This is really nothing more than a taste filter it does a pretty good job of making los Angeles water taste good I use this to run to the water and ice maker in my fridge.

However, doing an actual water test, it does not remove a lot of the dissolved solids and minerals.

The overall system is fairly well made it is easy to change filters and you do not have to turn of the water to do so as the filter head features an auto shut off when the filter is removed.

However, the attachment to the wall is a single screw, and the connectors for the water lines are not as robust as i might like (friction fit essentially but then it IS all plastic and not brass.) this is probably better to use with plastic water line, as the flexibility of the plastic line should reduce stress at the fitting. I of course am using copper line, and thus my concern over the robustness of the fittings.

This is a great option for a fridge that does not have a built in filter. The filter is easy to install and easy to change. Water tastes good.I bought extra long tubing and ran it up to the cabinet above the fridge through a small hole made with a drill. Now it is totally concealed and accessible with a step stool.

Simply put...it works.I had that "Water Hose" taste on Ice due to my lines are all plastic.It went away immediately after installation.I only took one star away because the installation instructions lack detail on where the filter is to be placed.But it was easy if you have plastic line from the refrigerator valve to the ice-maker.Enjoy.

Installation was quick and easy.But somehow, I did not seat the plastic tubing in the fitting properly and later that night (bad things always happen when you're not there!) the input line popped out and the entire kitchen and nook were under water.

I reinstalled the system with greater care (and performed major house repairs) and it has worked fine for five years.I does no major filtration, but the water in the cubes and dispenser are good. Works for us.The refer. has one built in, but it costs $60 to change out yearly, or more often.I'll take the GE.Wish the fittings were a bit more secure, though!

EdgeStar Supreme Cold Beverage Cooler

Ive had this cooler for about a month and am pretty satisfied with it. It doesnt get quite as cold as I would like when the cooler is completely stocked. The mountains are blue on the Coors Light but the Super cold is not blue. If you drink Coors Light you know what I mean. However when the cooler is about 1/2 to 2/3 stocked everything Does get considerably colder. My wife thinks I'm crazy because she says its cold enough but I like my beer ice cold and I would prefer to have a full fridge rather than a half full fridge when I have friends over.

The blue light inside is pretty cool. It makes a nice glow in my bar area and makes it easy to see what is inside with the door closed. The light can only be turned on from the inside which I don't mind because I leave it on all the time anyway.

The cooler is extremely quiet compared to the mini fridge I had previously. I can barely hear it run when it turns on. It doesnt make the gurgling sound like some mini fridges do.

The door is reversible which is a nice option because I needed to switch it around. Its a pretty easy process if you are at all handy.

I read tons and tons of online reviews of the see through front coolers and couldnt find any in my price range that sounded good enough. I finally decided on this one and am happy I did. For the price you cant really go wrong. Its the perfect size for my needs and does a good enough job. Compact Appliance did a great job with the packaging and it shipped very fast.

I gave it four stars because I would like it to get a hair colder. Other than that it really is a great little beverage cooler.

Update after 2 months:

I changed to 5 stars because now the cooler is getting my beverages ice cold. So cold, in fact, that about 2 weeks ago the pop I had in there exploded. After I defrosted the cooler and turned the temp down 6 it seems like it is getting all the beverages to a consistent temp which is nice and cold. I am very pleased!

This is a good looking unit that keeps beverages very cold, in fact I had to turn the thermostat down to keep it from freezing.It is very unobtrusive even though it sits on the floor of the kitchen.I am considering buying a cabinet or table to set it on to make it easier to access.

The only negative is that it has a single shelf designed to hold wine bottles and I don't store wine in it.

I recommend this unit for anyone who wants really cold drinks.It can be used in the kitchen, basement, garage or your office.A great product.

I bought this fridge so I could have an ice cold Diet Coke waiting for me at the end of my long work days...I have a few complaints about this product.First, it's noisy.Second, while it does get things cold enough to be considered "cold" it does not get them ice cold the way I was hoping.

I would not recommend Haier kegerator, unless you like warm beer. I set it to it's coldest setting let it run for a day and the coldest it got was to 46 degrees Fahrenheit. As you know there's nothing better than warm beer. The really bad part of this is my wife ask me what I wanted for xmas, and I said I wanted a Danby kegerator it came highly recommended by a good friend. When she called "Beverage Factory" they said that Danby has a problem getting cold enough to get the beer to it's coldest optimal temperature. That they highly recommended Haier, but if you read between the lines what there really saying is that they get there most optimal profits selling haier. I also don't recommend the beverage factory. They never ask what kind of beer that you like to drink and that different beers have different types of couplers. So they just send off the standard American coupler. This doesn't work for Imported beers. Just bad all the way around, not to mention I probably lost a keg of Bass. The beer Gods are going to be very, very upset. "Don't buy from Beverage Factory" Try not to buy China Cr@p buy something thats made in the U.S. you can't go wrong. Good luck everybody and the next rounds on me!

I bought this kegerator for my boyfriend for Christmas and it's exceeded both our expectations.The kegerator is sleek and stylish and fits in great in our living room.We're now the place where all of our friends want to gono more hanging out at local bars paying for overpriced beer when we can experience this at home!We got the D system coupler for Fat Tire and an S coupler for New Castle and Stella.The only bummer is we can't have two import kegs in there at the same time but that's not a big deal.Overall, we're really happy with our new "toy" and I'm really happy with the service provided thus far with Beverage Factory!A+++!!!

This was ordered for my son for his new home, it is still in the shipping box, they won't be in their new home until August 1st, however, there was a glitch in the delivery, I contacted the shipper and they answered me immediately and said they would check into it, in the meantime we finally heard from the trucking company and made the arrangements to have it delivered, they were supposed to call 1 hour prior to delivery to be sure someone would be there, they didn't and by dumb luck my husband happened to return home right after the trucking company got there.
