.It lasted about 5 weeks before it just stopped working and died.Obviously, mine isn't the only one.If I had read these reviews beforehand, I wouldn't have bought it.

I had heard that these "micro fridges" really didn't keep food cool, but I really needed something for my snacks at work, since food items often disappear from the community refrigerator. The price was great, and I have to say I am really pleased with this product.It's a little loud (sounds like you're running a fan on low) but you get used to that. It keeps all of my food cold. It's been great to keep me on track eating healthier snacks that I bring from home.

I bought this to keep food in my office. The first few weeks it was okay. Then one day i turned it on cold, and it boiled my soup. I thought about just not using it after that, but since I spent money on it, I decided to give it another try. Thank god it was quiet in my office one morning, the plug began sparking and almost caught my office wall on fire. I'm no longer allowed to have a fridge because of this peice of crap.

...why can't a handicapped lady get a cold drink in the middle of the night??I've had this and several other similar models of the same unit, and they're more trouble than they're worth.It's very noisy, and not a "white noise" kind of noise...more of an irritating whining.Biggest problem is that they break...and fast.The longest I've had one is just over a year.The cord gets alarmingly warm or it just stops working, or forgets what mode it was set, heating cold drinks and melting cheese sticks.I wish I could find a decent little fridge for my bedtable, but this and similar appearing units are a bust.They may even all be manufactured by the same cheap cheap company.I will continue to look for a mini fridge, but will never get another one that looks like this.They're essentially all the same, and none of them have worked for me.

For now I use a vacuum insulated Thermos for my nighttime thirst quenching!It keeps water/juice cold for a good 6-8 hours and I don't have to worry about the room catching fire!

I had previously used a similar but a different personal fridge in a shared office that had been working well for many years and so wanted one of my own. I read all the reviews and thought that it was mere bad luck and that "it would not happen to me", but as reported by others, the product works fine for a month or so then suddenly quits for no apparent reason and becomes a useless piece of junk. Beware of this particular brand and product. Get a better quality elsewhere.

The LG line of fridge/freezers is a well-thought out design and takes advantage of inexpensive replacement parts for those pieces which are easily misused by their owners....too much stress or torque or inadvertent impact can destroy any makers 'innards'.I'm happy that LG provides easy to install, cost effective replacements.

The door was the same shape and function, but it had no labeling as the picture indicated. So it works, it just doesn't match.

I bought this as my first Kegerator, it came fairly quickly "about a week earlier than they had estimated". Setup was fairly simple, but had a few kinks. I had to reseat the tower hosing on the plastic ring it was mounted on as it was crooked, and the tap handle was missing. I was'nt very angry with the missing handle what I did was going to a local store and bought a "Shift Knob" that was really nice for my handle. The system came with the empty tank and the gauges I needed, I had to search alittle for a place that would fill that tank. When I did find a place to fill it it only cost about 15 bucks. so 25 bucks later I had a functioning kegerator. Overall I am very happy, who would'nt when they can have a nice cold draft at home?

We recently purchased the EdgeStar full size kegerator. Once assembled, we plugged it in and it would not cool down. We tried letting it sit for a few hours and then tried again to no avail. The compressor will kick on but there is no cool air circulating and the 1/4 keg we purchased is now becoming skunk. We called the company for help and they were the rudest, most unhelpful customer service people that we have ever dealt with. They do not have any servicing options available and we ( the customer) are required to ship it back at OUR cost in the ORIGINAL BOX and if there is any damage made while in transit back we're responsible for that also. The two people that we spoke with at EdgeStar were surly, disrespectful, and wanted to get us off the phone rather than do their job and help us.They claimed that they couldn't find our file or our purchase history when we became annoyed, they finally "found" our order. We DO NOT recommend doing any business with these people.

Their "helpline" is 866-319-5463. If you wanted an idea of their customer service before you purchase this item we encourage you to call and experience it for yourself. The only thing that we can be certain of is frustration.

I got this kegerator as a birthday gift 2 years ago. Easy to put together. The only problem was I kept loosing pressure from my Co2 tank but what I figured that out the keg has been great. The tank last for a good 6-7 kegs.

I read tons of reviews so knew what I was getting into and had some concerns from other reviews that turned out fine.

Temperature It is true that the kegerator was not getting cold enough but like many reviews mentioned all you have to do is call or email Edgestar and they will send you a pdf explaining how to take the casing of the thermostat and dial it down colder. The first time I went too far and my lines were freezing so i just brought it back a little and perfect.

