I bought the vector cooler warmer (16 can version, same item), and tried it out. The metal element inside got cold, but it couldn't chill a small bottle of water after 3 hoursno way it was40 degrees belwo my room temp of 75 degrees. No wonder this thing is always on clearance. It did a little better on metal cans of soda directly touching the element, but not by much. The manual says for best results the food should be put in cold, or with an icepack, but as soon as it's shut off theres no insulation to keep the food cold, so the food quickly reaches room temp, according to the manual! Besides if I have to put in pre-chilled food andicepacks Im beter off using my insulated cooler which works, and is much more space efficient! Plus, the cooler only ostensibly brings the temp down to up to 40 degrees below ambient temp ( after 3 hours). I guess in a car where the temps go up to 130 degrees in the sun it would keep the food at 90 or so. I bought it forfifteen dol. on clearance , but returned it today. It simply wasn't worth the price. I would stay clear of this product. The only exeption I can think of is for someone who needs it only for metal cans of soda or beer and can wait several hours for a cool drink, although a cooler would still be more practical and cost effective.

I bought this because I have medication that needs to be refrigerated.I've used it for water and also used it to keep things warm.Mine gets very cold very quick and heats up so quick I had to actually take a bag out because I was afraid it would burn the plastic bag I put in.So I turned it off and it kept the items warm till I got home which was over an hour.As far as cold, I only use an icepack if I'm going to leave stuff in the car for a couple hours.I forgot it one time and left my water in overnight till about 2:00 the next afternoon and the icepack was only melted about halfway.I'd say that's pretty good.

I bought this cooler in preparation for a cross-country roadtrip this coming summer, with a 2-yr-old who loves his milk. I also bought the ac wall adapter (sold separately) so that we could keep the milk safe and cold overnight in a hotel in case there's no mini-fridge in our room. I sure am glad I bought both! Before we even left for our trip, our fridge at home konked out. We had to throw out lots of food, but we were able to keep enough milk cold and fresh for our little guy by keeping it in this cooler. It was plugged in for 48 straight hours, and worked like a champ. Needless to say, the milk was already cold when we put it in there, or it wouldv'e been down the drain for the milk too. Which brings me to this point: nowhere in the literature does the manufacturer claim that this product is a chiller. Of course it won't chill things that are at room temp, that's not what its made for. It won't chill warm water any more than it will cook a cold sandwich. But for the purpose it is advertised, to keep cold things cold, I found it to do a great job. It really came through for us in a pinch.

My wife and I bought a brand new Whirlpool Duet Steam washer and dryer set.We loved it for a little over a year.Then the main bearing and the pressure sensor on the washer went out.The cost to repair would have been over $1200.We didn't pay that much for the washer.I called customer service and they told me that they would not do ANYTHING after the one year warranty period expired "NO EXCEPTIONS!!"I found it difficult to believe that a company as established as Whirlpool would have such a policy.I talked to supervisor and pressed him on the issue.The answer remained NO EXCEPTIONS.If anything breaks after one year, it is your responsibility.I understand normal wear and tear, but I expect the main bearing on the washer to last several years.I am still stunned that a customer service supervisor would actually tell me that after one year (even a year and a day as I asked him) they will do NOTHING.Whirlpool does not care about anything after one year.The service man that came and looked at the unit says this happens with Whirlpool often.He said LG and Samsung have better bearings and will last longer.I am still a huge fan of the front load washers and I will be shopping for a new one, but it won't be Whirlpool never again.

I've had this cooler for about a month now, and it is great my purposes. I only drink reds, and would store them in a cabinet, but I keep my home at about ~85F when I'm at work or away and didn't want them to remain at that temperature for long periods of time. I could have kept them in the refrigerator, but I enjoy them at only slightly cooler than room temperature, and refridgerated is much too cool. So this works perfect, as I can store them at the same temperature I like to drink them.

Very classy look, especially when the internal light is on, though I normally leave it off. Only thing I didn't like was the back, which has a non-finished sheet metal cover. This would only be an issue when it wasn't against a wall, which was the case with me (on my bar, with the back of it be facing my living area). This was remedied by removing it (very easy) and painting a metalic black. After that it looked fine.

Temperature setting is very easy, though I determined that it was ~5F higher than it reads. Not a problem, just set it 5F lower. Though not sure how that would work for people who wanted to keep it at the low end of the temperature range.

The cooling system runs frequenly, but it is fairly quite can only hear it if everything else is off (my refrigerator easily drowns it out).

I bought this wine fridge as a gift for my fiancee about 6 months ago. We agree that it works really well. We are beginner wine enthusiasts; and drinking red wine at cellar temperature makes a big difference to us. My only complaint with this product is that on two occasions, the temperature dropped at least five degrees lower than the temperature at which we had set it. But at least that has only happened twice, hence the four-star rating instead of five.

This is great value for money.You could easily pay twice as much for a lesser product.I liked my first one so much taht I bought a second.

