What can I say?It fits my new 25' Frigidaire chest freezer perfectly. The three factory baskets are blue, this one is white.Other than that it is identical.We keep two on the left and two on the right, as the light assembly on the lid will hit a basket left in the middle.We use the new white basket for introducing new food into the freezer, then we move it where it belongs once it freezes. This prevents warming food that is already in there by laying unfrozen food next to it.

This is not a replacement for the WSF-100, nor is it for use on refrigerators that use an external water filter.

I purchased these to replace DA29-00020B for a Samsung RFG297HDRS French door refrigerator.They are about 60% of the price of the Samsung equivalent.I've had the filter installed for a week and it works great.It installed easily, without leaks.

They are made in USA, unlike Samsung's which are imported.Also, they use compressed charcoal, which I believe is a better filtration method than Samsung's which is a particle filter only.Charcoal filters absorb organic impurities, so the water tastes cleaner.I can't comment on the 6 month life expectancy yet.The instructions note to run 3 gallons of water before using, or until the water runs clear, but in my case the water was clear from the start (I still ran a gallon through it).

I have a Sam Sung model RF4287HARS and the filter works although not perfectly.As another reviewer pointed out, the diameter of this filter is slightly smaller than the original filter.Therefore the filter floats within the mounting area.The mounting end (gasket and mount) are identical so it does lock and seal perfectly.I cannot detect any difference in the taste/quality of the filtered water so if you can sacrifice perfect fit for equal performance then this one's for you.

This item is solely the small icemaker portion that is attached to the top of your Samsung refrigerator (my model is RF26VABBP).What it does not contain is:

any part of the slide-in ice tray/dispenser;

the level arm on the side of the icemaker that I guess indicates if the tray is full

the long L shaped spoke guard that sits over the ice

the clip in holder that actually connects the icemaker to the top of the fridge

Luckily all those piece were salvageable from my old one, and within several hours of reconnecting I had a full tray of ice.

(In case anyone is interested, the failure of my old icemaker, exactly 1 month after warranty ran out, was the heating element stopped working, which is what slightly warms the ice so it detaches from the maker and can be dumped into the tray)

We've been plagued with poor ice maker results with our Samsung french-door unit with ice in the door. Ice gets clumped and stuck regularly. We'll see if this changes.

This part works perfectly with the Kenmore Coldspot 59582990 circa 1999 without the need for additional wiring.As a side note, be sure to adjust your thermostat sensor so that it is nearer the fan mount base rather than the condenser as the tubing it is mounted on can be ( bumped out of position ) during a repair.The new fan and adjustments have allowed a reduced temperature setting while maintaining previous temperatures.

My 13-year old Kenmore 106.xx side-by-side was having problems with the ice maker overflowing into the ice bin (a common problem according to the web). After fiddling with the adjustment screw and cleaning all the contacts with no improvement, it was time to order a new unit. I confirmed on the Whirlpool site that the #ECKMF94 was the replacement for my model. The unit arrived and was exactly the same as the original, with the exception of the size and shape of the on/off arm. Installation took me less than five minutes. There was one 1/4" hexhead screw to remove that locks the unit in place. Two other screws are loosened so that the unit can be lifted up and out. Then you simply unplug the wiring harness. I swapped out the on/off arm with the original (simply pulled out at each end), reinstalled the old, deeper arm, and within a few hours, I had ice again.

Exact "replacement" units for this model from the retailer were well over a hundred dollars, yet this model came with an extra ice bin and a new supply valve that I'm saving for future use. This is a really simple replacement job that I think anyone can do. If this one lasts as long as the first unit, it should outlast the refrigerator.

I got this at Lowes for $52. it replaced my 5 year old ice maker that came with my Whirlpool side by side. It took less than 10 minutes to swap it out. It works better than the original did. This is a kit so you can install it in a freezer that never had an ice maker. I suspect that would be a whole lot of extra work. It also doesn't tell you that there is a thermostat inside this unit so it won't make ice until it is below 32 degrees. So no ice for the first 24 hours. Hope it lasts longer than the original did!

This unit was an exact replacement for the ice maker that developed problems in our motorhome.

Norcold refrigerator Model # 928 i M(i M for ice maker)

I searched the forums for advice and ended up removing the ice maker and taking it to Lowe's.By opening boxes and comparing, this one looked identical and had the exact mounting configuration.I installed it and waited over night and had ice. It seems to be working properly.The old one had begun making major icicles due to an internal leak in the control module.

I expect that this ice maker was commonly used in RVs, especially in the Norcold brand refrigerators. It came with a water valve.I did not replace the existing valve, so I now have a spare.

I paid 99.88 plus tax which is a little more than Amazon's price, but I could not risk ordering one without knowing for sure it would mount properly.

One note, when replacing your unit you need only a small flat head and 1/4" socket.Make your life easier, you do not need to remove the top two 1/4" screws (maybe it says this in the book), just loosen them and slide the unit up and off.You do need to remove the bottom 1/4" screw and pop the cover off with the flat head so that you can disengage the wire plug.

Purchased one of these 7 years ago, wasted $800 on two repairs in the last 15 months, broken again today.Recurrent problem, fan stops pumping air into fridge although coils are still cooling.Simple to replace the fan? No.Quite expensive since the electronics tie into this malfunction.Tried a surge suppressor to help, obviously the result wasn't good.I will not buy another GE refrigerator.

Wholly apart from asking its NBC broadcast division to cover up every legitimate question ever asked of him so as to elect the current White House Occupant (and continuing to pander to the occupant's every desire, like a dutiful lapdog) --GE's current business model apparently requires peddling appliances that don't work well, to sell unwary consumers ever more costly repair contracts.

We bought one of these GE models some six years ago, and like the previous reviewer were quite disappointed.

First off, the mother board went kaflooey within the first 13 months --naturally, right after the fridge warranty ran out.

That added a $380 repair bill to the $1,200 cost of the fridge.

We then bought a three-year GE repair contract --just in case. That ran another $400 for the next few years, but it was a good thing we had it.

For lo and behold, the mother board went bust again --this time along with the computer on the refrigerator rear.

Additionally, we required a new door magnet.

Finally, when the repairman came out because the door was not closing and bent, he said the door can't withstand the weight of soft drink bottles. Meaning, the fridge door ---where many many people store their bottled beverages ---is built with material too weak to hold them.

Um, excuse me. A product with shelves ought to be able to hold stuff on them. If there is a weight limit, post a warning sign on the shelves of the new item. GE posted no such warning.

So we have a bent door and can do nothing about it.

Oh yes, I almost forgot. The door paint chips very easily, too, thanks to the slightly ridged surface "look."

Last year, GE called to again renew our repair contract, and now wanted another $500 or so to cover three more years. This time, we told them to go fly a kite.

If and when this fridge again breaks down, we'll be in the market for a new, reliable fridge. Definitely not a General Electric model.

We were reluctant to consider GE for our washer when the old one broke; Only advice from a happy parent convinced us. The washer works, at least.

As for fridges, and pretty much every other GE appliance, we will definitely not include them on our shopping list next time around. As to GE broadcast news, you can bet, we do not watch that trash, either.