Assembly When I was done I had a few pieces left. Not sure what they are for. Maybe if you want to convert to just a refrigerator with no tap. Biggest complaint with assembly was the bottom casing of the unit was slightly overlapping the hole that one of the casters screws into. I put a phillips head on there and tapped it with a hammer enough to shift it over. Didn't feel like taking the time to send it back over this and was confident I could remedy it myself but still a little disappointing the products actually go out like that.

Noise At first I didn't notice any noise above the noise any other refrigerator makes. I know notice some louder noise at times when I guess the unit is kicking on hire to maintain the temperature. It doesn't bother me but I wanted to mention it. I am watching TV right next to the thing and the noise really isn't any issue

CO2 The manual recommends up to 12 psi. I found that way too high and was getting wild beer. I start my keg more around 4-5 and then increase if necessary.

Keg sizes I have read a few reviews noting that the unit will not fit a standard size half barrel. I cannot speak to that as I am using only for homebrewing and have corny kegs in mine. I did notice someone say that their corny keg isn't fitting vertically which I was surprised by. Mine fit fine. I am wondering if it has something to do with the tap. I just have the gas line in and beer line out attachments on mine.

That's all the specific things I wanted to address and have seen in other reviews. I have had the unit for about 4 months now and am very happy so far. I knew getting into it I wasn't going to be using half barrels so had no concern about that and was confident I could get the unit colder which was no problem with the pdf Edgestar emailed me. I love being able to get cold draft beer at home and it saves me a ton of time from bottling all of my homebrew. Just remember to clean your lines regularly. I think this is a great value at the price it's listed. You can pay more and not have to deal with a few hiccups but I was glad to save some money.

You read a lot of reviews of wine coolers being too loud or do not cool properly. This may be a direct result of people not reading directions. When you move a refrigerator of any kind the unit is supposed to be kept upright. The reason for this is because there is very thick lubricant (oil) in the compressor unit. If the refrigerator has been moved, stored, or delivered sideways the oil must be given time to drain back into the compressor properly. If your unit was just delivered to you and the box is upright then you have to assume that it could have been on the truck for several days. This means the oil is not in the correct position in the compressor to be turned on as soon as you bring it home. The box this unit was shipped in is large and will more than likely have to be put on its side to fit in your vehicle. The instructions with this unit clearly state not to turn the unit on for a few hours to allow the lubricant to settle properly. I allowed for three hours to pass before plugging the unit in. Additionally, my wine was in my regular refrigerator and already cold when I put them in this cooler. This takes the unit less work to get the temperature down. This unit is very quiet and is keeping the temperature steady. You can hear the fan but during a normal conversation or with the tv on you have to really listen for it. For the money, this is a very nice and attractive unit.

I just got this yesterday and set it to 57 and it works perfectly.I just purchased some reds and opened door stacked them in there, fit perfectly and the temp didn't budge.I had a cheap (1/2 priced) 6 bottle Emerson that worked well for 4 years, now it won't cool down, it is being affected my our Indian Summer heat, which it never mattered before how hot my place got.This new one looks soooo much better, very quiet, no complaints at all, so far.I will do another post if anything changes, but so far I love it.Btw, it is positioned exactly next to my old one.So the placment is the same, and staying at a cool 57! Exactly where I want it.It is about 68 in my condo right now.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at this model when it arrived over a year ago.I had room for bottles with the corks placed back in, in addition to having room for wine stoppers as well. It also remembered where the thermostat was set to in the event of a power outage.It would go back to the setting once power was restored.

HOWEVER...Unit died right after the 1 year mark.Doesn't it always happen that way?

My kitchen is quite small and lacks a built-in microwave, so this model is a good fit for me.Pretty basic control pad but adequate for my purposes, as I use it mainly to reheat leftovers or prepare steamed veggies.I've had it for a month or so and can't say how it will hold up over time.Mine is white metal; the finish is smooth and of decent quality.The interior dimensions are fine for my needs.My only criticism so far is that the glass revolving tray lacks notches to keep it in place, and it moves out of alignment on occasion.I think this is a well-priced choice for a small kitchen, dorm room, or office, where it will get light use and won't get moved around a lot.

I have not been satisfied with this microwave at all.First of all the plate inside jumps around no matter how you position it, so everytime you try to cook something it sounds like there is a fight going on inside of this thing.Second of all the timer seems to only work half of the time.Kinda frustrating when you have something cooking on the stove and something cooking in the stove and not knowing how much time is left for the item to be cooked.And finally, the most important, the power of this model is pathetic.I know I read the description and such before purchasing, but come on, it can't even handle a lean pocket which is the most basic and most important of all microwave meals!Maybe my microwave was the red-headed stepchild in the factory and everyone else got the good ones, but I would stay clear of this junk and spring the extra dough for a good one.Now I'm out the cost of this AND a nice one...If you want a microwave dont get this, if you want a kitchen counter clock (without a reliable timer) by all means this is 100% what you need in your kitchen.

