Personal Mini Fridge Cooler / Warmer BLACK

I thought that this would be a good gift for my brother-in-law's home office. He always likes a cool drink at hand. First of all I didn't particularly care about the condition when it arrived. It definitely didn't look new with a number of fingernail scratches on the top in the handle area although the box it came in seemed unmolested and the packing seemed original. The black finish also looked hazy. This product is also billed as an "office" cooler but the inside caution sheet said that it had to be turned off after a few hours "or damage will occur". Their description here at Amazon says 10 hours but I don't recall seeing that when I ordered this as a Christmas gift. So you have to babysit this thing all day to make sure it doesn't die? Not much of a "office" cooler. It is also a bit noisy with the fan in the back being loud. It uses the same fan as your average computer case so you'd think it would be about as loud as that. But it's louder.

Overall, I wouldn't do this product again for what I intended, keeping drinks cool at the office. Maybe for the car or something but it's really kind of stupid design for that use.

Unbelievable. My wife and I needed something on the same floor as our baby's room. And then after about 3 months of use, IT CAUGHT ON FIRE!!! We had a dinner party and I smelled smoke! It was just about to burst into flames and I caught it. It made some kind of high-pitched buzzing noise and then lit up like a fuse. Good thing it was 6P in the afternoon! Craziness. And the sh-t is made in China, so good luck getting a refund.

They don't make it very clear, but there IS a time limit on this mini fridge. It says in Amazon's listing that you can't run it for more than 10 hours or "damage may occur." It should be made more obvious in the packaging and labeling that you can only use it for short times. I think 10 hours is being generous, since performance seems to slow earlier than that. Works okay for very short times, but that's all.

Although it is exactly the size as advertised, I was a bit surprised at how small it was.I wanted something a bit bigger.However, I am finding I prefer its small stature.It is perfect for use in my office as it fits nearly anywhere and also great for travel, which I do quite frequently.It keeps my son's milk cold enough, which is why I purchased it.I have not yet used the heating feature.Just be careful: the black box on the cord can get hot.

Luma Comfort EC220W Commercial Evaporative Cooler

Bought this cooler for our barn, which is, of course, much bigger than the 600 square foot area this cooler is supposed to cover, but it made a huge difference when we had many, many 90 degree days this summer.The cooler not only cooled but provided some much needed moisture in a very dry environment (Colorado) and with a few additional fans to circulate the cool moist air from this Luma Evaporative Cooler, it was a very satisfying investment!

The Good:

This unit is pretty powerful, and cools my workshop down easily. The space is about 700 sqft, so I guess a little larger than they recommend for this unit, but it works great.

The combination of a big water tank with a direct water hookup is a great feature, especially since the slot you fill is a bit small for a unit this size.

It's durable we banged it around pretty good the first week, not on purpose.... It held up like a champ though, and other than a few dings here and there, you wouldn't even know it.

The bad:

The water input slot is a bit small for a unit this size, but the direct water hookup makes up for it.

The wheels get stuck once in a while, but that might be more due to the dirt and crud on the floor. It's pretty light too, not sure if that has something to do with it.

It's an evaporative cooler, so while it works great in my AZ garage/workshop, I can't bring it with me to Chicago it's useless there with the high humidity level.

Overall:

This is a great unit, and even after shipping it ended up being less expensive than some of the PAC units I was looking at for the area. I wish the water opening on the back was a bit bigger, but that's really just nitpicking at this point.

A few weeks after the warranty expired so did the refrigerator.It just stopped working.The lights came on when opening the door so I know electricity was still getting to it, but it just wouldn't get cold.I had a repairman over to look at it and he said it would cost a total of $927 to fix.According to the repairman this is typical with Frigidaire refrigerators (also sold by Sears under the "Sears" brand name).He said they have the worst quality of any refrigerator he has worked on.I'll never buy a Frigidaire again!

We purchased this refrigerator from Lowe's approximately two years ago.First problem was shortly after the one year warranty ran out.The evaporator fan quit and the repair was over $300. Several months later it started leaking under the freezer side of the refrigerator.Next, water started flowing out of the water dispenser without it being depressed.Bottom line, I will never buy another Frigidaire product and if you are determined to buy this piece of crap, you better buy a lifetime service agreement.

