Cons:
1) Not holding temp correctly. Tech was out today and they are replacing the temp sensors. Hopefully this will help.
2) Got eggs? Normally we store our eggs on the top right shelve on our side by side. The dozen standard size egg carton does not fit on the top door shelve of our new refrig. I thought that was annoying. We actually had to put the eggs on the regular shelve.
3) buzzy sounds when power cool is on. The tech checked the compressor, fans, condenser and was unable to find the issue. I just happen to touch the back of the fridg near the freezer section and the sound stopped. I remove my hand and the buzzy sound is back. did that 5 to 8 times and it was consistent. We looked inside the freezer and the tech tighten a few screws from the inside back of the freezer and the buzzy sound is solved.
4) Ice maker: The good: Fast production and ice is great! The bad: Each time it pops an ice get ready to cover your head! You think someone threw a rock at your window. It is loud, really loud! My side by side is whisper quite when it comes to making and popping the ice out. This was just amazingly very loud and I am not over saying this. We have a large house and I can hear it all the way in bed across the entire house. At least your Samsung is making a statement that I just popped out ice ready for you...Maybe voice notification of a pop!
I am happy with the fridg. Hopefully once the sensors are replaced it fixes this temp drift I am facing. I noticed if I unplug the Refrig, wait 10 mins and turn it back on it will display the correct temp then later in a few day the temp drift. I had it set at 34F but the thermo is actually 48F inside.

Bought this during last year black Friday at $1599!! I guess I don't have the right to complain at that incredible price! I have been using this for a month. So far so good! I have read numerous compliant about this fridge on Bestbuy and other website. Yet, I still risked and bought this model (coz I like its size and look). I believe either I am lucky getting a good one. Or, others did not do what it's suppose to do. Per Lowes technician's advice, you gotta dump the 1st 2 gallon of water in order to avoid dripping. Also, after 24 hrs, you should dump the 1st bucket of ice cubes as well. I did those and I don't have any problem.Also, if you feel the fridge is not cold enough. Press 'Power Cool' or 'Power freeze' for 3 secs...and adjust to the desire temp...something like this. Hope this will help the others! This is a nice LARGE fridge!This is a really good refrigerator.Shop around and you can find these a thousand less than regular price...

This refrigerator barely fits in my cabinet frame in my kitchen.My previous fridge (25cf side-by-side) had about an inch of space on the sides and about four inches from the top to spare.I measured the cabinet space prior to buying the Samsung but was sure surprised at the size of it when it was installed.
The back of the fridge is very flat... completely sealed off.It does not have space to tuck/hide away excess water lines.Samsung provides a flat three pronged wall plug (more on that in a bit) but the waterlines was a small issue for me.Initially, the Samsung fridge stuck out two inches more than the previous model.After coiling the excess water line and inserting the excess into a small hole in the drywall (with a nice wall plate) all is well.
I read in couple places online that the "motherboards" in these new high-tech fridges can get damaged by power spikes/surges and are extremely expensive to replace.So I ordered an inexpensive single surge protector (made by Belkin) and a flat extension cable to go with it.
[IMHO, the only real alternative (size and space) to this fridge are counter-depth refrigerators (priced a grand more).]
After two days, I noticed a lot of reddish/brown streaking on the stainless steel face.At first, I thought it was dirt from the cloth/sponge I was using to clean the surface.It looked like rust, smelled like rust (very metallic odor) and stained a white diaper cloth like rust.I quickly googled "rust streaks on my stainless steel appliance" and found a simple solution: baby oil/mineral oil.That took care of all the streaking.
The stainless steel is only on the doors, not the sides or the back.The sides are dark grey and glossy similar to most refrigerator surfaces.
Last interesting note about the exterior: The stainless steel on this fridge does not attract magnets magnets only stick to the sides.We used to have magnets from all around the world on the fridge...not any more.Funny thing is, some of my other ss appliances do allow magnets to stick...
Interior:
I think a 29c ft refrigerator says it all for space.The doors have ample storage space and are very solid.Even with four gallons on milk on the door shelves, the door still feels light and solid.
Lighting is perfect.External lighting is also nice.At night it can illuminate the entire kitchen floor.
Operation:
The "Super Freeze and super cold" options work great.Moving from the old fridge to the new one was quick and easy and nothing spoiled in the process.
(This model is a single ice maker.) No issues with ice, crushed or cubed.Makes ice from filtered water.
Fridge temp is 2 degrees colder than the door computer display reports.I guess this is better than if it reported the opposite.About 2 1/2 yrs ago we bought all brand new home appliances, all SAMSUNG (unfortunately!) from LOWES in Hawaii. Planning to sell our house we didnot buy the extended warranty...After 2 years the refrigerator developed problems:the bottom freezer section, it became all frozen, the technician said it is a COMMON PROBLEM with SAMSUNG, the gasket needed to be replaced++. Also the light went out in the freezer as well as on top, the LED, above the water/ice spout...obviously we got a lemon! the estimate for the repairs was $ 600.00 ++, LOWES said after 7 days they do not accept any returns ( after spending 0ver $ 5,000.00++ we will NEVER shop at LOWES again!) SAMSUNG said sorry, YOU SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY!!!...what an expensive piece of junk! besides the refrigerator the microwave also died, the technician ordered a piece that was still under warranty, but still it didnot work, the repair estimate came to over $ 350.00!!! another piece of junk! bad luck indeed, but honest-to-God truth! we paid almost $ 200.00 to technician ($ 75.00 + tax /visit) for nothing!...now we worry about the stove, the dish-washer etc...

