I have been trying to find the correct balance between price and performance in a replacement water filter. The price on this one is OK but Im still getting an odd flavor 3 weeks into using it. I did follow the directions and run the water through it like you are supposed to. I guess its time to try a different brand, or just suck it up and buy the correct OEM filter.

It was the right one.Very easy to swap out.Our old one would just keep cycling, and dumping water into the tray, eventually flooding the freezer.This one fixed the problem.

Appliance guy told me about $250 to $300 to fix, and that was "iffy" since it could be another part!!......I said no thanks.Got on Amazon and put in my refrigerators model number and got a hit on this.I figured I could take an $80 shot in the dark, boy am I glad I did!!Only took a few minutes (one plug and 2 screws) to install and the ice maker is producing like the day we got it.Only wish I had done it sooner!!

I got this to replace the one that came with my fridge and broke after 3 years.This was easy to install and works perfectly. Only gave 4 stars because when it arrived the front plastic cover was cracked.I'm not sure who's fault that is but I didn't care since I just used the old ones cover but if you are going to use this as a new one it might be worth noteing.
