The product works well so far, is quiet, and I like having two zones. However, I didn't realize that it would be predetermined where red and white will be with temperature ranges pre-set for each.I like white more than red and this refrigerator is geared to more red than white.
It arrived dented on the left and right sides. This was highly disappointing.
I got this wine cooler as a Christmas gift for my wife in 2011 and it started crapping out shortly after the 90 day warranty expired. I've waited so long to write a review because I wanted to contact Koolatron's support before I made a decision on the product/support.
First, the lower/larger compartment quit working after about three and a half months. I had to move all of our reds into the original cooler that was not being used.
Next, the upper/smaller compartment quit working about a month and a half later. With both compartments, no matter where I set the temp, it wouldn't change.
Finally, about their customer service. It took so long for me to contact them because they're only available 8AM-4PM Eastern. I work 8-5. Being a tech myself, I wanted to be in front of the cooler in case there was something they wanted me to visually inspect. After being on hold for about fifteen minutes, I got to speak to a live rep. I explained why I was calling and she simply said "Well, It could be the chip or the board. We sell the chip for around $78 and the boards are (I don't remember the cost but it was too high). You're better off finding them locally. You'll probably be able to get a price on them if you can find someone who services 12V appliances, like, an RV dealer." That's ridiculous.
Now, all I have for the couple hundred dollars I've spent is a fancy glass, chrome and black stand for my original wine cooler. Which by the way is an 18 bottle Emerson that's still running strong.
I work TOO hard for my money to EVER throw it away on another Koolatron product!!!
I hope this review is helpful in your making a decision on, at least, which products to avoid.
We really like the Koolatron.Since we drink more red than white the larger red section works well for us.We recently had the top section stop cooling and Koolatron sent us a replacement part for free.Great customer service!
It is beautiful, but the temperature is hard to control... it never keeps the setting you choose; it always stays a couple of degrees higher or lower from what you set it to be, but it worked. Now, only 8 months after I purchased it, it stopped working. When I looked at it, the temp was 70 degrees and not cooling any more. :( Very disappointed!
It is a beautiful unit as well as the duel function for both red and white wine and easy to set up..
Does the job-could be better with a rubber gasket at the top.Inexpensive.A good choice for those with water sources with a lot of sediment and that require frequent changing.
We were spending too much on a fridge filter and this price attracted our attention! The filter itself seems to be the same as the Fridgidaire brand and now we can change it more often... So nice to have fresh clean taste again!
Not sure how to rate this. They fit in my fridge and filter my water. So I guess it is fine.
Space-saving flat-back design - this space-saving feature allows the hnse025 to fit flush to any wall surface. this clever design allows for a clean appearance and sleek design.
Dispense-a-can system - the hnse025 features an incredibly efficient storage method for standard sized soda cans. these cans are stored horizontally and dispensed at the base of the door, which cleverly utilizes every ounce of space.
Half-width freezer with ice cube tray - the haier hnse025 features a half-width freezer in the upper portion of the refrigerator. this bonus feature also includes an ice cube tray.
Adjustable Leveling Legs - Concerned about placing this compact refrigerator on an uneven floor surface? The HNSE025 is outfitted with adjustable leveling legs, enabling you to make any adjustments for uneven surfaces.
Got to fit under my cubicle desk at a new office. Great to keep sodas, yogurt, and other lunch stuff cold and easily available.
Bought this fridge for my office cube. I am very pleased SO FAR with how it fits and how quite it is. Seems to cool quickly. The item came VERY fast and didn't have a scratch on it. I recommend this fridge to anyone looking for a basic little fridge.
Good capacity and cooling power. Im glad theres a small ice tray. My only complaint is that while it is generally quiet, it makes a little ,ore noise than I'd like. I keep it inmy office close by me so it's especially bothersome. Combined with all the other humming noises in my office (the vents, the computer, my monitors), it's another minor annoyance.
