We purchased this refrigerator from a Menard's 70 miles north of our hometown. At the time we weren't really looking for a refrigerator, but the one we had was very small and not that functional.

We saw this refrigerator on a "special buy" and bought it on the spot! We purchased it for $899!!!

This is a sleek beautiful machine. There is a compartment on the door with its own sliding doors for milk, juice, etc, that has direct airflow from the freezer! It makes those drinks so cold and yummy! There are adjustable glass shelves that make it very easy to keep clean, one small drawer, one large drawer, and one drawer with an angled bottom that sits over the compressor.

On the freezer side, there are several wire shelves but, there are also deep pull out baskets! The baskets are so much easier to use than stacking items up in a freezer full ofshelves and having to unpack an entire shelf to get to the back item!

I also want to point out that there are two lights on the fridge side and a the freezer side it lit as well. I have never had a fridge, either top feezer, or side by side that has a lit freezer!!!

There are digital controls, a filter order and filter replace indicator and a door open alarm.

I love this fridge, it's huge, but it looks so nice in our small kitchen!

I have had this dispenser for six months, and it does dispense beer as advertised.The problem is, the CO2 system desperately needs improvement.I have been through two regulators and three sets of regulator adaptor/cartridge holder pairs, because they are made of cheap plastic and crack over time.I have lost two kegs of beer and have wasted six CO2 cartidges needlessly.I did speak with their technical staff and told them I would have made these parts using brass, bronze, or stainless steel, and if they wanted to stay with plastic, at least use a thermopolymer that could take the stress off a pressurized environment.They seemed to listen; time will tell.So, bottom line: It does work, it work well when it's working....but be prepared to call their customer service department along the way for replacement parts.

I got this fridge door cam kit to repair a nasty click that had developed on my fridge door upon opening and closing it.

I simply replaced all the original plastic parts with these ones, tightened all the bolts well, and greased all the plastic parts that make contact with each other.

The fridge door is as good as new!

I was worried these were the wrong parts because they are not exactly the same as what I replaced. However, the door closes better than it did when new. So they may have changed the design of the cam. I'm sure this is designed to fit multiple models so probably another reason for the difference. Whatever the case, it works!

If you purchased the individual parts, the cost was really high; so we think that the product is a great value.

It doesn't cover the fridge like in the picture. The cover doesn'tfully reach around the fridge most of the time on standard refrigerators and leaves the back exposed. The Velcro straps are a joke, they barely reach each other and always break apart because they are holding on together by a small length. I had to take this to a tailor and alter it so it would actually be useful.

You gotta hand it to Maytag they made replacing the water filter very simple.Took all of about 30 seconds from start to finish.And about 20 seconds of that was wiping up the water that dripped out of the old filter when I pulled it out, so the next change should go even better;-)

We have a family of six and we drink water almost exclusively, so I went ahead and changed the filter at six months just like the owner's guide recommended.However, I could see no evidence that the filter was near its end of life and am convinced that I can get more use out of the filters than the suggested six months.I will try to keep an eye on things, but without a little window I really have no way other than flow to know what is going on.

And that is why I gave this a rating of four stars.The filter seems to work wonderfully and replacement is a breeze, but I would be happier if I could look at the state of the filter while it is in use.

My Ice Cube make was having major problems. Ice Cubes were hollow and Ice was sticking on the White Prongs that pop the cubes out. I called Amana and they were no help so I figured that the Cube maker was not getting enough water flow.

I replaced with this filter and now the Ice Cube maker is like new and the water shoots out of the dispenser like crazy. What used to take 25-30 seconds to fill a glass of water now takes 3-5 seconds.

So if you are having Ice Cube issues or poor water flow buy this.

It's a little expensive for a water filter but it's worth it.

Oh and the water tastes good too.

This is a very expensive item for what you get, and it certainly doesn't last as long as they say it does.The taste of your water coming through this filter is great for the first month or so, but then the quality drops noticeably quick.

I think the price of this item is unfairly high, but once you buy a refrigerator that needs them, you're stuck.You either buy the filter or put up with nasty tasting water from your refrigerator spigot.

A good rule of thumb, if you're buying one filter, better buy two, because you'll need a new one quicker than you think.

Didn't think it would make a difference but I bought one anyway and the water coming out of the fridge is much faster than before. Well worth the money and the lesson is the fridge needed it to be changed more than I realized.

I guess the filter may be filtering the water of harmful contaminants, but looking at the glass of water there is stuff floating in it.The product is made from natural coconuts fibers, so it might be natural, but I don't like having visible floating material in my water.

GE Profile : PTS25LHSBB 24.6 cu.ft. Top Mount Refrigerator - Black

To be clear, the exact model we have is the Profile Arctica PTS25LHP. This exact model is no longer being manufactured by GE. BUT the problem it has is structural and inherent in the size of the door on the 36" wide, 24.6 cf, top freezer GE refrigerator. Simply put: the door is too heavy. We have had our refrigerator for 9 years. It's loud and the motherboard failed once already, as other reviewers on other sites have said but this was after 8 years, which was a pretty good lifespan. Failure of the motherboard manifested in the freezer constantly defrosting itself. We couldn't figure out what was wrong with it (and my spouse is a hardware engineer haha). Who knew a refrigerator had a motherboard? Thankfully, it was an easy fix by the GE repairman. Now, 9 years into ownership, the door started clipping the base grille (plastic piece at bottom) so that it wouldn't close all the way without an extra push. This could be remedied by removing the grille. But then the door sagged so much that it collapsed on its own bottom hinge. Opening the door caused grating of the door against the hinge mechanism. We had to take everything out of the door and manually lift it while closing to make sure it sealed properly. The GE repairman just came today. Good news: We don't need to replace the door. He shimmed the hinge so that the door doesn't contact it when swinging. Bad news: This is not a permanent fix. Loaded up, the door still sags enough to clip the base grille. The repairman said these GE top freezer refigerators have had the sagging door problem "since forever". And the repairman looks to be about 70 years old, so when he says "since forever", I'm thinking he knows what he's talking about. His recommendation: a bottom freezer model or a side-by-side, which he said were structurally more sound. Now, I'm thinking of the old fridge in my mom's garage that's 20+ years old. We all know a fridge like that they lasted forever without a single service call, and their doors did not sag! Okay, so they were smaller and leaked like a sieve. But if we have traded energy efficiency and bells and whistles for a significantly shorter lifespan in appliances, that's not such a good deal either for the pocketbook or the landfills.

This is the second GE dryer I have purchased. The first one is good too. But this one is amazing. It works quiet and quick. Realy love it.
