My first insert had to be returned because it arrived broken at the edge.I think this was because a second item was rattling around in the same box.Make sure anything else you order at the same time as this part is soft and fuzzy!

I was devastated when I cracked the front of one of the gallon door bins inside my almost new GE refrigerator. Fortunately, I did not need to replace the entire bin, just the clear plastic piece that snaps into the front of the bin.Amazon's price was less than half of what it would have been to purchase the part directly from GE, and this is a genuine GE part.It only took a few seconds to replace the broken piece, and now my refrigerator is new again.I'm so glad I was able to purchase this part from Amazon.

GE Profile : PTS25LHSBB 24.6 cu.ft. Top Mount Refrigerator - Black

To be clear, the exact model we have is the Profile Arctica PTS25LHP. This exact model is no longer being manufactured by GE. BUT the problem it has is structural and inherent in the size of the door on the 36" wide, 24.6 cf, top freezer GE refrigerator. Simply put: the door is too heavy. We have had our refrigerator for 9 years. It's loud and the motherboard failed once already, as other reviewers on other sites have said but this was after 8 years, which was a pretty good lifespan. Failure of the motherboard manifested in the freezer constantly defrosting itself. We couldn't figure out what was wrong with it (and my spouse is a hardware engineer haha). Who knew a refrigerator had a motherboard? Thankfully, it was an easy fix by the GE repairman. Now, 9 years into ownership, the door started clipping the base grille (plastic piece at bottom) so that it wouldn't close all the way without an extra push. This could be remedied by removing the grille. But then the door sagged so much that it collapsed on its own bottom hinge. Opening the door caused grating of the door against the hinge mechanism. We had to take everything out of the door and manually lift it while closing to make sure it sealed properly. The GE repairman just came today. Good news: We don't need to replace the door. He shimmed the hinge so that the door doesn't contact it when swinging. Bad news: This is not a permanent fix. Loaded up, the door still sags enough to clip the base grille. The repairman said these GE top freezer refigerators have had the sagging door problem "since forever". And the repairman looks to be about 70 years old, so when he says "since forever", I'm thinking he knows what he's talking about. His recommendation: a bottom freezer model or a side-by-side, which he said were structurally more sound. Now, I'm thinking of the old fridge in my mom's garage that's 20+ years old. We all know a fridge like that they lasted forever without a single service call, and their doors did not sag! Okay, so they were smaller and leaked like a sieve. But if we have traded energy efficiency and bells and whistles for a significantly shorter lifespan in appliances, that's not such a good deal either for the pocketbook or the landfills.

This is the second GE dryer I have purchased. The first one is good too. But this one is amazing. It works quiet and quick. Realy love it.

I received this refrigerator in a timely manner. When assembling, I followed instructions closely, but the door was not staying closed. After troubleshooting (according to the manual), we found that there was an improper part on the unit which caused it to stand up lopsided. I rectified the situation by slipping a folded up paper plate underneath which works fine for now. It works well/cools well as a fridge, but when I called customer service to have the improper part replaced, they asked me to send an email. I have sent 3 total now, to no avail. This was 2 months ago.For this reason, I cannot recommend this product.

We like the refrigerator very much.We bought this particular refrigerator because it was the only one with a Gallon Door Bin.However, the Gallon Door Bin is NONFUNCTIONAL as it does NOT stay attached to the door when you open the door.The result is that the Gallon Door Bin falls to the floor along with the gallon of milk, etc.Haier could have done much better with a wire assembly like the Dispense-A-Can compartment in the door above the Gallon Door Bin.Other small refrigerators on the market have a wire assembly to hold a gallon of milk, and we would have bought one of them had we known of this problem.UPS delivered the refrigerator upside down but in good shape.Removing the top hinge cover without doing damage in order to reverse the door hinge was a little difficult but possible without instructions, and the top of the refrigerator below where the top hinge had been was a little dented and chipped.NONE of the problems in the reviews I read prior to ordering pertain to our little refrigerator.It arrived undamaged in a very timely fashion, it cools, it is not noisy, it looks nice in our laundry room, and it works perfectly for its intended use as a refrigerator to be used by a 37 year old son who has returned home due the difficult economy.We took care to let the refrigerator sit upright for 24 hours as per the instructions before plugging it in.This would have been a "5 Star" rating but for the problem with the Gallon Door Bin which we are unable to use.
