Bought this unit back last October and from the beginning have had nothing but issues with it. I have had it serviced 4 times in the last year with now that it is out of warranty by just three weeks and still not working whirlpool has pretty much told me tough you have to pay to have it fixed if we send someone out now.This saddens me since they claim that there are no recalls on this unit and they haven't had complaints like mine but yet check any of their major retailers on this unit(lowe's, sears) and they are screaming the same problem i am having with not just this unit model but several like it. They have knowledge of the issues with this unit and should not still be selling it to consumers it is unethical. I just have to chalk it up to a lesson learned I suppose.
The main problem with this refrigerator was condensation build up on the magnetic strip of the freezer door. After reading the other reviews I see I'm not alone with this problem. For some reason condensation builds up and water leaks down the middle of the outside of the refrigerator. I'm not sure but that could be the cause of the condensation. When spending this much money on a refrigerator you would think that it would work right.
When whirlpool service the unit they merely replaced the filter tub heater kit which made it work a little. My unit has not made a piece of ice in over a month now with it just being a little over a year old...stay away from this unit and this company if you want quality or to be treated like a important customer cause you will not get either.
Please read reviews on this unit at their retailers website. Lowe's to be exact.
Keep in mind when looking at refrigerators that Whirlpool owns Whirlpool, KitchenAid, and Maytag.
Only advice I would give to anyone thinking of buying this Whirlpool refrigerator is if you buy it you better buy an extended warranty with it
A lot of people don't know why their icemaker doesn't work or stopped working.I figured it out I think -the new design allows the water line to the icemaker to freeze up.
Various brands (we have this Whirlpool, but the Samsungs are the same for example) switched to an icemaker-in-the-door design to free up more freezer shelf space and claim a bigger total cubic feet.
Then they sold it to us, not ready for prime time.
The result reminds me of the Boeing 787 rolling out with the battery/charger operation not tested enough (today the whole fleet is grounded).
But the FAA won't rescue you and me.
After a manual defrost the icemaker started working.I noticed that it froze *AFTER* the bin got full.Easy to figure out that when the water was standing in the line for days, it could freeze.
I reluctantly decided to raise the freezer from -4F to +4F, and am hoping this 8 degrees warmer will do the trick.
But if it doesn't, Whirlpool is going to get tested for their service.First the ice overflowed, then there was no ice, then overflowed, then no ice. Finally they replace the entire icemakeing unit and it worked!... for six months. Now out of warranty guys will be out again tomorrow and I'm sure it will cost me. I'll get a new fridge before I pay for repairs.I bought this fridge almost 4 months ago and I have had no issues with it what so ever, other than not being able to fill it up! It's soo roomy. I read reviews that there were issues with the icemaker; however, mine has worked like a charm. I love the glass shelves!So far we are happy with our purchase, very roomy inside. The only thing is that plastic inside isn't as durable on the doors. Ice maker is a little too loud when there is no ice in the bin, but after few fills we don't hear it at all. We are happy with our purchase and would recomend it to a friend.

I wanted to replace the old FXRC "by Culligan" filter in my GE Profile fridge.According to this product listing and the GE website, I should have purchased a MWF filter plus the filter adapter.That would have been cheaper than buying this MXRC, but reviews suggest that it doesn't work very well on older refrigerators due to lower water pressure.I read a bunch of reviews here that made me think the MXRC might work fine though I wasn't sure if my refrigerator model would be OK with it as the other reviews don't specify refrigerator model #s.
I decided to roll the dice and bought this MXRC filter and it seems to fit and function exactly like the FXRC it replaced.Not necessarily as far as actual filtration goes I have no idea about that, but it doesn't leak and water comes out probably a little faster than it did before.
So, to fill in the information gap that I faced:I have a GE tfx25jp, which, I believe, is a.k.a. GE Profile Model 25, and NOT a Monogram.