Our fridge (RFG29-P series) is most likely all but the same as the RFG29-7 series. That said, I guess the Samsung folks need to address their ice maker design. This model has the same noise issue when cycling the ice cubes as other models. The Samsung web site itself has the comment........"some owners may feel the ice maker is a bit loud......". Yeh, like a train wreck. Even a full cube tray does little to deaden the racket. Guess this is what prompted the 'Ice OFF' selection on the door....shut the feature off during the night as to not disturb one's slumber! The ice drops seem to be spaced too far apart; almost an hour between cycles. Our old Kenmore produced ice much quicker. AND, the old side-by-side let one quietly grab a few cubes out of the basket through an access door on the ice maker. The Sammy has you slide open the basket drawer to obtain ice without activating the (noisy) dispenser. Then....good luck in reclosing that drawer. Just won't happen if it's full.As for fridge magnet thingies not sticking to the stainless skin, that's a good thing; means the metal is of a good quality. Decent stainless does not attract magnets. Cheap stuff will.
One last beef; although the machine is quite quiet while running, when the compressor starts up, it eminates a low frequency rumble, much like hearing an old B-29 firing up its engines from way across the air field. Hope this isn't a harbinger of tough times to come with this fridge. Other than these few gripes, it's been a maintenance free four months of operation.

We just moved into our new place and wanted to class up our kitchen.There was an existing 15" spot that used to be a trash compactor from the previous owner.The measurements for this Whynter wine refrigerator was exactly spot on for the space. Of course having just bought a new house, we wanted to keep furnishings affordable. This wine fridge arrived surprisingly quickly for such a large item. Very very pleasantly surprised at how nice it looked after unpacking. Each shelf holds a good number of bottles if you place them in alternating directions.
Had some spare furniture sliders that we put under the unit and presto it slid into place perfectly! Ran it for a few hours and played around with the controls.Worked perfectly. If we have the blinds drawn the sun hits part of the the wine fridge at certain times. The tinted glass door actually came in useful, even though we never even considered that issue. I would say it runs pretty quietly.It's as quiet as our brand new fridge and has a very slight hum when we open the unit and the compressor runs for a few minutes. Love the handle bar. Just a real nice looking unit in all and we're very excited to fill it up in the near future.