I got it shipped Prime (I am an Amazon Mom member) and it arrived on schedule, in perfect condition.I did move the door so that it opens right to left (because of the limited space I have to place it) and that was relatively easy to do.There were no dents, and I do not have any problems with the motor sound.I was careful to read all directions and note that it cautions you not to plug it in for 24 hours if it was tilted more than 45 degrees in transport (mine was) and also to start it on Level 4 for 24 hours before you choose a setting at which to leave it.Perhaps the other reviewers did not note that in the directions and stressed the motor before it got a chance to become operational.It is spacious, looks nice and clean, and meets my needs.It was a great product for the price.If it develops any problems later, I will update my review.

This little fridge deserves a review, so I am stepping in on its behalf. This fridge has worked fine for a few months now. I doubt it will ever freeze anything but I only use it to keep drinks cold on the outside deck anyway.

I took off one star because one of the components in the back had a dent in it on delivery. Who knows if that will become important at some point.... and because I wish it would get a little colder. On the other hand I like it so much I may get another and stack them.

Update almost a year later (August 2011). It made it through a hot summer outside and kept all my drinks nice and cold. So I changed the rating to 5 stars because it deserves it.

Update almost 2 years later (July 2012).Still working great! Outside. It was 100 degrees this week. Took a soda can out and it was fine.

First, the back of the fridge where the compressor is located is completely open without a back. Second, I had the thing for 3 days and it started making a noise like someone that was snoring. One week later, it made another noise, on top of the original noise that sounded like waves rolling in and out. Then 2 weeks later, a third noise like a buzz saw...it was a symphony of noise. Not to mention when it clicked off...it made a loud "CLINK". This refrigerator is inexpensive, but it is NOT worth it at all. It got so loud that I had to move it to another room, I am returning it, luckily all of this happened within the 30 days of purchase.

worth every penny we paid for this.it is an excellent second refrigerator that we put in our garage for mostly bottles, cans, and galon jugs of tea, water, etc.it is also good for overfolw from main refrgerator, when company comes over.keeps food and drinks really cold, and the little ice maker compartment/freezer works really well.it has a door on the freezer comaqrtment, soit actusally does keep things in a frozen state.It is a goodbuy forthe money.

I decided to replace my barn refrigerator when it died with this item. I had recycled old full sized refrigerators which held up fairly well but were not energy efficient. My husband had been wanting his own private beer fridge with a glass front and an internal light for a long time, and after doing a lot of research I decided to go with this particular fridge.Mine came well packed, and without any dents or cosmetic damage from shipping (I ordered it here from amazon).

It really gets cold, and does a good chilling drinks.If you set it to continuous, it can start to freeze your drinks.I didn't realize this at first and I had a bottle of sparkling water explode into a slushy mess inside, but it was easy to clean up.It has 8 settings, the dial has 1 through 7 and continuous, and I find that setting it to a 5 or 6 is good to keep drinks cold but not too cold.The only downsides arethat when it rotates on and off, it can make a little bit of noise, but it's not very loud and I don't really notice it anymore, and the shelves are a little bit flimsy.If you pack it full, the shelves start to bend and sag in the middle.

Other than that though it does a good job storing different sizes.The bottom can hold full sized champagne bottles, and the middle can store glass beer bottles, while the top can store cans.It works perfect for us, since we like to stock all three types.

Overall for the price, it does a good job.We are definitely pleased.My husband loves it!

[edit] The fridge died today 12/1/12, just 11 months after purchase.Currently working on getting it fixed or replaced.

For the most part this product works as expected and has been reliable after several months now. My one complaint it that the wire shelves are flimsy. When loaded up with bottles, they start to bow in the middle and the bottles slide forward and fall off. Works fine as long as shelves are not filled more than about two-thirds with bottles.

Update October 2012. Died after 16 months.

I needed something to fit in the old space where a trash compactor was in my kitchen. It looks very nice and sleek, better than I even expected. I am satisfied with my purchase, but wish it were a bit quieter and kept the drinks a bit colder. That being said, I am now used to it's "hum" and the kids and husband find the temp just fine. It is great for juice boxes, cans or wine bottles... the interior allows for a flexible arrangement. We even have oranges in there now. So overall, 4 stars as a second drinks fridge.

If you want a refrigerator, order one. This is a drink COOLER. It is quite tall so it may sit above the height of most office furniture if you plan to use it as a stand-alone. It is a very good looking unit. The LED lights on the inside don't offer a uniform illumination but do have a pretty blue hue.

The fridge itself will accommodate anything from sodas to full sized champagne bottles, however, you may want to get some additional organizer racks for soda vending as the unit is set upmore like a standard fridge than a vending machine.

The unit is quiet, elegant, and efficient. It does not make ice. Again, if you want something that gets your drinks ice-cold you will have to do without the glass front.

The Keggermeister Kegerator comes packaged in double "double walled" boxes with a lot of Styrofoam packaging materials and materials. All of the minor components are neatly organized in a separate box inside of the Kegerator fridge. After removing all the pieces and laying them out, I began to read the instruction manual. The manual content is very clear and concise with well illustrated pictures on the assembly of the unit and pieces.The box was undamaged in shipping

Assembly is fairly simple, anyone with basic knowledge of hand tools should have no problem.It takes about 20-30 minutes to get it put together and running, the one thing I would advise any owner is to take your time and learn the pieces of the dispensing system while you assemble it. This is critical in understanding how everything works in order to be able to trouble shoot any issues should they arise.

