Got my little refrigerator yesterday works well and keeps things cool as anticipated.When it runs, it runs for just about a minute and then shuts off... that's with it empty... haven't found out yet what'll happen when I fill it up with food.So far it chills rapidly and doesn't run for extended periods of time.Perfect size for office/den/dorm room/bedroom.Runs very quietly.I like it!!

This mini fridge was a gift for my boyfriend. He wanted a fridge with enough space for at least a gallon or two of milk, while I wanted enough freezer space to fit a pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. We got both! Great space, easy-adjusting shelves, the whole shebang! Highly recommended.

Fridge seems nice. It looks nice and is well laid out allowing full use of it unlike most fridges which cause you to waste a lot of space.

The packaging is HORRIBLE (see customer images where I have attached them). The is almost like a sleeve to the fridge with just small Styrofoam around just the corners. My box had no signs of damage, yet it has 6 dents on the back edges and the hinges were bent. I had to take the hinge brackets off and hammer them back into shape for the door to even stay on. And now my door is slightly off center, but at least it opens and closes properly and doesn't fall off any more. REALLY PATHETIC PACKING. Its shipped from manufacturer though, not Amazon so its not eligible for packaging feedback.

I dont live in the US and it was forwarded in a shipping container and it would cost me more to return it than it cost me to buy it. So I'm keeping it, but I guess those of you in the US can return it if it comes damaged.

Fridge is a little noisy when you first plug it in, but it quiets down after a few minutes and there after is not noticeable.

Would be 5 stars if not for packing.

I've been in the water industry for a long time now and I sell many different types of water lfiltration equipment.I'm actually certified by the Water Quality Association as well. I've tested this carbon filter with a chlorine test strip to see the longevity of the filter for my refrigerator.

Well, my refrigerator light indicated it needed to be replaced after about 6 months but even then I tested the water and it showed up to be fine. Another 3-4 months go by and I'm still testing the water for chlorine and it still passes.I've even checked for any kind of dumping which there was nothing.

Overall it's a good carbon block filter and lasts much longer than the stated refrigerator light indicator but then again we have a house hold of 2.

This appeared to have been a returned item. Foil covering was off filter end and the standard instruction leaflet was missing from the box. Not very sanitary to install a water filter that apparently was handled by a stranger.

I bought this because mine was making a whining noise. After installing it, it was quieter but still at low speeds whines a little. Gave it a 3 star because it did not totally fix the issue. If you do this your self you will need a pin pusher tool to remove one of the pins from the original plug from the defrost thermister. I got in the repair not prepared and ended up having to solder wires together.

Milk spoiling?Fridge runs and runs and is cold in the back of the freezer, but no air blows when you open it up?You can fix your fridge!Rather than throw out that >$1000 fridge, buy a simple to install replacement part!

This part was an exact drop-in replacement for the old motor in my GE refrigerator (same Panasonic part number).

I did have to remove a molded on silicone rubber mounting piece on the old motor's wiring harness (this is seen in some photos of this motor out on the web) so I could mount it on the new motor.If you want to do this (optional, OCD engineer step), slice the rubber carefully lengthwise along the direction that the wiring runs so that you can free it from the over-molded part.Once you have the old wiring harness free, you can slip the rubber mount onto the new motor's wiring harness in such a way that the new wires run where the old wires were placed.

While you have the fridge opened up for service, you should go ahead a check the controller board for damage (specifically the power resistors).Check the web and youtube for how-to videos that show how to measure voltage on the control board to see if it is damaged as well (Amazon sells these boards as well).I didn't need them, but I bet there are videos that walk you through the replacement process for the motor itself.

Now my fridge works great again!Spoiled milk?A thing of the past!

I gave this motor only 4 stars because although Amazon went above and beyond getting me the new motor by Monday afternoon when ordered Saturday afternoon, the old motor should not have failed in the way that it did (dead coil in the brushless DC motor drive as well as a horrid grinding noise from the rotor for months before the motor finally died).

Update: Extra, unexpected benefit -> our icemaker started working well again.It worked before, but was real slow to fill.So if your icemaker works but is slow, the fan may be the culprit there too!

I bought this fan motor for my Frigidaire Side-by-Side. The repairman was acting like a complete twerp so instead of paying him upwards of $200 for parts and labor I instead got this for $40. Opened the backplate in the freezer section, took out the old fan motor, plugged in this one (every plug is color coded) et voila!

It works, I am happy and the repairman is unhappy so I am even more happy. Plus my wife thinks I am this electronics genius. Ha!

This was the best price we could find and we checked everywhere. I don't like that they make the motor and pump combined and that you have to buy both but the part works wonderful and we received the item in a short time. I will never however, buy this Calypso washer again what a nightmare.

