Finally, we have the perfect refrigerator for our small household. We suffered through several years of refrigerators with small freezer drawers within the body of the fridge: the fridge never seemed to stay cold enough (warm milk!) and the freezer drawer was constantly choked with ice, and the power bill was strangely high. But having decided to buy a bigger fridge, we could not find one locally--they were either for dorms, or for large families. I was a bit nervous about ordering a major appliance through Amazon.

The Danby refrigerator, 9.2-cu-ft capacity, is plenty large for two people, is Energy Star-compliant (and down went the electric bill). The freezer is plenty big enough for our bags of frozen veggies and fruits. The LED light takes a bit of getting used to, but we like it--it doesn't blind you when you open the door in a darkened kitchen. It's easy to keep clean. The recessed door handles don't catch sleeves.

The only caveat is that when the shippers dropped off the refrigerator, they dropped it off at the sidewalk. That's as far as they take it. One of my lovely neighbors came over with a beefy handtruck and sheet of plywood and helped us haul it up the front steps and into the kitchen. If you live in an upstairs apartment or other home without easy curb access, be prepared. Otherwise, the whole thing went off without a hitch, and I have since recommended to people here in town that they buy off Amazon for the better selection.

We live in a very small space.It is so great to have the refrigerator only take up the space we need for our food.We shop once a week and have enough space for all of our purchases.It is great.(It does not have a light in the freezer.)We shopped all over, it is the only thing like it on the market.We are tall and love the freezer on the bottom.(We do not use the soda can storage, would rather have more shelf.)

The first unit I ordered was defective; the door hinge was bent and the doors did not seal. I decided to give it another chance and requested a replacement. The second unit was defective as well; the screw holes to attach the door handle were misaligned and the handle would not attach properly. I think it is safe to assume at this point that there are serious quality control issues with this brand. This time I requested a refund. If the rating system allowed me to give it zero stars I would.

I purchased it throughunder Koolatron WC-18 name in Dec 2009. It appears to be exactly the same model that is shown on this Amazon.com image.I really liked cabinet design and ease of controls. Unit was fairly quiet just slight whisper noise of cooling fans.

Unit's upper zone stopped working two month after purchase fan was running, but there was no cooling function. It looked like the top thermo-elements have been defective.After reading warranty info ( I should had done it prior to purchase no excuses.) I found that Koolatron is only providing 90 days protection and does not refund shipping charges to Canada or another US location (approx $60 for UPS).I was told that if it fails again I would have to ship at my expense again (no refund even if they find that product was defective) and warranty would not be extended. I found that no local warranty repair service is available anywhere else in the country. Customer rep. would not let me to discuss my options with her manager and simply hang up on me after I started complaining.

I got very lucky that our local Sears store kindly agreed to take this unit back at full refund (including shipping)under their 90 days return policy!

This is a great wine refrig. for the home with little space.It is a little tall but that's fine because the width is where we have space issues. It is quiet, and I like that it holds both white and reds.

The Koolatron KBW-55DD wine refrigerator has been a disappointment.I purchased the Koolatron for my husband for our anniversary and he was delighted with the idea.Unfortunately, the Koolatron has never reached the cooler end of the temperatures it advertises although we have had it plugged in and running for over a month now.I tried contacting Koolatron directly by email but their only response (about a 10 days later) was "where did I buy the unit and how long ago".I responded that I purchased it through Amazon within the last few weeks but I have never gotten any further response from them.Am I supposed to ship the unit back to Amazon? to them?I would not recommend dealing with this company.

Looks great but it does not cool down as stated.Upper 48 degrees lower 58 degrees.If it wasn't such a hassel I would send it back.

It appears that Koolatron did not measure current wine bottles:Forget about putting Sylvaner, Gewuerztraminer, Pinot Gris, Rieslings from France into it (bottles are too long); forget about Alban's (CA) Viognier etc. (bottle has too large a diameter); forget about some Loire Valley whites (again diameter).That's all I've tried before giving up.

This is a great size and runs quiet.It keeps the wine at perfect temperature.The inside light is not very bright and makes it hard to read the wine bottles so I have to turn on another light.

It should come with more settings to give more choices as how cold youwant your wine. Some people like their wine colder than others. Than why bother with a wine cooler.

My Koolatron WC08 is only about 2 years old. When new, it performed just fine. If I set it to say 50F, it would stay within one degree of that setting. Later I noticed it couldn't keep up in the summer when the house might get up to 80F inside. Now it can't maintain proper temp at all....It always runs at least five degrees warmer than the setting. This unit is not durable.

I recall having a Sunpentown frying pan a few years ago and remember throwing it out after a couple of months. Getting another Sunpentown product was probably not a very smart idea. If they made bad frying pans, I doubt you can expect much for a complicated wine storage system.Definitely not pursuing any design awards when they came up with this. Tacky and plastic looking with a supposedly high tech touch panel. I did not have high expectations for a 200 dollar plus wine chiller and could not have been more right. Set your expectations low. Very low. The touch panel was so misaligned that you would have to press a full inch to the side to activate it.