This is a heads up for anyone who has sensitive hearing as I do: this little microwave oven works well enough and fits nicely on the kitchen shelf but it has an annoyingly loud beeper to let you know the heating has finished (and it beeps again several times if you forget to take the dish out within a couple of minutes). I called the company to ask if there's a way to turn down the sound (or even turn it off!) but there isn't.

I like my new microwave but have a couple issues.You have to pull the door open, there is no button to pop the door open.This is fine but you need one had to stabilize the oven and the other had to pull the door open, not good if you are carrying your dinner in one of your hands. This is my first new oven in a few years, it will take some time to get used the the beep that lets me know I forgot my dinner!It is not a one touch then start type oven, you have to select an item, tell it how many you are cooking, then say "ok".It is just easier to put in the 3 minutes and start!

This is my second LG 10 cu. ft. bottom-freezer refrigerator.The first one is still being used as a spare.I cannot say enough about this model.I have a small kitchen and it looks great (nicely designed) and it does not appear small in height or width. I was checking out these filters to replace the more expensive GE filters.According to Water Sentinel themselves, these filters are certified against ANSI/NSF Standard 42, and only Standard 42.That standard is soley for aesthetics; that is, the filter removes chlorine that makes the water taste bad.The GE filters are certified against ANSI/NSF Standards 42 and 53.Standard 53 is for the reduction of lead, mercury, Giardia and other cysts, asbestos, and many other chemicals.The Water Sentinel filters DO NOT remove these items.So, although the water tastes better than tap water, it is not any safer than tap water.If you're buying filters only to improve the taste of the water, these are definitely less expensive than the GE filters.If you're buying filters to improve the safety and quality of the water, stick with the GE filters.

I almost bought the Brita brand filter again after reading about all the people experiencing leak problems, but I couldn't resist the savings.I've used the original GE MWF filter in my GE fridge, then switched to the Brita brand and have replaced several of those.I just recently found the WaterSentinal brand and it's about a third of the cost of the Brita.I went to install it in my fridge and like many others my fridge just sprayed water everywhere.It screwed in all the way like it was supposed to, but wouldn't stay sealed.When I opened the box I noticed another o-ring in there with a note that stated if it leaked then use this o-ring, so I quickly swapped out the o-ring and I was in business.I ran it for 5 minutes as they say to clear all the crud out, and I'm pleased to say that this filter works just as well as either the GE or Brita filter ever did.The flow is also noticeably faster too.Water and ice from this filter tastes the same, and I saved a bunch of cash! I'll be buying again for sure.

Installation was a cinch. Does what it claims. Cheaper than the GE filter. However, I think it's overpriced for what it is, but I guess they tailor their $ to GE's cost which is just ridiculous.

I purchased this for my GE refrig and it does NOT work properly.No matter how many times I tried to install it, it continuously sprays water inside the refrigerator.I will say, however that the Water Sentinel is a good company and admitted that they have had more than one complaint about it not working on some GEs.They are sending out a new one that "should work" at no cost to me even though I didn't order directly from them.So -just be aware that you may get one that is defective or just not compatible.

Caution, the Water Sentinel WSG-1 product is not a direct replacement for GE MWF water filter. The WSG-1 meets only NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for aesthetic affects, while the MWF also meets Standard 53 for health effects, reducing substances including cysts, lead, and mercury.

Also, the WSG-1 did not fit in my GE Profile refrigerator. I returned the WSG-1 units I ordered.

This product was as expected, replaced the 19 year old gasket. Looks nice and seals much better than the old torn one. Now I just need to replace the old crusty freezer gasket :(

Its not OE quality, but it did fit and seals properly. I soaked it in warm water in the bathtub and it was relatively easy to install.

We ordered this icemaker kit for our new refrigerator, and we were very pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to install.It seems to be working beautifully so far!

The water inlet valve was too short and had to purchase a longer one. The water valve did not fit my water lines and had to replace it also. It is a good ice maker but do not expect all the parts to fit!