Good News:Does not seem to be a gimmick fridge, it is truly a fridge because my cokes were indeed ICE COLD!!!
Bad News:
It buzzes and it breathes. Think of Darth Vader! Yes, that type of breathing sound! It is weird to say the least. I think it's good for a game room where you won't be sleeping, but if you're thinking about bedroom, FORGET IT! There is no break, no cycling as others have mentioned. For some reason, mine is a constant buzz, constant breathing. Maybe it's because I have the setting at "COOLEST," but why wouldn't you want your cokes to be as cold as can be?
A WORD ABOUT THE PACKAGING AND DELIVERY:
Now Amazon has pulled this product and I know exactly why since I bought it. It's kinda funny actually. It's shipped to you in it's retail box. Meaning they do not put it inside a real shipping box. They do put one of those plastic ribbons around it. There was only 1 ribbon! They didn't bother to secure it with a second cross ribbon. Anyway, shipping without a brown shipping box isn't anything out of the ordinary. Heck, my recent drill press from Amazon was shipped that way. It's not good if you live in a bad area and you're not home, and people can clearly see a brand spanking new Coke Fridge on your porch. However, that's not the problem. Once I was able to drag the box inside my house and I was lifting by the plastic ribbon, it was starting to slide to one side. Good thing it did not slide off!!! Because once inside the house, I cut the ribbon with a scissor, but I decided I needed to move the box to another room. I bend down to grab the box by its left and right side squatting like a weightlifter, when I got up the box felt very light. The fridge was still on the floor!! LOL! They apparently cut all four sides of the bottom with an exacto knife or something. Now do you see how dangerous it was for them to only put one plastic ribbon around the box?
I don't know if the packaging is prepared this way by Nostalgia Electronics, or if this is Amazon's idea of frustration free packaging. LOL! Anyway, I'm sure this is why they have pulled the item for the time being.
I'm going to return mine due to the noise and a ding/dent I found on the side of the door fridge, probably due to the lack of real packaging. But I will package it and return it to them better than how they delivered it to me.

The item is cute and works well. People complained of noise, but I don't hear it at all over my radio (which is not loud) at work. It does keep items very cold. My complaint is the packaging. It arrived in it's original box within a packing box; however, there was no padding whatsoever. The fridge had a dent on the side and the top was scratched in a few spots. I didn't feel like packaging it back up since it keeps things cold, but I'm very annoyed that it was damaged before it even came out of the box.

This refrigerator has very clean look when closed. It is bright and spacious when open. There is a bright light in the top. There is a light in the fruit/veggy drawer. There is even a light in the freezer.All the drawers glide smoothly. The split shelves are easy to move to make it as efficient inside as possible. Maintains temperatures as set. The freezer runs cold (-10F) while it is filling the ice tray.
Yes you can hear it run but by no means is it noisy.

The bottom freezer is only a little bigger than the old top (19cu ft) freezer.
If the unit doesn't fit in the 36" wide area measure the refrig. My first one was 36.5" not 35.6".

I would not recommend this to replace the Whirlpool filter WHKF-R-PLUS and I hope that Amazon will remove this from the product description before some other person ruins their kitchen.
I was able to find the actual Whirlpool filter and it has been in for one day now without leaking so it was definitely the Water Sentinel WSQ-1 that was the problem.

I have had several of these and they work flawlessly with no leaks...leaks occur when it isn't installed properly and the gasket gets damaged...that is most likely the issue with the one-star from the buyer...

I had several things that I wanted. One was the potential for the same length of a normal wash cycle (114 minutes with added heat).Secondly, I wanted hard food disposal and loading flex. I'm very easy to please.
All the newer models available had a little of this, a little of that. And the cycles were torturous in length because new and eco friendly uses less water and energy. It does not appear by reviews to help with cleanliness. In as much as the specs for the motor in this machine(GDWT 668) are the same as my old machine,(PDW 8480) the features do not work the same.
The positives, thus far, are that the dishes are shinier than I remember and the glassware sparkles! It does run more quiet than the old DW. The decibel level went from 53 to 52. And, as the new dishwasher only came with a pittance of insulation, I took my old insulation which wrapped the entire machine and re-used it, so this surely adds to the sound barrier. The dishes are clean, yes, and it runs quiet...but there are negatives in general.
The basket lay-outs have changed and actually gotten smaller. Most machines I researched did not have fold down tines and I wanted this feature. I have folding tines in the lower rack, but it doesn't help to improve loading capability like the old DW.I have a large fry pan that I was able to load upright on the side. Now, it won't fit with the tine placement and if I put the tines down, there is no support to keep the pan upright and save loading space for seven peoples dirty dishes. I cannot fit two rows of coffee cups easily on the top basket, either and I could before. Again, smaller features. I was going to try and take the old lower basket and use it, but it's larger, sadly. I'll get used to it.
The silverware basket has a lovely cover system of holes that makes it so each piece can be cleaned without nesting. Frankly, if I had that kind of time, I would do without a darn DW, so I don't use it!
The final thing is that the added heat and drying do not work the same at all. The Manufacturer recommends Jet Dry. So, because it came with, I am using it. That being said, I have not opened any load of dishes to find them dry, glasses and mugs in particular. Nor is the door of the DW completely dry as with my old PDW8480. It's quite annoying, but not a deal breaker. I am not going to uninstall the darn thing because it sucks at drying stuff. I'll just be grabbing a towel and be glad it's all I've got to do!
I just hope that paying the $819.00 will last me 7 more years. I don't agree with any of the eco friendly technologies because in reading reviews, those people are paying more for less all the way around, with the exception of emotional comfort that they are helping to save the environs. This is why I chose the near identical DW hoping to get the same work out of it. I am practical and what works for me, may not work for others. Nothing is perfect, so it gets 3 stars. It cleans well, is quiet, and looks count.

