I purchased one of these over a month ago and even with the temp at factory setting of 54, it would not cool down below 61 after letting it run for 2 days. Amazon sent me a replacement unit pretty quickly, however, I had the same problem again. I decided to send it back for a refund and not touch this make & model again.

The inner fan is loud and runs non stop.I called the help line to see if this was the norm or if I had a bad unit and I was quickly told that's how they are supposed to be.Based on her quick response I said you must get this complaint a lot.She agreed and said government regulations force them to be made that way.This little cooler is louder than our two full fridges, our mini fridge, and our chest freezer combined.Want Danby DWC1233BL-SC 12 Bottle Wine Cooler - Black Discount?

My new Kitchenaid refrigerator/freezer is great. Food items are clearly visible and there is plenty of storage space on both doors that allow for varied heigths depending on your needs. Electronic controls allows for consistent temp. Vegetable and fruit storage is accomodated with large bins and coldcuts and cheeses have their own storage drawers. There is an alarm that alerts you if the doors are not properly closed and a constant readout indicating temperature. A water dispenser is mounted on an exterior door which I don't use much.
The lower mounted freezer has two deep baskets that hold pretty much everything with an adjustable slide for more efficient storage.
The stainless steel exterior glistens and offers a lot of flexibility re: home decor. The exterior does require a weekly cleaning with stainless cleaner.
I like the quality, performance, and appearance and bought as second similar unit without the water dispenser.In one year, no problems. Everything you could hope for.
PROS:
1. Nice wide fridge w/lots of space and great shelf system
2. just now replacing filter (family of five, drink lots),
3. awesome volume ice maker, refills quickly, never gets stuck
4. keeps perfect temp in fridge & freezer
5. crisper keep produce longer
CONS:
1. we only use stnlss steel cleaners, but if you look closely, faint signs of some rust, not visible if walking by or just glancing at surface
2. ice comes out really fast, so just a cup won't catch it all, need to cup hand around spout.
Would recommend above any of the GEs we've had, including the Monogram, which was a disaster.We've had this refrigerator for 1.5 years. It has decent enough space (my husband would disagree...but I think it's fine). The two absolute deal breakers on this are:
1. Ice shoots out all over the kitchen. There is no finesse or special method that works. I have two kids, and I am constantly wiping up wet spots on the floor from melted ice. And neither my husband nor I have ever figured out the right "aim" to get ice. It's comical to watch a guest try and use it.
2. This is my biggest beef...hence why I'm writing. The deli door has broken off TWICE now. It's the bottom most drawer and is one long piece rather than a split design. So, if someone isn't absolutely careful about having both doors wide open when they try to lift it, one of the pegs pops off. I had a guest who did it the first time, and my 6 year old did it the second time.
Overall, a poor design.CONS:
The ice shoots out like from a machine gun
The ice compartment is very small
The little tray under the ice/water dispenser is corroded after only 6 months (KitchenAid is replacing it, however, I had to argue to get them to do this)
The cover for the deli tray (below the veggie crisper) gets stuck if there is anything in the crisper due to the weight (I had to remove the cover)
I thought I would like a bottom freezer, but it turns out to be very hard to organize / find things
All in all...it works and looks pretty, but for the price this fridge cost it is NOT worth it. We purchased all new KitchenAid appliances and not one of them is working properly.

Pro's:-slightly higher water volume than the Maytag model
-OK tasting water
-did not leak
-comes with the stick on date stamp, so you know when to change the filter
Cons:
-longer in length than the Maytag, really not an issue for me, but could be depending on your fridge's shelving.
-I returned this filter because it left a plastic or bitter taste to the water.I fill a quart bottle each day for drinking at work.I was immediately able to taste the difference between this filter and the Maytag one.But, I left it installed hoping that it would go away after a week or so of use.But it didn't, so I returned it.
It's not like I'm a picky water drinker either.I'm totally happy with cheap bottled water like Costco's Kirkland brand more than the expensive stuff like Evian & Fuji and the like.But, the "plasticky" taste was something I really couldn't live with.I gave it 3 stars because the product worked well and build quality was fine.Taste is subjective, so others might like the water it produces just fine.

Great price on this motor. About half $ what GE wanted. Only problem was motor holes didn't line up. Had to drill one small hole in the chassis mounting plate, but was no big deal.

Watch out for the right part number with these. My previous one was the wrong one and it didn't fit the casing 100% right so the motor froze up. This one worked the first time, and has ever since :).

I ordered this fridge from amazon.It arrived in a perfectly undamaged box.However when I opened it it looked like it was a refurbished unit.There were scratches on one side of it and a sizable dent in the other.The rather large radiator assembly on the back also was falling off because the screws holding it on were stripped.Amazon is taking care of the problem and shipping me a new unit at no charge, and having UPS pick up the old one.I am a little disappointed by Sanyo that it passed any quality control check though.
Besides that it is a great little fridge.I turned it on anyway for a couple of hours and it is very quiet, just a almost silent hum and that's all.I would have given it a 5 star review if I had not received a beat up unit.

I just installed this refrigerator in my office, and it is very quiet... in fact can't even hear it. My office neighbor's AC is way louder.I paid the extra for an "all refrigerator" so that I don't need to be concerned about defrosting every 3 months.It fits perfectly where I pictured it in the corner of my small office space, and I hope lives up to what the reviews say about keeping things refrigerator cold as opposed to cooler only cold. I have a small 'executive suite' style office. The office is used to meet with clients (all real work is done at home). It's always nice to offer the client a cold bottled water or coke. This refrigerator fills the bill perfectly. It fits under my desk and is there when I need it. Keeping it stocked with stuff is my biggest chore!Purchased this because an older one had a freezer compartment that always got frosted and needed defrosting
every couple of weeks.
This little beauty is frost free and has more space because of the lack of the freezer unit.