I received the refrigerator right when it was supposed to come.I opened up the box, set it up, and waited 24 hours per the instruction manual (as it may have sat on its side while shipped).Once I plugged it in, it was cold in a couple of hours. The freezer works perfectly, keeping my frozen burritos frozen, and my drinks are always cold and my salads stay fresh, as does my cheese. This was an excellent investment for my workplace!
front vented for built-in or freestanding applications
CFC -Free
I need to preface my review with the fact I've only had this cooler for 3 days so I can't speak to it's longevity. That being said, it is clearly well-made. It is quiet and and easy to operate. Each shelf holds five bottles two facing one way and three facing the other. Those wine bottles that are of a larger style will fit in every shelf. Ventilation is out the bottom front. I noted the sides were warm to the touch when the unit was initially cooling but not after all the glass and liquid temperatures had lowered and stabilized. Mine is sitting out in the open but it would look classy in a built-in installation. I'm writing this review as a service as I know how hard it is to locate a good wine cooler. In our family, we've gone through three total pieces of junk. One of them actually defaulted to a freezing temperature after a power loss. (BTW This one keeps your settings). Excuse the amateurish video.
We saw the Amana French-door bottom-freezer fridge about a year ago and fell in love with it.As it turns out, we have had a fairly mixed experience with it.
I'll say that there are quite a few things that we like about it.Overall, we like the layout and flexibility of this fridge a lot.All of the shelves are adjustable to allow for customizing the space for what we need. The layout makes the fridge feel bigger than the other 25 CF fridges we've used or looked at.The quality of the ice maker and water filtration is nice.I do find the bottom-freezer a nice feature for our family. The best feature of the French-doors for us is that they don't swing open as wide as conventional doors, which is good for energy usage and for not blocking passage through our tight kitchen. They're also convenient when you have to grab something quick out of the door.
That said, after using it a while, there are a few things that we don't like about this fridge:
1)After a few months of use, it started getting kind of loud.As it turns out, this was the sound of the cooling fan dying. When it finally died, we had no cold air in the fridge compartment. It was still under warranty, but I wasn't happy about replacing the fan after only about 7 months.(It's still occasionally louder than I'd prefer, but most of the time it is OK.)
2)The water filter dispenser is on the inside of the fridge compartment rather than on the outside of the unit.Combined with the fact that its flow is a little on the slow side, it seems to me that a lot of energy is wasted each time I have to leave the door open for 30 seconds to get a glass of water.
3)The top cover of the Chef's Pantry drawer is not the highest quality component. It pops off once every two weeks or so for me (though, in fairness, my wife doesn't report this problem, so it might just be me). It's easy to put back on, but something I don't feel that I should have to worry about with a $1600 fridge.
Overall, we probably would buy the same fridge again.I'd probably pass on the water filtration option until they figure out a way to get access from the outside of the fridge.I'd probably also want to make sure to get the extended warranty.
We have owned this fridge for less than 2 years and it recently broke down.We lost all the contents of the fridge ($100's) and the repair cost us over $200.The problem was the evaporator fan.I read the warrantee and it claimed to cover the evaporator. When I called Amana to get the repair covered they told me that they only cover the evaporator coil, not the fan.The manual and warrantee document did not make this distinction.Even so, this is not an inexpensive fridge and it should go more than 2 years without breaking down.Shame on Amana for not standing behind this product and shame on Amana for hiding behind shades of warrantee language.
I've had this unit for almost exactly two years and am disappointed in its performance. You have to open the French doors to get to the water dispenser. I think this feature wastes energy and creates the potential for problems. I found this review page because I was checking to see if there were recalls on this model. In two years, I have replaced the fan that delivers cool air from the freezer to the refrigerator twice. Stay away from this model.
How did I ever get along without a filtered water dispenser? And an ice maker?
This Amana refrigerator is simply the best.We have owned ours for about a year.In that time, its operation has been flawless. Its size and convenient features make for large capacity storage and easy use.
The pros:
An internal filtered water dispenser, which is hooked up to the house's water supply, provides for fresh cold water at any time (and the filter is easy to change).
An ice maker that works quickly. One day's ice production lasts me almost a week (I don't have kids). An added benefit: the ice maker is hooked up to the filtered water system.
The French doors, which provide lots of storage space. You get the convenience of a side-by-side, but without loosing all that space.
The chef's pantry drawer.A really nice feature. It has its own temperature control, and is normally colder than the rest of the fridge.Great for storing meats, cheeses, and eggs.
Easy-to-adjust temperature controls keep overall temperature consistent, both in the fridge and freezer.