The unit comes with a 2.5lb C02 tank that I was able to get filled up for less than ten bucks. I recommend a local paint ball shop since they are better equipped to fill this size of tanks up. Welding supply shops also work.

Once everything is assembled and it was plugged in it turned right on and gave a silent hum as if to let me know it was on. Even with the compressor cycling on and off it still maintains a very minimal noise level.

After allowing the refrigerator to operate with no keg in it for 24 hours I decided to give it a test drive.The first keg used was a Full Keg of Budlight. After letting the Keg sit and cool in the Kegerator for another 24 hours it was time for the first pour which resulted in nothing but foam.After doing a bit of trouble shooting I realized I had opened the valve on the C02 tank all the way for max flow. This resulted in over pressurizing the keg. To fix this I closed the valve and adjusted the regulator to having it near closed. I then pulled the pressure release pin on the coupler releasing the built up C02 in the keg.The next glass I poured came out perfectly pure golden bliss with a decent layer of foam.

About 40 minutes layer I tried to fill up a pitcher of beer and was presented with a near perfect pour.This was more than enough of evidence that there was a consistent pressure and was at an optimal level for consistent pouring.

The exterior has a nice black matte finished that goes well with any décor. The chrome guardrail and stainless steel spout add a nice touch to the overall exterior of the unit. Cleanup is easy and was simple with just a bit of standard surface cleaner.I was also able to change out the tap handle with a standard Brewing Company handle.

I ordered this this product three weeks ago and would give this ZERO stars if possible.The first one that shipped (7/19/10) to me had a defective spout that did not lock into place.I called amazon on Tuesday 7/20/10 and they were extremely helpful.Amazon had a new one shipped to me two days later on a Thursday 7/22/10. I Assembled the keggermeister on Friday 7/23/10, plugged it in on Saturday 7/24/10 to see if it worked...and it did!!!On Wednesday 7/28/10, I bought a keg of Dales Pale ale and had the CO2 tank filled and set the kegger to the "med" setting and put a few bottles of beer inside.By Friday 7/30/10 the CO2 tanked was completely empty because there was a leak in the hose, the bottles of beer were completely frozen, and the Dales pale ale tasted stronger then normal.I had the tank refilled on Saturday 7/31/10, replaced the hose, and turned the kegger all the way down to min.On Sunday 8/1/10, I went to go and get a beer and nothing came out...I thought that was kind of strange so I unhooked the keg to see if it was tapped and it seemed there was no beer left but still on the heavy side...so i left it outside and turned the kegger off.On Monday night 8/2/10 when I got home from work, I wanted to go and return the keg at the liqueur store, but when I picked it up, there was still beer...and ICE in it.So on the lowest setting on the kegger froze my beer!Today is Tuesday 8/3/10 and I am going to contact Amazon and return the keg.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

I bought the stainless version despite the negative reviews and I'm happy I did. I unpackaged the kegerator, which was a challenge because there was about 4 layers of cardboard/padding protecting it, and let it sit unplugged for about 12 hours since it was laid on its back. Read the directions, which dont give the best pictures but there are also some great vids on youtube, and had everything assembled within an hour. Came with a dual pressure regulator even though the directions show one, which is a huge plus. Comes with doubles of ALL O-rings and small parts

But you get what you pay for -

Tap on tower doesnt stick straight out at you (might be a fluke on mine. Its about a 4:00 spot)

Tower wont spin and lock if rubber gasket is used. Not a problem but it the principle of the matter

Max Cool temp is about 42*F

I'm happy with it and for less than $500 shipped to your door its a hard bargain to turn away

I would give this zero stars if possible, this kegerator doesn't get below 40 degrees even on the max setting. My first keg i bought was a five gallon keg, half of it was easily wasted because of foam, then a few days later out of the blue i start getting perfect pours. I didn't adjust ANYTHING i had a glass of water at the bottom of the kegerator with a thermometer in it and it was still at 40 degrees, so i know that the temp inside didnt change. the psi was the same as well (according to the regulator that comes with the unit)So when i finished my first keg i bought my second one, waited 24 hours before using it and still got 100% foam, i have adjusted the co2 pressure numerous times, i cleaned the lines before i put my second keg in, yet the best pour i ever got was about 2/3s foam. The faucet on the tower is now loose as well and falling out of the tower. The keg coupler also leaks CO2 out of the pressure relief valve, causing my CO2 tank to last about a 1/3 as long as it should. There is nothing good i can say about this kegerator. Also when it first arrived the fridge door fell off, and the vinyl part on top of the kegerator hung down so low that it would prevent the door from closing, I had to stick pieces of cardboard under it so that the door could shut! This is just a kegerator with inferior parts. Waste of my money, I am now going to have to pay to replace the tower, faucet, lines, regulator, and buy an external temperature control that will override the kegerators thermostat so that the unit can get cold enough. I couldn't regret this purchase more.
