I found it was strange that the 32 bottle unit had the same dimensions as this one (33In tall for a 15 bottle unit seemed strange too.)

This is a terrific compact wine cooler. It fits perfectly in the pantry, holds just the right amount of bottles and keeps them at the selected temperature. Having storage in the door for opened bottles and a space to chill two wine glasses is a terrific feature. The motor is very quiet.

I've had this cooler for about a month now, and it is great my purposes. I only drink reds, and would store them in a cabinet, but I keep my home at about ~85F when I'm at work or away and didn't want them to remain at that temperature for long periods of time. I could have kept them in the refrigerator, but I enjoy them at only slightly cooler than room temperature, and refridgerated is much too cool. So this works perfect, as I can store them at the same temperature I like to drink them.

Very classy look, especially when the internal light is on, though I normally leave it off. Only thing I didn't like was the back, which has a non-finished sheet metal cover. This would only be an issue when it wasn't against a wall, which was the case with me (on my bar, with the back of it be facing my living area). This was remedied by removing it (very easy) and painting a metalic black. After that it looked fine.

Temperature setting is very easy, though I determined that it was ~5F higher than it reads. Not a problem, just set it 5F lower. Though not sure how that would work for people who wanted to keep it at the low end of the temperature range.

The cooling system runs frequenly, but it is fairly quite can only hear it if everything else is off (my refrigerator easily drowns it out).

I bought this wine fridge as a gift for my fiancee about 6 months ago. We agree that it works really well. We are beginner wine enthusiasts; and drinking red wine at cellar temperature makes a big difference to us. My only complaint with this product is that on two occasions, the temperature dropped at least five degrees lower than the temperature at which we had set it. But at least that has only happened twice, hence the four-star rating instead of five.

This is great value for money.You could easily pay twice as much for a lesser product.I liked my first one so much taht I bought a second.

On the plus side, the unit is attractive, keeps things quite cold, and is not very loud although I'm not sure I'd want it in my study.I have three problems with the unit.The first is that the packaging is terrible.Even though there was no evidence on the box of any trauma, the door of my unit was dislodged due to the upper hinge being displaced.It fortunately came back into line with a few taps using a light hammer.The cause of the dislocation is that the bottom of the shipping package lacks rigidity.In fact the whole thing lacks packing protection, being shielded by a miniscule amount of thin, low density styrofoam.It's been a long time since I saw a new product packaged this poorly.I consider myself lucky that the unit arrived in as good a shape as it did.Second, the exterior is painted with a matte black paint that is neither smooth nor easy to clean.Third, the front door sweats like crazy in a non air conditioned environment.The condensate then drips from the door onto the underlying surface.I have this in my garage.I've not yet figured out what I want to do with this item, but I'm not totally happy with my purchase.

I had a smelly refrigerator that came with the apartment I am renting, so other tenants have used it.It smelled like fish, ammonia, and other horrible smells despite how many times I cleaned it or attempted to deodorize it with baking soda.Everything I put in that thing had this distinct, pungent odor when I pulled it out after awhile.The odor particularly leeched into plastic bags and containers and coffee grinds.It reeked!

While the odor didn't make my food taste bad, whenever I pulled out something I had to hold my breath to let the smell dissipate so I wouldn't loose my appetite!Even then, the odor still lingered and was still detectable.It was that bad.The odor was in the freezer too, and it made my ice have a distinct, horrible taste.I had to drink lukewarm tap water and anything in a sealed container in the refrigerator, because the odor would dissipate into open containers of liquids and spoil their taste.So, I had no ice for quite some time except if I bought a bag at the store!

I had originally heard about putting newspaper into a refrigerator because the ink contained absorbing carbon and the paper itself absorbs odor rather well, too.I did that and noticed a difference after a few hours.I then researched better options and found that activated charcoal is more effective.I looked on Amazon and found these Whirlpool activated charcoal boxes specifically designed for problems like mine.I got the box for the refrigerator and the one for the freezer.I highly recommend you do that, because air mixes into both compartments of the refrigerator.