The large capacity freezer, which pulls straight out.We have plenty of room to stock up, and it's convenient on the bottom. The top bin slides out for easy access. The bottom bin pulls out when you open the door.
Crisper drawers that really keep things crisp.
Four adjustable spill-saver shelves made of easy-to-clean tempered glass.
Five adjustable door bins that have lots of room. They have rubber bottoms that come out for easy cleaning.
The lonely, and only, little con:
The location of the on/off arm for the ice maker is a little inconvenient. It's on the left side in the back of the freezer. The premise is that when the ice bin is full, the arm will rise and snap to the off position. If I ever let the fridge make that much ice, it would last me a year.I find myself snapping it on/off manually, and it's a little awkward to reach.
Overall, this refrigerator is superior to any I have owned in the past. For me, it was like going from the smallest compact car to a large SUV (but it's still an energy saver!).Highly recommended.

We've had this refrigerator for just over 1-1/2 years. It has broken down once (right after the warranty expired) same issue as others had (the fan).Is is noisy. The freezer handle has broken off completely once, and has popped off again since being repaired. The interior drawer cover is worthless. The stainless steel is of poor quality and is easily dented (even dropping an ice cube on the top of the freezer drawer is enough to create a dent. One of the worst appliance decisions I've ever made.
These bulbs worked fine with my Frigidaire Refrigerator. 2 In the pack which will help next time the bulb goes out as they may be hard to find years down the road.
Perfect for my oven.Thank you for fast delivery.Even a girl could replace it. Yeah!!!! I love helping my husband not having to fix something else.God Bless!
I tried to find a replacement 40w bulb at lowe's with no luck... just 15 w, which is not nearly bright enough. This one arrived quickly and has performed very well.
Makes a pretty good beer fridge and extra freezer.......However it would be greatly appreciated if there were more shelf adjustability for the fridge the shelves were spaced awkwardly to maximize space for my intended purpose (beer fridge)........Also it would be greatly appreciated if the freezer was self defrosting as it was a pain and waste of time to remove everything from the freezer every few months and manually remove the ice buildup.
I bought this for a small 2 man office. It's light weight and being a 56 year old woman I was able to easily remove it from it's packaging and put it in the spot I wanted. I love that it has an inside light and glass shelves, it makes it easy to see the contents of the fridge. I've had it for 3 weeks now and it's perfect. The only thing I was not happy about was the delivery, they called me to set up delivery and then came earlier then we planned and left it with someone in a different office in a different building. Fortunately the office they left it in had a dolly and to my amazement I was able to roll it over to my building with hardly any effort. Not what I wanted to do, but at least I didn't have to pay someone to come move it for me.
Works with the following models: General Electric DBB3300EA0AA, General Electric DBB3300EA0WW
General Electric DBB3300EA1AA, General Electric DBB3300EA1WW, General Electric DBB5000EF0GG
I couldn't find a Whirlpool Dryer replacement bulb, which required a 120V 10W bulb. Then I searched Amazon and found this GE version. The bulb shape is slightly different than the original, but it works just as good.
After searching (unsuccessfully) for a dryer bulb at Wal-Mart, Target, and Lowe's, I finally decided to try ordering it online.I was very pleased with the service I received from Amazon. The bulb was well packaged and arrived quickly.
I had read in some of the reveiws that the 10 watt bulbs utilized for electric clothes dryers were nothing more than cheap night life bulbs.I just recieved this bulb and I can tell you that it is not a night life bulb. The glass is much thicker and seems to have a more complex filliment. It is packed in a small cardboard box marked with the part number and manufactring dataThe bulb shape is slightly different than a night life bulb but it fits and works perfectly in my 9 year old Sears Kenmore Electric Dryer.Eight dollars seems a little steep but it is an appliance bulb and I did not have to drive around all day at 4 dollars/gallon to find this.Im happy.
Took in a house mate to share expense. I am the Oscar to his Felix.Never in my life would have thought of of looking for a replacement dryer light bulb. But the peace of getting lights for the dryers (I have four of them and 3 washers) have bad legs so I found it it better to have several than the person I pay (niece can easily do all the wash fastis worth it thanks
I could not find the replacement light I needed for my sewing machine. This one looked the same and I took a chance and purchased it. The light is not quite as bright as the original one I had, but I am not complaining because this one fit, it works, and I am happy with that!
