We bought one of these dryers in late 2011, and loved it: looks and works great.

Then we moved in 2013, and after installing the dryer in the new house, the lint inside the dryer housing ignited. Some of the lint must have shifted during the move, moving closer to the gas heater source. Luckily, the fire didn't cause major damage. I did some research online, and came across a class-action suite, "", which seems to indicate that this was not just an isolated incident.

You need to take the back of the dryer off in order to see the lint buildup inside the dryer housing (around the drum motor, heater source, etc), and vacuum up as much lint as possible. My wife is meticulous about cleaning the lint trap with every load, so there may be a design issue involved letting the lint migrate inside the housing. We will keep using it, but will check the lint build-up often to make sure it is safe.

We had trouble with our ice having a bit of a nasty plastic/rubber smell and taste. I figured I'd give a filter a try and see if it would work at reducing and/or eliminating it.

I ordered the Whirlpool filter and after a quick and easy installation (as well as running water through it for a couple of minutes to clear up the charcoal particles) I was in business. The smell and taste is completely gone! My ice has no weird smell or taste. Can't recommend this filter enough.

Having moved recently, we were not happy to note the odd taste of the city water in our area.As our Kenmore refrigerator is the type that dispenses ice and water, we felt that installing an inline filter was a good idea.This filter does a great job of eliminating the strong chlorinated flavor that was in our water.In fact, the difference is so obvious, even our kids commented.

My husband knows his way around a tool box so the installation of this filter was fairly routine for him.However, those who are intimidated by the idea of making burr free cuts in a water line may want to look at a different filtering solution.The filter is fairly small and easily tucks away out of sight behind the appliance without forcing the unit further out into the room.

If you happen to click on additional information you will find it says "fits any standard 1/4-inch water line"...not quite so. If you are replacing an existing filter which has the standard 1/4" NPT fittings then this filter will NOT work. Unfortunately Amazon doesn't have pictures of the end of the filter which would greatly help in preventing ordering this filter incorrectly. So now I'm stuck with paying $6 to return it. I think it's time to go to HD or Lowes where I can see it before I buy it.

I, and most of my family and friends, like red, my husband white so the dual zone is great.It did take a full day to reach the proper temperature.Doesn't fit large bottles.When its working to maintain the temperature there can be a very noticeable sound, but otherwise it's very quiet.Only have it one month and I think its great.It would have fit perfectly where my old trash compactor was, but I redid my kitchen before I purchased this product, otherwise it would've looked awesome in that space.So far so good though.

Overall I'm happy with this purchase. It fits perfectly in the small space we have in our dining room. The temperature in the bottom portion is consistent but the top portion never stays at the temperature at which we have it set. Our house temperature is a constant 72 degrees but the top portion of the fridge is usually 10 degrees higher than the setting. I'm not sure why the portion with only 6 bottles has a harder time regulating the temperature than the portion that holds 12 bottles.