I got my stove at Howards in moreno valley and loved it at first sight. there is a frigadare model that was a bit better but i wanted to keep all my major app with GE. to be honest the center burner is the only thing that will frustrate you, the flame is to small at high volume. So when you put one of those large skillets on there it wont work well because the flame is to short and wont cook well. its good for slow cooking but i have not really used it yet. but it really works well when you use the griddle that it comes with but its cast iron and you have to take the center grill out to use it , not sure if you want to cook pancakes on it. but its beautiful and its mine and i love it!!!! ooohhhh yea its hard to keep clean with 3 teenagers. the lower oven has no convention fan only the main oven but i use it for worming or reheating something when the main is to full. and don'tpanic when you use it for the first 2-3 times you might smell smoke or something like that, its just new, they almost all do that.

its got all the gadgets you need, its not to fancy or to basic its just right and the main burner is very powerful you can burn anything if you don't watch it, even water haha, but its cool... now the price here is well in my words shop around i did and found it at howards for 1,200$ out the door. but if you are looking for a GE and dont want to spend a lot of money for extra gadgets this is nice, sure there's better but so are the prices...

Had the GE Cafe Range.Could not tolerate the noisy fan even on regular baking. When the oven was on regular bake and I would be doing something on the top of the range, the oven fans would blow over 80 degree heat into my face. GE admitted the problem and did not have a fix.The range was returned.We purchased this model and so far, we really like it --no problems. It doesn't look too bulky in our kitchen (although I did like the drop-in look of the returned range). I would recommend this range.

Bought this item through Amazon which they shipped 7 Jun 2012.Today 20 Aug 2012 I phoned the Wagan Corp to let them know that their item was faulty.I went on to explain that the DC adaptor cord was faulty and the fridge would not work, they said the cords that came with the item are not coverd by their warranty.The warranty in the manual did not disqualify any thing being exempt from the warranty.Would suggest not buying from a company which does not stand behind their products as shipped.

We just used this item on a two week trip. Our purpose was to keep some medication cool and have cool water. It worked on both counts within minutes the inside is cool. Remember to unplug it at night. It apparently only took about six hours to drain an Explorer battery. (It was still cool inside in the morning.) Lesson learned. These things cool to about 40 degrees below ambient, so in an air conditioned car it worked great. During short stops (up to two hours) we left it on and even though the inside car temp got to 100F the cooler was able to maintain a good cool environment. For what it is, and for the power it draws (45 watts or so?) it does the trick. It's not a refrigerator it's a cooler and for that it saved us from having to buy ice on the trip. I'm very happy with it. If the unit had more insulation is world be less useful because it would take up two much room in the car the size was just right for our needs.

I bought this cooler for a family road trip. Just before we left I filled it with 6 bottles of orange juice from the fridge the night before and put them inside. They were still nice and cool when we drank them. There was still plenty of room for yogurt, string cheese and apples for the kids. I love how it helps us save money and eat better by bringing our own healthy snacks from home instead of stopping for fast food when the kids get hungry. The cup holders are a nice addition too.

My wife and I had to make a 5 hour trip to a neighboring state to visit family. We had medication that needs to be kept refrigerated and at the hotel/motel we were staying at over the weekend, they did not offer a fridge in the room. So instead of getting a cooler and playing the "dump and refill the ice" game, I opted to purchase this product. As some other users have pointed out, this is a cooler, not an actual fridge. Perhaps calling the product a "personal fridge" could be misleading. The price was decent, compared to some others out there and it does keep things cool (have not yet tried the warmer). Our jeep had a cigarette lighter plugin that still pumped out power when the jeep was turned off, so in short instances where we had to stop for dinner/lunch, the cooler kept on working. One thing to note in the instructions, it does say not to leave it plugged in that way and make sure you unplug it before starting the vehicle again this little cooler does suck some battery power.

I ended up having to buy a converter to be able to plug the power into the wall socket from a cigarette lighter. DO NOT USE the converters that are used for cell phones! They do not output enough amps. I made this mistake and it melted the converter that was plugged into the wall. Wagan does sell a converter that is made this product. Since I was already in the middle of my trip, I bought a similar converter from the local W-mart and picked up a Coleman branded converter. It worked and the cooler kept the meds cool for the next 2 days without incident. For what I bought it to do, it did the job well. The only cons to this product is that the product looks and feels a little cheaply made and labels that are placed in the front of the switches, looked like it was (crookedly) placed there by a child. Other than that it is a decent product.

Bought this unit based on looks and inferred quality, i.e. maker of commercial products. Unit does not hold consistent temperature. Regardless of what you set, it floats on its own depending on environmental temperature. While house is at 72-76, white wine side will not get below 50. Also noisy operation, much louder than regular fridge. Company support is non-existent. Have sent emails and service requests with no response. Looks great, but first priority is to actually hold temperature.And have no idea where you put the other 10 bottles above 36 shown, 6 bottles x 6 trays. Spend more, buy a name brand with a established service team.

fridge arrived well intact...I was surprised since I live in the mountains. Top shelf will not lock in place due to design flaw with shelf too long. Quite noisy compared to house refrigerator. Temp varies a bit but within a few degrees of setting. Large bottles will only fit on top shelf in white wine section.