The bad news was the washer was not working. Worse -the blogs on the 'net said get rid of the machine! This pump arrived 4-5 days after ordered and was a perfect fit. Easy to install and superior in design to the OEM pump. Our Whirlpool is good to go for another 10 years.

I was not happy about replacing the pump and motor together, but the combo was easy to install and the washer worked immediately after it was installed. It took about 10 minutes to replace and the instruction were easy to find on the internet.

I wanted this to be a good filter -with the "greener" manufacturing process and Made in Canada cred -but it leaked in my 28.5 cu ft Samsung refrigerator.Apparently not an adequate replacement for the OEM DA29-00003 filter.

Update: I seem to have been able to get it to seal properly after taking it out and putting it in "backwards" and then taking it out again and putting it in "forwards."Totally random thing to do, but it hasn't leaked in 6 hours.We'll see.

I purchased this water filter a couple of weeks ago and just today (Mar 30th) attempted to install it.It was a futile attempt.Have used this brand before and they always worked fine.The instruction sheet now advises to soak the filter for a minimum of 15 minutes before installing.When 15 minutes proved insufficient, I soaked the filter another 20 minutes.Still to no avail.If I exerted any further pressure, I would run the risk of breaking the holding unit.The instruction sheet indicated that this filter is oversized to prevent possible leaking.I believe this oversizing may have gone a bit to far.The earlier units use to provide a small tube of gel lubricant to assist in sealing the filter.The manufacturer may want to reconsider and abandon the oversizing and return to the correct dimensions accompanied with a tube of gel.

I bought and installed this.It worked well enough as a filter, but the plastic housing recently broke/cracked, while I was on vacation.It flooded my condo and ruined the refrigerator (It no longer cools)Buyer beware.

Ordered this thinking that this filter would be a good alternative to the oem filter. When I received this filter, I soaked as advised and proceded to install it. Tried to get filter to lock in place and it would not turn and lock into place. Even with me putting pressure on it I could not get it to lock and seal. Needless to say this is not a good filter for the Samsung French Door Refrigerator.

Purchased one of these 7 years ago, wasted $800 on two repairs in the last 15 months, broken again today.Recurrent problem, fan stops pumping air into fridge although coils are still cooling.Simple to replace the fan? No.Quite expensive since the electronics tie into this malfunction.Tried a surge suppressor to help, obviously the result wasn't good.I will not buy another GE refrigerator.

Update:Well, Never Mind....Internet is quite useful-looked up parts charts and problems for this model number, as well as repair discussions-after some time on line I came up with a hypothetical diagnosis of the problem, opened the casing of the freezer box, exposed, thawed and dried the evaporator coils-wife's hair dryer invaluable time saverreassembled and turned on-my goodness, saved lots of money in appliance repair and/or cost of a new refrigerator.Should have done this the first time.Apologies to GE-was the mother board really bad the last time? -nothing like doing a job yourself, if and when it works at any rate.

Wholly apart from asking its NBC broadcast division to cover up every legitimate question ever asked of him so as to elect the current White House Occupant (and continuing to pander to the occupant's every desire, like a dutiful lapdog) --GE's current business model apparently requires peddling appliances that don't work well, to sell unwary consumers ever more costly repair contracts.

We bought one of these GE models some six years ago, and like the previous reviewer were quite disappointed.

First off, the mother board went kaflooey within the first 13 months --naturally, right after the fridge warranty ran out.

That added a $380 repair bill to the $1,200 cost of the fridge.

We then bought a three-year GE repair contract --just in case. That ran another $400 for the next few years, but it was a good thing we had it.

For lo and behold, the mother board went bust again --this time along with the computer on the refrigerator rear.

Additionally, we required a new door magnet.

Finally, when the repairman came out because the door was not closing and bent, he said the door can't withstand the weight of soft drink bottles. Meaning, the fridge door ---where many many people store their bottled beverages ---is built with material too weak to hold them.

Um, excuse me. A product with shelves ought to be able to hold stuff on them. If there is a weight limit, post a warning sign on the shelves of the new item. GE posted no such warning.

So we have a bent door and can do nothing about it.

Oh yes, I almost forgot. The door paint chips very easily, too, thanks to the slightly ridged surface "look."

Last year, GE called to again renew our repair contract, and now wanted another $500 or so to cover three more years. This time, we told them to go fly a kite.

If and when this fridge again breaks down, we'll be in the market for a new, reliable fridge. Definitely not a General Electric model.

We were reluctant to consider GE for our washer when the old one broke; Only advice from a happy parent convinced us. The washer works, at least.

As for fridges, and pretty much every other GE appliance, we will definitely not include them on our shopping list next time around. As to GE broadcast news, you can bet, we do not watch that trash, either.