The unit claims to fit 21 bottles which it does, but try putting a slightly wider bottle in there and it wont fit unless you remove an entire shelf. I'm not sure if the dual zone is purely in appearance but there was at any given time only a 1 degree difference between the upper and lower. Even if you set the top zone to the maximum and the bottom to the minimum, both zones would just settle somewhere in between. I'm assuming it's a insulation failure between the top and bottom.

I was actually going to keep it out of sheer laziness, but when the bottom zone stopped running, it was obvious that no matter how forgiving I was, it would not work out.Not a life changing crisis by any means, but sometimes it's just good to learn from the past mistakes.

This product has been a big disappointment. It has never been able to cool to the temperatures set. The lowest it will reach is 60 degrees. The motor for the upper section died within a few months. I would not recommend this unit at all.

We have had ours for about a year and I noticed that often the temps would get much higher than I had it set (like up to the mid-60s).If I cleaned the screens on the back it would go back to normal though.But last week we were out of town for a week.When we got home it was reading 99 degrees!!I opened it up and all our wine was burning up.I think it was much much hotter than 99 degrees but that is the hottest the display could show.The corks were popping out of the wine and hundreds of dollars worth of wine were ruined.What concerns me even more is that if we didn't come home when we did it could have started a fire.Be careful if you get this.

Bought the winecooler regardless of reservation from reading negative comments on Amazon.Should have taken these reviews more seriously.The demise came gradually, first the top cooler temp kept creeping up, then came the bottem section temperature problem.One day, the engine noise became so labored that we had to unplug it.It never recovered.

It is a good looking piece of equipment, but for something that costs close to $300 without functioning for one year, it is a piece of crap.

If you buy this part, make sure you give it 24 hours to work. I was expecting it to start working right away as soon as I installed it. I was very frustrated when I didn't see the dial start to spin when installed. I actually took the part out and sent it back thinking it was defective. Well it turns out the part has an internal thermostat that has to get cold to the right temperature in order to kick the icemaker on. They failed to leave out this very important bit of information. The common lay person would never know this. So don't send it back, give it 24hrs to work!

When installing this replacement icemaker be sure to use a small level.If the icemaker is not level the water will overflow and make a mess.Yes I made the mistake so you wont!!The on/off arm is smaller and shaped differently than shown in the picture so I used the old on/off arm. The kit came with several different wire harnesses(4)and two tubes.I didn't need to replace the water tube.All in all this was easy to install and the best price that I found. The manufacture name on the box is Supco (Sealed Unit Parts Co. Inc.).Part name on box is RIM500 Modular icemaker service kit. Replaces: Whirpool 4317943, 978556, Maytag and subzero.

But guess what, for a mere extra $20 they offered to sell me one that looks just like the picture. This is an absolute bait and switch, false advertising, etc...Seller also would not authorize a return or refund. Buy at your own risk! Part number that arrived is W10190965, mfr is FSP. Again, not what was listed in the description....

This is a very good replacement for the ice maker on my Whirlpool fridge.It's not an exact replacement, but it's definitely comparable.To me, "very good" means I didn't have to hack around to make it fit or function.The quality is just OK though.

(needed it asap)Totally different plastics!!Both have the metal insert, but the EOM part is a harder plastic, and also a different color...tinged a greenish color.You can find the OEM online for cheaper than Sears, but total cost depends on shipping.Like others have said, don't waste your time and money on a $5 coupler.It's not worth the aggravation of tearing the washer apart multiple times to replace it.Spend the extra $$ and do the job once!!$20 is still a lot cheaper than what a service call costs.I watched the utube video's and did it myself, was easier than I imagined.I'm a 52 yr old female.

Who would have thought that a replacement part you search by PART NUMBER could be so wrong...

There is a metal ring inside that is too loose and because of this my washer still did not spin to drain.

I ended up calling a repair man and even he was stumpped at first thinking that THIS REPLACEMENT looked fine along with everything else.

Thank goodness he really knew what he was doing, because when he took it apart and took a second look he realized that it isn't the same as what he was expecting (and he says he's been repairing appliances for over 30yrs) He replaced it with one of his and like magic, everything was fine.He says that he has NEVER seen one made this way!!!

The Amana replacement icemaker water valve was/is advertised as a "universal" replacement for the manufacturer's original equipment. The replacement, however, has different water line fitting connections. This required substituting parts from the old valve to make the new valve operable. Fortunately, the old valve failed due to electronics. Had the failure been in the physical water line connectors, the "universal" replacement would have been a completely useless, and somewhat falsely advertised purchase.

Took the old one out, new one in without changing anything. Shipped on time and arrived on time with no damage to product.

Fixed the ice maker no fill problem. Factory part fit perfectly so repair was easy. The original part was color coded to the electrical connectors to keep ice maker filling and drinking water dispenser connected properly to the correct valve. This repair part does not have the color coding but if you are at all careful removing the old part this is not a problem. That's the only think to watch out for.
