Love the overall product, just hate that the plastic shelf for the gallon door bin broke within first week of purchase. It got stuck and when we opened door, it broke off. It's $17+ to buy replacement part, so we just don't use bottom half of door. Really like the top half of door that holds 8 drink cans! Maybe they should have done away with bottom shelf and made entire door can holder. We got it on sale for a little over $100 at Walmart last year, so it's definitely worth that price. I'm not sure I'd pay much more than that though.

GE Profile 259 Cu Ft Side-by-Side Refrigerator with Thru-the-Doo

I bought this refrigerator in January and had it delivered to my home in February. I've had it for almost 4 months now and haven't had any issues. The appliance itself is beautiful, inside and out. It's very large, so make sure you measure and have the space for it before you order it. I feel like this appliance and the other matching ones I ordered gave my kitchen an instant facelift!

The temperature controls on the front are handy. I don't mess with them much, but there is an option for extra cooling in the fridge section for when you go grocery shopping and put your items inside. It cools them down faster than normal to reduce bacteria. The ice maker works well. Occasionally I have issues with the ice clumping together and I have to reach in and shake it all around, but I've had that issue with many other icemakers. I haven't had an issue with the shelving the way the other reviewer mentioned, but occasionally I have trouble getting my cheese drawer to pull out. It seems to stick somewhat, but isn't a big deal. That's the only issues I've had at all with this.

I made sure to purchase my appliances from Lowe's when they were running a rebate through GE. I also sued a 10% off coupon to help lower the price even more. I'd definitely recommend trying to get the best deal possible because the Profile series from GE does run quite a bit higher than most other brands. I think you get a prettier product, but not necessarily a better one. Hope this helps you make your decision.

Have a 2 year old side by side GE profile, it started to get warmer and running constantly. Had the repairman come out to look at it, he said the condensing coil is leaking. The fix would be replace the compressor, condensing coil and evaporator coil the whole sealed unit. I asked the repairman isn't this unusual for a frig to be only 2 years old and have this type of problem. He said because I live by the ocean in an corrosive environment this is the reason this happened. I mentioned to him that I had a 15 year old Whirlpool refrigerator in the utility room that has been running just find all this time. The only good thing out of this is that problem in the sealed unit is covered under a 5 year warranty.

If you search on the Internet you will find lots of people, including myself who have purchased these side-by-side GE refrigerator/freezers and have problems with the shelving constantly collapsing and sending your food tumbling out of the unit when you open the door.This is clearly a design flaw.They made the shelves too narrow and they will fall in between the notches that are meant to hold them.AVOID!

4.5 x 10 Whole House Water Filter - Transparent PWFHT4510BT by Kem Flow

Wish i could give 4.5 starts, the unit is well made, seems like heavy plastic, the bracket is solid. The clear housing makes filter and sediment inspection a breeze.

Shipping was fast, and unit arrived with no issues.All the parts were in the box and the price was better than i could get at other places.

Other units I have seen have a by-pass valve, my neighbor has one and the down side if it flushes sediment into the house pipes.The upside is it makes it easy to relieve the pressure on the unit for filter removal.I have not had to replace the filter as if yet, so cant comment on how easy it will to relieve the pressure (which the only way you can remove the casing to get to the filter).

The one negative I have on the unit unit is the NTP threading.For my installation I needed these to be 90 degrees, and did not want to have to buy a nipple+elbow, so i bought the NTP-90.Well, getting a tight AND keeping the right exit angle is difficult.Seems to me the unit threads are a tad large making it difficult to seat the pipe fittings COMPLETELY and avoiding a leak; even with 3 layers of pipe tape...

Other than that its a GREAT buy.

I see that I made 125 Amazon purchases in the last 12 months; this is the first bad review I've ever written.The unit stopped working after 7 months.To be fair, the unit had gotten banged up during delivery (I contacted the company to try to deal with it, but to no avail).Now it doesn't work at all.I've called the toll-free number on the front panel, I've left many messages.No one has bothered to call me back.Unbelievable.I guess I'll be buying another unit, but it sure won't be from Vinotemp!!

I was very suprised for the price this was a compressor not thermoelectric unit. Works great, so thats good news. I had two cases of wine to store asap, so this was perfect. Looks great, nice design and my friends love it too. My parents had a Vinotemp in the house so I now understand why.

I bought a VT27 TSfor $200 at Costco because it fit my specs exactly.

It was purchased for a seasonal residence where it worked for four months. When we returned the unit was not working, but of course the warranty had expired.

Customer service diagnosed the problem as a relay overload which could be purchased online but was out of stock for at least 6 weeks.

Therefore buyer beware!Inexpensive, Chinese import doesn't mean dependability and quality!!!!

Not a bad product, but if something happens to it forget about calling customer service and buy a new fridge.

I called the number of the front and before I could fully get out of my mouth what was wrong with the fridge, an agent told me it would cost $50 to replace it.How did they know what was wrong?

What really amazed me was how little they cared about ruining $2,000 in wine.Extremely rude and told me it was my problem.

Don't buy!