We needed something for a 15" space and wanted built in, which limits the options.I had a vinotemp which lasted about 6 years, which I guess is good for these things, but it never kept the white wine cold and the metal shelves were a nightmare.The Whynter product gets to lower temperatures, which is great for our whites.The shelves, are much better, although all of these wine coolers have shelves that are too tight.The unit is super quiet.Also another big plus is that it doesn't reset the temperature when we get a power hit -it stays right where we had it set. Whynter BWR-33SD 33 Bottle Built-In Wine RefrigeratorI just did a minor reno on the house and added a new fridge in the kitchen and needed something to highlight the overall space. I took out a 15" cabinet and this Whynter unit fit in perfectly. I had an older Danby wine refrigerator that I gave to my brother.The shelves have are nice steel trimmed wood that can be completely removed as needed.Handle bar is heavy and solid and I like that the controls are not in the unit like many other brands. It's a tight fit for larger champagne bottles, but removing the shelves takes car of it. Has a charcoal filter on the back that keeps the unit fresh especially if you plan on using it as a humidor to store cigars etc. Performance is good, cools very effectively and is about as quiet/noisy as your regular fridge. The price is definitely right.

The unit arrive superbly packaged, well too well packaged actually. I spent a good 10 mins unpackaing it.Everything was brand new and mint.Installed the handle with no issue. Plugged it it before I pushed it into the cabinet space. Everything checked-out and it got cold suprisingly fast.The shelves are a nice wood and stainless trim and at this price I would be greedy if I expected gliding roller shelves. Seemed very comparable to my brother's Summit wine refrigerator.It's heavy but can be pushed into place with not much effort.Placed all my wines but wasn't able to fill it to capacity. I must say that it looks incredible when in place and filled with wine. The entire kitchen seemed a notch more classy with this Whynter fridge.
The unit chilled the wine very easily and within 3-4 hours, the wines were pretty much at optimal temperature. It's my 3 week with it and it's exceeded much of what I expected and hoped for.

The one majordrawback is customer service. It has a temp control and I like to keep my reds @ 54 degrees. It will not hold that temp. Icalled Akdy to find out how to set the the temp. A man answered with an Asian accent, so thick i could not understand him, and after 15 minutes I finally hung up in frustration. Never did get it set the way I wanted.I am going to call Amazon and ask for their help. The refer is very nice looking and will hold 32 regular sized bottles. but temp control is lacking.

the bottom spray bar can be removed just by pulling up on it and then you can clean the bearing surface easily.
try turning the spray bars, if they are hard to turn you got dirt in the bearings.
periodically while washing open the washer and pour in a cup of bleach, it will keep the mold from growing in the spray bars also.
mine works well, but I do clean the spraybar bearing surfaces about every month.
also there is a large filter in the bottom to keep glass and hard things out of the pump, this needs to be cleaned every month
by unscrewing the large plastic housing and lifting the whole screen and filter out of the bottom of the unit. the filter comes out of the housing and can be washed in the sink. if this is not done you might get a stinky washer and a bad drain cycle leaving your dishes dirty.