I didn't purchase this dishwasher on Amazon; I bought it elsewhere. Hopefully that doesn't discount my review at all.
That said, we're really happy with our dishwasher. We did all of the research on Consumer Reports and read all of the consumer reviews from retail places like Amazon and Best Buy. The best thing to do is to just find one with the features you want and hope for the best. That's what we did and it worked out nicely. The consumer reviews are pretty polarizing: "1 star this thing is terrible and noisy!" or "5 star awesome unit!" Rarely do people actually go into good detail with it (except with KitchenAid's and their broken racks).
That said, here's why we bought ours. It has a self cleaning food grinder. We plan on renting our place out rather than selling after we leave, so things like a food disposal are more tenant friendly. None of the Euro brands have a food disposal so keep that in mind when your friends brag about how quiet their unit is. It means that they have to clean a waste filter by hand. No thanks.
This dishwasher also has nice features like steam clean, heated water, sanitizing confirmation, etc. Our water is already pretty hot so the only one we use on a regular basis is sanitize. I'd say it works really well, but honestly I have no idea if it's working. Steam clean works, but we rarely use it unless we're lazy (or tipsy) when doing the dishes. Overall it's quiet so that's a nice plus. The water pump in this unit is really good and that's honestly the loudest thing in the cycle. Not the pump itself, but the sound of the water dumping into your disposal or p-trap. Nothing GE can do about that though.
The blower for the top rack is nice and gets all the glasses completely dry. The only exception is plastic cups. Nothing gets plastic cups dry.
Overall, a nice dishwasher that we'd recommend.

Purchased this as an alternative to normal charcoal filters trying to do my "green thing" for the environment.I have switched back to normal filters. These do an ok job but they don't remove the taste that Dallas water has.Not much natural spring water here in the Dallas area and therefore water is pulled from reservoirs and ponds which has a high algae / green content.Normal filters filter out the taste, these don't.

It started with the power cord and charger malfunctioning. There is no means by which to contact Eurocave directly. There is no phone number on their web site. I was not able to get assisstance through the vendor I bought the product from since they are not a distributor. I ended up callingthe Wineenthusiast for help. They were wonderful and fixed the issued by selling me a new charger and power cord.
Now the indicator light on the control panel is flashing red continually and the oxygen vacuum extraction system no longer works. The Wineenthusiast has no solution except for buying another one to replace mine. Another $400 some dollars for a potentially malfunctioning system??? I am still in shock that there is no recourse to address the problem. I DO NOT recommend this product, nor the vendor as they have non-existent customer service.

I bought this item for my husband for Christmas 2008. It works great and extends the life of wine enabling you to have a glass of white or red or preserve two reds. The "malfunctioning" of the air seal mentioned is not really a malfunction if you push one of the tops down. It will continue to try to suck the air out of a bottle that's not there. Also, you need to remove the foil at the top of the bottle so it can seal properly. I'm surprised that one customer had a hard time with Wine Enthusiast. I had some questions for them regarding this unit and they were very helpful. Very satisfied with this product.

Bottom line Don't buy this!
You can imagine my excitement the day I opened my EuroCave SoWinewine preserver.I could now safely store open bottles of both red and white wine in an attractive, boastful mechanical marvel.The gift was for Christmas 2009 and showed a manufacturing date of 9/2008.Coming from a small wine shop, I guess that they did not sell a lot of these.
I plugged the unit in per the instructions, and immediately I heard a loud clattering noise and the indicator lights began flashing in error.I understand how products sometimes are defective, especially when they are imported from faraway locations as France.
It went back to the wine shop in January 2010.Of course they did not have a replacement on hand, but ordered one for me.The new one arrived in March 2010, again with a manufacturing date of 9/2008.They must have made a lot of these back then.
It worked great!My white wines were chilled to perfection, the reds kept at room temperature.Three months later the indicator lights started flashing in error again, the vacuum pump refused to turn off and the chiller stopped working.
I went back to the wine shop in June 2010 for another replacement.This time it took 4 months for the new one to arrive.As I unpacked it, I noticed the manufacturing date again 9/2008!!This one seemed to do the trick, but only lasted 3 months.The left hand indicator light stays on the white wine setting, the left on the red wine setting.They both flashed and could not be changed.It didn't matter as the cooler and warmer didn't work anyway.The pump continued to run and the sound of the machine was annoying.
When I returned to the wine shop, they were out of business.I tried contacting the manufacturer in France without success.There are no service centers in the United States.The Wine Enthusiast company (The name appearing on the box) are only retailers and offered me a discount on a new one.
I unplugged this piece of crap and now store red wine in it as it does keep it at room temperature so does my kitchen counter for that matter.
My advice:If you are thinking about buying this, you would be better purchasing a $334.78 bottle of fine wine, knowing in advance that you will be pissing your money away the next morning.