**DO NOT BUY** FACTORY DESIGN DEFECT.Yes it's true, in 2010 they cannot design a refrigerator that functions properly.The same cold air that freezes the water tray for cubes, ALSO freezes the water line for the cubes!On top of that, the so called "fix" doesn't work either!Other than that, it's seems to be a pretty nice unit...unless you care about having ice.LED lighting sure is sexy though.Ours stopped working almost immediately.It also had another issue with the ice maker.The optical interrupter plastic slide switch had a mind of it's own.Whenever you closed the door, it would slide into the OFF position!I recall the words of the repairman upon seeing this as he shook his head, "bad design".Well at least if they're going to fail, they might as well from the get go instead of AFTER the "trial" period.Luckily we had ours taken back within our 14 day "extended" trial.I say that because once I knew we had problems that had to be repaired and would take a couple weeks to get parts in, I went to HHG and informed them of the situation and they agreed to extend the trial period till "after" repairs.If they would have said no, I was going to tell them to come pick it up immediately. Everyone should remember to do this when this situation arises.Actually I thought most trial periods were a standard 30 days?Just goes to show how they continue to squeeze for every advantage.What's really disgusting is that these units are still being offered to the public, when they are obviously defective.I imagine Whirlpool is implementing some damage control now.I understand the complexities of product design having worked in engineering. MEMO to Whirlpool: Before you release into the wild, test and VALIDATE your product better.That said, my other two kitchen appliances are Whirlpool.Please don't ruin your good name like Maytag did.

By the way, we got the similar Whirlpool Model WSF26D4EXY with the conventional unit ice maker as a replacement...fingers crossed.

I would have to agree with the other reviews.Bought this (not cheap) refrigerator and the ice maker has broken twice on it.Also, one of the LED lights went out and the tech keeps ordering the incorrect part for it (no fault of his though the description for the part makes no sense)The tech finally ordered a whole new ice maker but it is on back order until Dec 10 so we will be without ice until then.We had it a week and the ice maker stopped, fixed and worked again for a couple days and broke again.NOT HAPPY.Also got it from HHGregg which I will go pay a visit to and tell them they can have it back.This is crazy.You pay good money for something and it doesnt work.Wish I had read these other reviews prior to the purchase.Learned my lesson.

Had refrig installed 9/12/10. It made 1/2 bucket of ice and has not worked since. I am currently waiting for a service call between 10-1 today. After reading previous review I am not thrilled.

10/5/10 First service guy said that freezer was not cold enough and we should set temp to -2. Not happening. Pretty sure water freezes at 32. Anyway that guy left and did nothing. Ice worked for a few days and stopped working again. Had another service call today. This guy said the water in the door is freezing. He just fixed this issue on a similar model 2 weeks ago. Need to order part and call for appt once part comes in. BTW I was on hold 45 on Monday to get service call appt. He thawed out the water line so I could have ice today but it will freeze up in a day or two. I asked Whirlpool for a new refrigerator and they said "No". My warranty says if it can be repaired then that is what we must do.

Be careful of this model with ice in door. It is a new model and it seems to have a defect. Buyer Beware!

Update 7/13/11.Yes, they did fix the ice maker problem and everything worked well for several months. Then all of a sudden the whole thing started leaking water. I didn't know where it was coming from but it kept accumulating in front of the fridge. I finally cut off the water line to it and waited for the repair day.Sure enough, some little part had cracked and within a few mintues all was working fine again. I continue to like the appliance except for the problems. I also don't like having to wait the several days each time for the scheduled repair day.

I'm hoping that in a couple of months I can change my rating to five stars.I usually don't purchase items that haven't been reviewed but this refrigerator was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted the ice storage to be in the door but didn't want to have to remove the whole thing to access ice by hand and without using the dispenser. I bought it ag HHGregg for a good price and it was delivered the following day. Installation was not a problem. It made ice and water without a problem. But, a week later it stopped making ice. Because of the long weekend I had to wait three days to reach Whirlpool and then another two days for the service appointment. Well, that was today and I was told it needed a part but because the refrigerator was so new the part had to be ordered. I now have another service appointment for next week to have it fixed. Other than the ice maker problem, it's a great refrigerator with lots of space. My old top freezer was always jammed full and now I have more freezer space than I know what to do with.

Update on 9/20/10: Repair person came back to install parts and assured me it would work. Nope. Waited 24 hours to see if it made ice with no luck. So, now waiting yet another week for my third service call. Will have had the refrigerator for 4 weeks with the ice maker only working 1 week! Like the fridge other than the ice maker. Tons of space especially for the bag of ice I had to buy.

I was concerned about the ice maker in this fridge after reading all the reviews. After some encouraging reviews on other site, we decided to give it a try. The water pipe freezing issue has been resolved in 2011 models which adds a heater around the water pipe in the door. The fridge makes enough ice for normal use, we have never ran out of ice in two months. We make smoothies every day and use ice in our water, family of 4. The ice storage is not enough for the parties but that's true for any in-door ice maker.

All other things in this fridge works perfect. Spacious energy efficient design with nice decor.