At first I didn't notice much of a difference, but it was slightly better after the first night.I followed the directions of the freezer absorber box and changed out the ice every day.That helped, but what really helped was throwing away my old ice cube trays after a few weeks when the overall smell had dissipated, because I noticed the plastic tray itself had absorbed too much of that horrible smell.I got new trays and put them in after about 3 weeks of having both absorber boxes in the refrigerator.

It worked like a charm, and I now have a nearly odor free refrigerator!It doesn't smell like it used to at all, but it may have some more to go.It was really smelly.However, I can now put open liquids in both freezer and refrigerator compartments and they do not taste bad at all!It's amazing!If you have a stubborn odor in your refrigerator, get both the ice cube and refrigerator odor absorbers!You'll be amazed at how well they work, and I suggest throwing away your old ice cube trays because these odor absorbers cannot seem to get odors out of the trays.I highly recommend these!You will not regret this purchase!

I looked up the part on various sites, using the part # on the parts lists. When it arrived, It had both the overload, and the start relay. The refrig I have seems to be a little different. The Spade Connector that ataches to the power cable was only about 1/8" wide, and the one that came with the kit was about 1/4" wide. I was able to file it down, and it seems to work as I am writing this. I ordered a capacitator also, but I saw no way to use the cap if I used the start relay. I looked back, and all websites seem to look like the wider spade.So far, I am happy with the quality.

We're a couple who does HUGE amounts of web research before we make a purchase, but what with this being a fairly new product, there wasn't much to be found. It came highly recommended by our dealer, though, so we went ahead and took the plunge.

This is, by far, the best kitchen appliance I've ever purchased. Capacity is amazing you can get VERY BIG stuff in this dishwasher. Cleaning is great especially compared with our old unit, which left crud inside many bowls and glasses. But really, you couldn't ask for any better in the cleaning quality department. We do now use a rinse aid, which is pretty much essential with the stainless interior which, by the way, retains heat better and, yes, looks very cool. After a short while, some soap film has appeared near the bottom-front of the tub, but that's easily wiped away.

The repositionable silverware basket is a real boon. It fits up against the inside of the door, buying back a substantial amount of space from the lower rack.

As far as the noise level goes, we joke to each other that the sound of it is deafening, and cover our ears in mock distress. This is because, as advertised, it's a VERY quiet dishwasher. You can pretty much only hear it when it's either intaking water for the wash, or draining it at the end of a cycle. I've gone to start it only to realize that my husband already has it running.

One thing you should know: this unit is not fast. It takes at least a couple of hours to do a load of dishes. That's a result of the energy-saving properties of the design. It does, however, have a one-hour wash mode, and for moderately soiled dishes, i.e.,just glasses and plates, this works great.

Overall, I can't recommend this product highly enough. One thing I wish to share: We purchased our appliances (we built a new house, so needed everything) from a local business, and yes, probably paid about 10% more than at Sears or a big-box store, but we chose to keep the money in our community. And having our service people just a few miles away, and happy to answer questions, etc. has been very helpful. 10% for dealer nearby who cares if you buy from them again is a bargain, in my book. Buy this dishwasher!

Green Filter for Kenmore 9990 NSF Certified Refrigerator Water Filter, Certif...

I bought this product hoping to save a few bucks, go green, and also because my local Sears was out of stock of my particular filter.I followed the instructions, including the instruction to soak the filter in water for 15-20 mins before installing which seemed extremely odd to me.

I found that the filter did not "easily" install, took quite a bit more effort than the standard Sears/Kenmore brand filter.Thankfully I did not damage my refridgerator.

As you normally would (to release trapped air), I ran water through the system after installing the new filter and was not happy to find that the water coming out of my fridge was black!I ran approximately 1+ gallons of water through the system and the color of the water lightened up a bit, but was still a very dark color.Needless to say, I removed the filter and reinstalled the previous Kenmore brand filter, ran a few gallons throught the system and was happy to see the water color return to normal.

One positive aspect of this entire ordeal was the return process.DeepDiscountsco had no issues accepting the return and refunded the full amount I originally paid.They also refunded my return shipping.Gave the extra 2nd star as a credit to their very friendly returns people.

I bought this based soley on price.While it states compatable with 9990 style filters, this does not fit in my fridge, and while installing, damaged the receiver, requiring an visit from the repairman.I thought I was going to save some money.I shall only buy these parts from the Sears store from now on.
