I've read the other reviews on this unit, and I still picked one up. This isn't a book/batteries/small retail, and when buying it from Amazon, you should really be present at delivery to insure no damage befell your unit in shipping. I was home when this came, and I looked over the box before I let the UPS driver go. It came double boxed with quite a bit of foam and cardboard protecting the fridge, then more cardboard protecting the tower/bottle/regulator/etc inside. After attaching the casters and fully assembling the unit, I waited the recommended 8 hours (really, I waited overnight) before plugging it in. I let it run for another night to be sure it was cooling properly, and then. after I decided everything was fine, I filled the CO2 bottle and purchased my keg. Don't omit this series of steps. If you want a working kegorator, pay attention to the instructions that come with it. It's pretty simple.***UPDATE***
More than a year later, this kegorator is still going strong. I did have to replace the gas bottle it came with on the 2nd fill, which was pretty disappointing, but with that exception it's still working perfectly.

great for the money. ok quality.they have videos on youtube of this and similar units which helped a lot with assembly and others for setting up co2.
Only negetive it is a bit loud for its size, sounds like any other fridge. Like any keg it takes a bit of adjusting with the co2 (which gauges work very well)
***** If the temp does not get cold enough, pop the thermostat off with two screws on the back and adjust the little screw on top clockwise. This adjusts the temp lower. I turned it maybe one full turn which got my beer in the glass at 38 degrees which is perfect for me.******

We bought this kegerator after living in Germany.It is hard to drink American beer after living in Germany.And, German beer is absurdly expensive by the bottle in the USA compared to how CHEAP it is across the pond.So this was our Christmas gift to ourselves.We decided on this model because we did not want to spend more than was necessary.Of course, we had to purchase an alpha coupler for the German barrels, which added to the expense.Our first keg was a Paulaner hefeweisen and it is a little taller so it BARELY fit into the fridge.We had to do some strategic bending of the coupler....and we had to remove the extra tray for barrel support.but we made it work.Our second keg is a Franziskaner and it still would have required bending the neck and removing the barrel base.So, this model is not ideal for those who want to use German kegs.That said, it IS working, it WAS a great deal, and we ARE very happy with it.The beer is cold.It is not the quietest thing ever, however, it is not bad and it doesn't have to run that often.It arrived with some minor quality issues that only effect the appearance.But you get what you pay for and we recognize that.Save 12% Off
I've had this kegerator for a week and so far so good.It came with more than what was detailed, such as a 2.5 beer gas tank, a dual gauge regulator, hoses, fittings, faucet, generic tap handle, wheels/casters, etc.I read all of the reviews good & bad, most seem to be upset with the temp. of their beer or noisy operation of the compressor.I bought a thermometer to leave in the kegerator and it pretty much stays at 30 degrees F (cold beer).I'm sure this isn't the most quiet kegerator out there, don't buy this if you're planning on drinking in a library.Other than that it isn't all that noisy.For the price, operation, and shipping I gave this a 5 star.Where else can u find a brand new kegerator for under $400.
