Maytag UKF8001 Pur Refrigerator Cyst Water Filter 1-Pack

Maytag UKF8001 Pur Refrigerator Cyst Water Filter 1-Pack
  • NSF certified refrigerator water filter
  • Reduces cysts, asbestos, particulates, lead, mercury
  • Retains beneficial fluoride in water while reducing chlorine taste and odor
  • For us in Maytag and Jenn-Air refrigerators with filter access inside the refrigerator
  • Replace every 6 months

This filter was a snap to install, and once I did my water pressure from the dispenser was back to normal. If you've

got a refrigerator that uses one of these filters and the water's been coming out slow then it's probably time for a new filter. One word of advice: use a big water pitcher for the first use of the dispenser after the filter change the pressure has to readjust and it will spit out a few huge blasts of water that will overwhelm your normal water glass. After the couple of big blasts though, you get constant good pressure, better than you remembered was even possible after the gradual slow down with your old filter.

This filter is rated at 750 gallons capacity. If the consumer uses one gallon of water per day in the form of water from the refrigerator dispenser and ice from the ice dispenser, the filter will last 750 days; i.e., just over TWO years. In general, there is no reason to replace the filter yearly, unless you have a really yuccky water source.

In a small household of two adults, the filter should last considerably longer than two years. Furthermore, with the addition of a filtered water dispenser at the sink (such as a GE undercounter unit), the refrigerator filter would be functional for a few years. The undercounter units have a quite large capacity and some use two filter cartridges.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator from an authorized Maytag dealer in October 2005.I was informed, at the time of purchase, the filter will last 12onths( or very close to 12 months). There is an indicator on the refrigerator that tells me when to change the filter.About a year went by and sure enough the light went on ,I bought a new filter from the Maytag store, and all was well. I followed this every year until 2009.In 2009 I found the filter on Amazon and ordered it.It was $10 cheaper and I did not have to drive 40 plus miles to the Maytag Store. The filter delivered was a 6 MONTH FILTER.It said it on the box.Amazon was excellent with refunding my money. But I still needed a new filter( I thought). So off I went to the Maytag store. The manager of the store sold me the 12 month filter and informed me that this is the only one he sells and that the filter is marked replace 12 months and not to be fooled because the packaging is very similar.Coincidentally, Amazon refunded my money, but the company that filled the order didn't want it back,so I left it in.Sure enough, 6 months later, the light went on to change the filter.I had the one I purchased from the Maytag Store , installed it, and just a couple of days ago, the light went on to change the filter,12 months later. So folks, the 12 month filters are out there. The Amazon description of the filter does not show both sides of the filter and does not show the box. That is where the you will find out whether it is a six or 12 month filter.Maytag UKF8001 Puriclean II Refrigerator Cyst Water Filter, 1-Pack

I have a Viking Fridge which "officially" uses the RWFFR filter. While the Viking filter sells for $60+, I was very happy to find a cheaper alternative. This filter is a perfect replacement for much less money.I can't tell any difference in taste, and in comparing the performance data sheets they appear exactly the same. They're probably made in the same factory with just a different sticker slapped on.

Wine Enthusiast 42 Bottle Double Door Dual Zone Wine Refrigerator -Stainless Ste

Wine Enthusiast 42 Bottle Double Door Dual Zone Wine Refrigerator -Stainless SteI bought this fridge because I needed one for my newly built bar. The quality is great! The look is great!! Functionality is awesome!! I love the fact that I can put my red wines on one side and the white wines on the other side. I also love the fact that I have control of the temperature settings. Do note that this wine fridge is ONLY for standard wine bottles. If you are thinking about putting in champagne bottles and the such, this will not work. Please see pictures I uploaded in the product's listing

Culligan RC-EZ-3 EZ-Change Replacement Cartridges, 500 Gallon

Culligan RC-EZ-3 EZ-Change Replacement Cartridges, 500 Gallon
  • Reduces: bad taste and odor, chlorine taste and odor, particulate class III
  • Features twist-on and twist- off mechanism, quick-connect fittings double water shut-off
  • NSF Certified and a 5 year warranty
  • 6 month 500 gallon capacity
  • Filter change reminder sticker

Anybody who knows about the Culligan filter systems knows just how great they really are.The RC-EZ-3 is a great filter, removing most of the more common contaminants and chemicals from the water; resulting in nice, pure, fresh, sweet tasting drinking water and crystal clear pure ice cubes. We even use it for ALL of the water we give to our cat (family member). We wouldn't be without it (and we live beneath the poverty level, so that's just how important -and cost efficient -this water filter really is).If you don't have one, I would absolutely HIGHLY recommend getting one. It's only pennies per gallon to assure you that you aren't ingesting contaminants, chemicals and parasites!

Easy to change filter and water that tastes good are my criteria. To that I would add compact size. I use this in my RV, and the RV filter pack came with the level 4 filter which is much more rotund in size. It might do a more thorough job in filtering some things, but not that I can tell. This filer is half the price & lasts a full season. We use either city water or water in our tanks that has been filtered and re-chlorinated for storage. [1 Tablespoon per 10 gallons.] Works well & makes great tasting coffee & tea.

I was very happy at first with this Culligan product until at about after 9 months, the filter bottom split open, flooding the kitchen floor and cabinet area.I thought it was a fluke thing and installed a new filter. The same thing happened at around 8 months with water everywhere.I called Culligan to report this and they said they have never heard about this problem???The filter has a engineering flaw at the base where it is seemed together.I DO NOT recommend a Culligan water filtration system.Besides the water damage I have, they weren't even willing to send a new filter or acknowledge that they have a design flaw. The Culligan representative told me to try the EZ-4 filter, but after reading reviews, I found that it's happening with the EZ-4 filter as well.I have never had this problem with the GE filters, so I'm going back to them.

These are SO easy to change I've used the EZ-3 and EZ4 I didn't really notice a difference in the taste or smell of the water between the two. What I did notice is that I'm not paying twice as much for it and it's so much easier to change than my old Aquasana that the only effort involves the fact that it's under the sink. If it were at shoulder level in the open, this would take 10 seconds to change. LOVE these filters, never stop selling them Amazon and Culligan!!

This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Three times per year I change the cartridge and we always have great tasting water.
