The product I received from this Amazon Marketplace seller was a cheap, poor quality knock-off.It's not the real Mccoy.First, it did not have the same amount of layers that my old one did, so clearly you will not have the same quality filtering.Also it did not come in a box, but was merely shrink-wrapped and shipped in a padded envelope.This is not a negative review of the Puresource filter, which is a fine product.I would just buy it from a different seller.As the saying goes, you get what you paid for.I learned my lesson.

The filter was as expected and replaced the OEM filter that we were getting at Sears. This filter cost 1/2 the price of the OEM filters and it is working fine. I don't taste any difference in the water from the orginal filter. Product was received days before promised delivery date. Great transaction!

After installing & using for a week, we have noticed this filter does not remove odors and taste from our water the way that the frigidaire brand replacements did (which is all I had bought previous to this purchase).I have ordered the brand name product and will be removing this one as soon as I receive it.We did receive it in a timely manner, I just wish I had not waited past the return period to try the product....
