My washer is 12 years old, and the original recently broke.I purchased and installed 2 of these after market couplers within 1 month.The first one broke during the first wash cycle with a very light load.The second lasted about 3 weeks, and snapped during a rinse cycle.This time, after reading the reviews here (didn't purchase the knockoffs here), I went to Sears and paid $20 for an OEM coupler. (needed it asap)Totally different plastics!!Both have the metal insert, but the EOM part is a harder plastic, and also a different color...tinged a greenish color.You can find the OEM online for cheaper than Sears, but total cost depends on shipping.Like others have said, don't waste your time and money on a $5 coupler.It's not worth the aggravation of tearing the washer apart multiple times to replace it.Spend the extra $$ and do the job once!!$20 is still a lot cheaper than what a service call costs.I watched the utube video's and did it myself, was easier than I imagined.I'm a 52 yr old female.

Our washer died but my husband is a genius! He figured out that it was the pump drive coupler on our Kenmore, so of course we checked Sears who wanted $15 and another online place wanted $20 you'd think that was a reasonable charge if it fixes your washer right? it was made out of cheap plastic it broke after just after two times it would be better if it was made out of metal

Who would have thought that a replacement part you search by PART NUMBER could be so wrong...

There is a metal ring inside that is too loose and because of this my washer still did not spin to drain.

I ended up calling a repair man and even he was stumpped at first thinking that THIS REPLACEMENT looked fine along with everything else.

Thank goodness he really knew what he was doing, because when he took it apart and took a second look he realized that it isn't the same as what he was expecting (and he says he's been repairing appliances for over 30yrs) He replaced it with one of his and like magic, everything was fine.He says that he has NEVER seen one made this way!!!

I WISH i read the reviews first!!!! but really i typed in a part number!!!! it should have been correct and made correctly.

I learned my lesson this time.I will NEVER just assume any part is the correct one just because the part looks like it and has the same part number as the one i'm looking for.I will ALWAYS read reviews if there are any.

BEWARE it is NOT MADE to FIT ALL it claims.

i'm not even bothering to return this piece of junk... 5 bucks for this part + extra for the repairman and ill take away a lesson.

I feel like i have been ripped off and instead of having a good repaired washer for this $5 part, I now have spent even more to do exactly the same thing but with part that was made correctly! GRRRR

Just got this stove I must say it has tons of features including the warming drawer (with three temp settings) and steam clean + the normal cleaning modes. For the price you can't beat this stove I just hope it holds up as well as our old stove of 15 years which was made by Caloric and is no longer in business. We did compare this model to a samsung which seemed nice but had very bad reviews. The stainless does show fingerprints but is easy to clean. Just a note it also includes the convection cooking modes.

I was hesitant to buy any smoothtop stove but I am glad that I did buy this one after 18 mos of research and talking with others.I love it.So many features on this one.Power boil, 3 ring burner, warmer, convection bake, convection roast and 3 baking racks.So much for the money.Shop during holiday sales (presidents day, black friday) and save hundreds!The top is easy to clean with the ceramabryte cleaner that comes with the stove and also sold on amazon too!The rangetop has a speckled design which diguises dust that lands on your black stovetop.I do have a small scratch on mine after 4 wks dont know how that happened.Cons:you cannot use cast iron or corningware and I have lots of corningware but I would buy again. Its beautiful, made well and matches my kitchen perfectly.The convection roast crisp up pizza, crepes, skin on chicken perfectly.Rangetop heats fast, oven is slow to preheat due to heating element being hidden under oven floor but that makes the oven easier to clean, just make your adjustments.Timer ring is low volume but I guess you should stay in vicinity while cooking anyway.Love Love this beautiful stove. There are also lower level GE models with less features that have same quality and beauty for less money.

This range has a lot of fine features and seems well built.Unfortunately, GE ships it with some sort of acrylic binder on its oven fiberglass insulation that has to burn off with the first few uses.The smell from this burning is nasty, and probably toxic.GE recommends that you self-clean the oven to get rid of the smell, and open the windows.So don't buy one in the winter.I'm left with the feeling that GE cares little for the health and well-being of its customers all they would have to do is plug in and run the unit at the factory (preferably outside) yet they don't do this.

I too had the problem with this GE range (but the Black model) and like you GE was as useless as they were for you.I had to run the Self-Clean procedure 4 times at 5 hrs each time in order for the smell to go away even when trying to cook something in the oven at 350 degrees.

Be aware that when doing the Self-Clean, the top of the oven (where the burners are), the metal of the electronic controls (where the knobs are and the keypad), and the front of the oven will get to over 180 degrees.The sides of the electronic control panel during the Self-Clean cycle will get to over 220 degrees.

Also when cooking something in the oven at 450 degrees the metal of the control panel with the knobs and electronics get to over 125 degrees and the side of the control panel gets to over 155 degrees.

I asked GE if this was expected or normal and they brushed me off and said that is how they designed it.

I do not know if all hidden-element, glass-top ranges are like this but GE would rather not have customers know this.

My 2 yr old oven glass shattered into a million pieces. I have been fighting with GE for almost two months now and even though they know it is their fault and that the glass was faulty, they wont do anything to help me besides give me $100 off of the bill. Of course if I accept the $100 off, it will still be over $300 to fix and I will have no warranty WHEN it happens again. If you are considering any GE product, dont buy it. Their appliances are terrible and they wont do anything for you if something happens.

