I've been in the water industry for a long time now and I sell many different types of water lfiltration equipment.I'm actually certified by the Water Quality Association as well. I've tested this carbon filter with a chlorine test strip to see the longevity of the filter for my refrigerator.

Well, my refrigerator light indicated it needed to be replaced after about 6 months but even then I tested the water and it showed up to be fine. Another 3-4 months go by and I'm still testing the water for chlorine and it still passes.I've even checked for any kind of dumping which there was nothing.

Overall it's a good carbon block filter and lasts much longer than the stated refrigerator light indicator but then again we have a house hold of 2.

Exactly as expected... Interesting that a 3pack is a few dollars more than 3 individually purchased.Math on the 2pack is even higher per unit price.??Anyway exactly as ordered/delivered on time no complaints.

This appeared to have been a returned item. Foil covering was off filter end and the standard instruction leaflet was missing from the box. Not very sanitary to install a water filter that apparently was handled by a stranger.

Very happy with this purchase. It is for a college dorm room. It was packaged very well. Received the product quickly and with no damage to it. Very impressed with the look and quality of this mini fridge. We needed to switch the door hinge, which worked perfectly. It is quiet and does a great job keeping things cold.

I bought this as a replacement for a 4.4 cubic ft Frigidaire that stopped working after 3 years.This mini fridge is a lot smaller at 3.3 cu ft and looks funny with all the space around it as part of my wet bar, but has the recommended clearance.The fridge is ok, but there are some key things that I don't like that lowers my rating: 1. all the racks are the coated wire racks (glass is so much nicer)2. there is no light when you open the door. 3. it is louder and runs more than the one it replaced.4. the freezer door is a cheap plastic flip up, not a separate sealed freezer area. On the positive side: Looks wise, it is a very bright stainless look (which I like) and so far has cooled my beverages to my desired temp (very cold but not freezing).I guess I would rate it a 4 if it last 5 plus years but will have to wait and see!

I made this purchase for my sister, the fridge part is ok for the most part but the freezer space is a little smaller than she anticipated. We saw a few pictures of this item and saw a bit of things shown in the freezer in the advertisement, only thing is we couldn't fit that much stuff in here. But it still serves it's purpose, not mad at all.

I bought this thinking it was an "exact" replacement for my thermostat, but it is not.It looks the same but the part number is different.I wish they had stated it was a generic part on their description.I don't mind generic parts as long as I know that's what I'm getting and they work correctly.

The one I received froze everything in my refrigerator.I turned the dial as warm as it would go to no avail.I started adjusting the little adjustment screw to see if it had been set wrong at the factory, but that didn't help either.The thermostat either let things get too hot and wouldn't turn the fridge on or would continue to freeze everything.

I sent them an email through Amazon explaining my problem, but have received no response after five days.I sent the unit back to them and hope to get a full refund.

Replacing this simple part for a few bucks saved me a thousand dollars on buying a new fridge.BTW, the new fridges don't last long.Found a you tube video which showed how to replace it.

The 20 year old Kenmore fridge was either warm or froze everything. Figured out it was the fault of the thermostat. I also ordered the defrost timer at the same time because it was not expensive $6 (shipping for one item or two still the same $10.3) and don't know when the timer will fail too.Fridge was working fine ever since Feb 23 2013

Pro's:

-slightly higher water volume than the Maytag model

-OK tasting water

-did not leak

-comes with the stick on date stamp, so you know when to change the filter

Cons:

-longer in length than the Maytag, really not an issue for me, but could be depending on your fridge's shelving.

-I returned this filter because it left a plastic or bitter taste to the water.I fill a quart bottle each day for drinking at work.I was immediately able to taste the difference between this filter and the Maytag one.But, I left it installed hoping that it would go away after a week or so of use.But it didn't, so I returned it.

It's not like I'm a picky water drinker either.I'm totally happy with cheap bottled water like Costco's Kirkland brand more than the expensive stuff like Evian & Fuji and the like.But, the "plasticky" taste was something I really couldn't live with.I gave it 3 stars because the product worked well and build quality was fine.Taste is subjective, so others might like the water it produces just fine.

Engel Hinge Lock fits MT35 & MT45

Prevent the Engel freezer lid from sliding sideways when opening.

Feels a little cheap...but it keeps the lid on my Engel MT45 from coming off the hinges unexpectidly when the lid is open.I'm glad I made the purchase.
