This refrigerator has it all: plenty of storage, excellent lighting, quick chilling, and nice design. Yes, the ice clunks loudly when "ejected" to the dispenser, but not a big deal for us as we don't use much ice and only turn on the maker when we need more ice. We have not had ice come flying out or the water spray. The fridge runs quietly and I don't find it difficult to clean the exterior. There are only 2 adults in the household and we tend not to leave many fingerprints on the doors.Overall: I recommend this refrigerator.

Removed the old membrane,(one piece in housing) and replaced it with this one. Easy connections for the tubing and a perfect fit on the system holder. Followed the instructions for pruging it by running first few gallons down the drain, water tastes good again. I will purchase this one again in 3 years.

The only reason I am not giving 5/5 is due to missing instructions for turning off "Change Filter" light; I found these instructions on some blog. For MayTag refrigerator, the light can be turned off by holding "Light"+"Lock" pads on the door until the "Change Filter" light blinks (approx 4-5 seconds).

My original filter was a UKF7002 and locked with a click when in place. This filer seems to work fine.I think I noticed the water had a bit of different taste, but it could very well have been my imagination.
This filter is a bit smaller than the original Maytag filter and smaller than the Brita filter I ordered through amazon.com last year.These were both 1 year filters and I am a bit disappointed that this is rater for 6 months.
I paid about $25.00 for the Brita a year ago and now see it is $38.00.Is there a water filter shortage I am not aware of?
Anyway, look at the Brita MYRF-100 Refrigerator Replacement Filter filter for a few dollars more and rated to last a year.

The nice things about this fridge that we enjoy:
1) The custom cool drawer
2) The sealed beverage pocket in the door thatkeeps drinks extra cool
3) It's nice looking
4) Digital temperature controls and monitoring (in C/F)
The things we don't like:
1) It died 7 months after we bought it. We lost a fridge full of whole-foods items. It took me two days to get hold of a person who could schedule repair, and it will take 2 weeks to fix it. Requires some special parts. The repair person told us to expect to perform the same repair every 2 years because it's prone to failing in this humid climate (austin, tx). The part is some sort of heater that prevents the cooling distribution from icing up. So in summary, I bought a fridge that will break every 2 years as designed.
2) It's noisy, and I think this may have something to do with the icing up of the fans in the cool air distribution system. The fans sound like they are rubbing on something. It did this from the day we bought it (off and on).
3) The controls are aimlessly designed. In our old fridge, to turn on the custom cool drawer, you pressed a button once. In this new interface it takes 7 button presses. Home->options->refrigerator Options->Custom Cool->Express Chill->More time->OK. The person who designed this used engineering logic to organize the controls, they did not use any user interface design principles, and probably didn't test it with users.
Overall this would be a wonderful fridge if it didn't break down on us and ruin several hundreds of dollars of fresh food. If GE knows there are issues with the fridge, then it should be quick and easy to schedule an emergency appointment and that repairshop should have the parts in the truck. That would make it tolerable. Our current solution to this problem is to buy another fridge and place it in the garage as a backup fridge for when this happens again (and the GE repair man asserted that it would).
In Summary: Look elsewhere in you are in a humid climate.

Also, these are the correct filters for the Bosch refrigerator despite the fact that the label says for commercial use only. The original filter that came from the factory said the same thing. This is the one Bosch intended to be used.

Just another part required to keep an 8 year old GE refrigerator working properly.The previous door glide wore out and cracked (as so many other parts have done on this GE refrigerator model GSS22KGMDWW).I've spent more on repairs than the cost of refrigerator at this point so I thought, just one more replacement part until I can replace this piece of junk.The drawer glide itself is fine and should hold up under normal use for awhile; I'm just not sure if the refregerator will last much longer.

Bought this last March when I bought a second hand fridge. The freezer of the fridge had an odd odor to it. The previous owner must have stored some home cooking gone bad or something. I went with the positive reviews, ordered the fridge,and hoped that the seller had read the negative reviews that had criticized the packaging of the fridge.Delighted to see that it was extremely well packaged with heavy crating protection.Fridge is perfect in every way, my last fridge died because of the freezer leaking, so I love the extra space.Great for white wine/beer/and it fits beautifully into the basement alcove.I picked black and honestly really glad I did, because you can't even see it in the alcove.It runs quietly (I even opened the fridge several times because it was so quiet I wanted to make sure it was running!) so both thumbs up on this fridge.
Please see the photos I uploaded for details on a pretty straightforward kegerator conversion. My conversion is geared to homebrewing. 5 gallon batches to two 5 gallon corny kegs. This is a great mini fridge. I was attracted to it for not having a freezer compartment of any sort.I agree with another reviewer, a freezer compartment on this size refrigerator is a nuisance, and only in the way. We use this for beverages and cold snacks in our family/entertainment kitchenette.I have some minor damage on mine upon receipt .The lower door bracket was bent.I fixed that myself.There is a ding in the right side of the unit, that resembles a BB shot mark, but again, it will be hidden.And the plastic cover over the top hinge bracket is dinged, but not worth sending the unit back to have fixed.I believe the packaging could be better.It seems to have at least two (2) of the three (3) dings having been caused in transit.The BB mark seems to have been there before packaging.I could hear my lower shelf flopping around before I opened the carton.There was no apparent damage from this.. I feel the packaging could be better.
I allowed the fridge to sit upright for over two (2) hour before I turned on the control.It buzzed right up, and reached temperature quite quickly.The unit is very quiet, especially tucked into my kitchen cabinetry as it is.
The inner storage options are nice, if not a bit unique.I haven't put much in it yet, but soon I will.It looks like it will hold a considerable amount of beverages and cold snacks, and still leave some room for slipping in a small cold dish a guest might bring to a get-together.
I only wish it was not made in China, but in the U.S.I think all these size fridges are made overseas.

I tried two of the three fitlers I received but they did not fit. I then tried again my old (not original) one and it went perfectly. I tried for a third time this new one but again it was never compatible as claimed in the description by the seller/manifacturer.