For all of you who are concerned about the reviews that have mentioned how the shelves keep falling, listen up.The peeps who have complained about the shelves most likely did not install them correctly to begin with (especially the freezer shelves).When I was putting the shelves into my unit, it was easy to see how this could happen.You have to play around with some of the shelves a bit in order to seat them properly.There were a few times that I thought I had it correct, but there was too much wiggle room and it didnt seem right.So, I worked with it a little more and presto!They fit snuggly now.I tested each shelf by pressing down with my hand and adding a good amount of force in order to simulate what a heavily loaded shelf would have to be able to endure.No problems whatsoever.I now have 100% confidence that the shelves will hold.The unit is nice and large.When I transferred my food from my old frig(which was full), it only filled up this new frig about 60%............now that's what I'm talkin about :).I am rating this a 5 for now even though the shelves were a bit tricky to seat properly (it really only took a few mins though).I am impressed with this unit so far, but will update my review if my rating changes.

I was looking for a new Fridge Made here in the U.S.A. and i bought this one, a great fridge, great design, great quality, sturdy built.

Boy, do I like this fridge!You can pack stuff into it until the cows play the violin and it holds it, really.Not sure what all the shelf discussion is about mine was assembled by an 11-year-old if that gives you some idea on how easy this guy is to put together.And, since my deep freeze died, I haven't had any trouble whatsoever in getting all of those items in there either.USA made too and GE is opening 2 more factories in Kentucky to make more of their items here. YEAH!SO tired of the china junk!Anyway, don't be afraid of this guy the thing holds enough for an army, is an Energy Star appliance too.I searched for 3 months to get just the right appliances and I couldn't be more thrilled with this fridge if I tried. Rated very well too by Consumer Reports.

We bought GE's 29.1 cubic-foot refrigerator at Home Depot under the "Adora" name (DSHF9NGY).While we like its features overall, especially the convenience of water and ice in the door, I will echo many other reports that the FREEZER SHELVES DO NOT FIT.We have owned it less than two years, and all the freezer shelves are sitting cock-eyed, resting on the stuff on the shelf below it.I don't know if side has bowed out a little, or the shelves have shrunk somehow.It has become very frustrating.

When we take everything off the shelf, it sits in there with about a quarter inch of side to side play, and it seems like it might stay, but once weight is on it, that is enough to make it slip off the side bracket and fall.

I'm not sure how to fix it.I'm considering cutting the reinforcing rod that runs across the middle of the shelf so I can bend the ends out a little more.I would welcome any other ideas on how to fix this.

According to the specifications, this filter has one of the highest chlorine capacity, meaning that you don't need to change filter that often. It also have VOC filter capacity.I use it after the sediment filter the finest filters goes last.

I'm a little puzzled.This cartridge works so much better in my GE filter than the GE ones I wonder why this is not claimed in the product description.My filter is hooked to a pantry faucet, not one of those piddly little filtered water taps.But flow is as if there is no restriction from the filter.With a GE cartridge it just dribbles out at perhaps0.25 gallons per minute.The water taste is excellent,and our raw water has a strong chlorine and organic debris taste and odor, I even have filters on the showers.I could find no specs on the filter.I wonder why.

My frost free Kenmore refrigerator/freezer would frost over solid every two weeks or so. The food in the freezer would start to thaw and the fridge would start getting warm. After some lengthy research, I was able to narrow the trouble to 1 of 3 things, the defrost timer (cheapest repair), defrost control board, and heater element (least likely to break). I first replaced the defrost timer. 2 weeks later the freezer frosted solid again. I then ordered the defrost control board from Amazon. The part arrived 4 days later. I immediately replaced it and 6 hours later the freezer started to defrost. It's been over a week and now the freezer is working like it did when it was brand new.

This piece was a perfect fit for the one that was worn out on my refrigerator.The only complaint I have isn't really a complaint with this piece as it is a warning about the complexity of the installation job.It appears on this page and in the parts manual, like it would be a simple 'slide in' sort of install.In reality though, it requires quite a bit of dis-assembly of the front door of your fridge, and took me about 45 minutes in total.It wasn't particularly hard to do, but took a long time.I probably could have been a little faster, but was concerned about doing damage to something else while replacing this.

I purchased the unit about a month ago, and so far, so good.It is a quiet unit and looks good in my apartment foyer.My only complaint so far is the fact that only the larger, lower section has the capability to store white wine at the proper temperature.I am a big red wine drinker and prefer to use the larger section for reds.This leads me to still use the refrigerator for my white wines.

Hoping that the unit will last as I have heard horror stories regarding the quality of wine cellars.

I ordered two of these filters to replace the Frigidaire filter that was supposed to expire in December.

Last week the replace light finally went on and I installed this filter.

Immediately I noticed a bad taste, much like a chlorinated pool, and it constantly produces water that has a huge amount of bubbles.

When I went to find out about a refund, I was told that it was past the time limit. I lost just over $40.00 on this transaction.

First: The filters ARE NOT GENUINE FRIGIDAIRE REPLACEMENTS. THEY ARE COPIES THAT ARE CHEAPLY MADE, TASTE AWFUL AND NOT WORTH 20 CENTS.

Second: IN MY OPINION THE SELLER IS GUILTY OF FRAUDULENTLY REPRESENTING THESE AS FRIGIDAIRE REPLACEMENT FILTERS.

Third: BEWARE, THERE ARE A LOT OF DEALERS SELLING "REPLACEMENT FILTERS" THAT ARE SUB-STANDARD LIKE THESE.

Fourth: Spend the extra bucks and buy the original replacement and AVOID BUYING THEM ON AMAZON if you are buying through the "marketplace" and not directly from Amazon as you will not be able to get a refund.