I would strongly agree with the previous rating.We purchased this dishwasher about 4 months ago andwe have had the same problems.Sometimes the soap never leaves the dispenser and the top rack is always dirty.I found that rinsed plates on the bottom will come clean as well as the silverware, but anything plastic will have a film of soap (if dispensed during cycle) or greasy film from other dishes.It probably is a water pressure issue, but that doesn't help us get dishes clean now.Maybe the manual should give a recommended spi for this machine to work properly.Read Best Reviews of Bosch SHE3AR56UC Ascenta 24" Black Full Console Dishwasher - Energy Star Here
Don't be scared off by the negative reviews because we are THRILLED with this dishwasher!Our dishwasher of 5 years recently died and we really wanted one that would LAST this time. I did a ton of online research (and interviewed some friends concerning their experiences with dishwashers) and found that the Bosch brand is one of the best as far as longevity. We got this one from the Ascenta series because it was one of the most affordable models.
I'm so glad we got it. My husband was able to install it himself without any problems. We've had it for several months and haven't had ANY issues. It looks nice (and the exterior doesn't seem to pick up tons of fingerprints, etc.). It has plenty of settings without being overwhelming: Heavy wash, auto wash, normal wash and half load. You also have the option to sanitize the dishes with a super hot rinse. There is a button to turn it on and off and lights that tell you if an active wash is going, if the dishes are clean, if they are sanitized and if you need rinse aide. You can also delay the start for 3, 6 or 9 hours. All of the buttons are clearly marked and nothing is the least bit confusing. The door automatically closes if it's a certain distance away from the counter and it has no problem latching. I really like the dish detergent dispenser. Unlike our old dishwashers that had a hinged door (that invariably wouldn't close after awhile or would clog with half used detergent) this one has a slide down door that works perfectly. We use dishwasher detergent tabs and not a single one has clogged or caused problems. There is also a dispenser you can fill with rinse aide. You open a little door and just pour it in there to the fill line. A dispenser light comes on -on the front panel, when you need to refill it.
When the dishwasher is running it's very quiet. Not so quiet that you can't hear it, but you can comfortably converse and sometimes I have to check...is it still on because I don't notice it. You can hear some trickling water sounds like when it first starts and when its actively spraying.
Now for the important part: Does it clean?? YES. It does the BEST job of any dishwasher I've EVER had. The dishes come out sparkling. We have very hard water so our previous dishwashers never got our dishes very clean. The dishes always came out spotted at the very least. Sometimes we would even have to rewash dishes. You'd have to practically wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Not anymore. Every dish, including the silverware, comes out squeaky clean. We've never had anything plastic melt either (as we have had happen with other dishwashers where the heating element was really close to the bottom rack). You can pack dishes in (as we've done a few times) thinking it might be iffy if some of them come out totally clean due to weird angles or whatever but no, every time everything has come out perfect! We always use the auto wash and sanitize (with rinse aide). I'm SO happy to have a dishwasher finally work the way it's supposed to, even with our horrible hard water.
The Bosch also does a great job drying the dishes. Except for the few cups with concave surfaces in the bottom, everything comes out really dry and I don't have to have a dish towel to wipe things off like I used to with our old dishwasher.
As to what other reviews have said about the dishwasher being awkward to load, my daughter would agree. However, *I* really like the layout and the prongs are spaced perfectly for my type of dishes. There are some adjustments you can make with prongs that will lay flat. The silverware holder also has some "doors" that flip up that can hold your silverware apart for good cleaning or be used to hold in little lids or things like that that would otherwise fly around the dishwasher. This dishwasher has no problem holding all the dishes for a family of 4 for dinner plus some from earlier in the day like breakfast/lunch.
I'm so glad I spent hours of online research and went with this dishwasher. We are extremely happy with it.

For the money, this dishwasher is AWFUL.The only reason I gave it 1-star instead of 0-stars (if it was possible I'd give it 1/2 of a star) is because it is whisper quiet, but IT DOESN'T CLEAN THE DISHES.I have to crank it up all the way to "power scrub" and also have the rinse aid cranked all the way up to 5, and use plenty of dishwashing detergent to even get "basically clean" dishes.This wastes a lot of water, energy, soap, rinse aid, and it is ALSO HARD TO LOAD.I've got some larger plates and bowls, and they barely fit inside.The silverware holder is also a pain.I hate this dishwasher.Ok, I'm done.I hooked it up as instructed to existing plumbing. Frequently, but not always, it did not drain. I contacted Bosch who provided the names of local service people. The first guy said there was a piece of something stuck in the drain tube. There had never been a problem with several previous makes. A week later, it again failed to drain. After hand-draining several times, I called for service again. This guy rerouted the drain tube under the sink, saying it needed to be higher. It was as high as install instructions required and as high as previously functional. The next day it failed again. This went on for quite a while, working, then failing, then working. I told Bosch I wanted a replacement. The service person I talked to said the hose needed to be rerouted behind the unit. I did this, with justified doubts. It failed again. I again told them I wanted it replaced and they insisted I had to have another service call to begin the process.
I tried a different service provider. This guy finally came up with an answer. To meet energy saving requirements, newer machines (including Bosch) were using smaller motors. He said the connection where the hose tied into the plumbing was now too small and needed to be larger for new machines. I would have to do that myself. He charged me $75 for a solution that should have been included in the instructions, and certainly shouldn't have taken nearly 10 months of frustration to uncover. The larger connection cost me about $3 and took a half hour. Had Bosch provided this information initially, they would have saved me a lot of time, frustration and $75.
The machine now drains, but remains underpowered. It does not remove food particles that have set., and does a random job at removing oily (salad or cooking) residue and small grains. In short, it does OK if the dishes are basically hand-cleaned before use.

I stopped by BevMo on my way home.This unit ONLY uses Beertender compatible kegs.So far, only Heinekin, Heinekin Light, and New Castle are available for this machine.If you don't like any of those beers, skip it.
Luckily, BevMo had the Heinekin and New Castle minikegs in stock, but it was not cold.
I brought it all home and started to set it up.It was VERY SIMPLE.The directions are all illustrated with written directions a couple pages later.
Things I did not know before set up:
1) It takes special "BeerTender Tubes".I did not know about these until I started setting it up.I looks like you can only use them one time.There were 6 included with purchase. It looks like replacements are available on Amazon for $9 for 6 tubes.
2)You must insert a COLD KEG into the machine.If it is not already the correct temp, you need to chill in the fridge for 10 hours or in the BeerTender for 18 hours before you can use it.There are two small green lights on the top: one to tell you it is on and the other to tell you the beer is cold enough to pour.Luckily, there is a store close by that sells the Heinekin minikegs already chilled, so I ran out and got one so I could try the machine out right away.
So far so good. Everything worked great, the lights came on and it poured beautifully.
I think that this is an excellent addition to my kitchen. It fits perfect on the kitchen counter.Does not take up too much room and it will be a great addition to summer BBQ's.

Although it is a tad annoying, this product is worth buying your honey for father's day or his birthday because I will tell you that the guys just down right love having cold beer on tap, and you can fit this little unit in just about any room.Now that I have figured out where to get the kegs (and to look for when they go on sale), and that you have to make sure to buy tap lines in advance, it is less of a bother than it seemed at first.You need to know that you have to buy special plastic disposable tap lines for every keg (not as green as I would like, although my brother figured out how to reuse them more than once) that are pricey, there is only three beers you can buy to put in it (Heineken and Heineken Light, and New Castle Brown), and if you buy or store the kegs warm it takes a long time to cool down.Once it is cold you are set though, and there is an indicator to show how cold and how full the keg is.I had one horrible experience trying to change the keg, alone where no one could hear me, when for some reason the tap failed and a geyser of beer shot straight up into my face, all over the wall and floor at high velocity.I managed to push the tap partially back into the keg, just enough to divert the geyser so that it soaked my clothes as I dragged the whole unit out into the yard.That was not so great, although the dog found it hysterically funny.
This is a quality piece of equipment that exceeds expectations for a $99 unit. It appears identical to the T-Fal unit but bears the Krupps label. The system uses Peltier cooling which is not as robust as refrigerant but draws far less power. As a result it takes 18 hours to cool a 5 litre container of beer from room temperature. Pre-cooling in your refrigerator obviates this issue. This is not an inexpensive way to drink beer, but it is fun and delivers the appropriate amount of carbonation. Hopefully more beer producers will offer the 5 litre kegs in future.

I was given this item as a Christmas gift and really enjoyed it for awhile, about 15 months to be exact.I switched out the keg and it stopped cooling.I pulled the keg out and turned it off for a few hours.I turned the unit on and not only did it not cool, but it cycled a few times then shut down completely.I called Krups and was told I was out of warranty.I didn't think too much of it until my brother, who was given the same gift, had the same problem a few weeks later.Then, my father's did the same thing shortly after that.All of us called Krups with no assistance.3 units failing the same way is no longer coincidenceit's a defect.If you really want a Beertender, I would highly recommend staying away from Krups.Save 17% Off
Great product! Takes a while to get cold but so worth it in the end. Also just to clarify, there is no LCD on this model. Just a light indicator that it is 1) on and 2) at the right temperature.

Right now i am like WOW the seller is a big rip-off! I know this sounds werid but at Best Buy you can buy this for $70-$80 !
