This bulb does work fine, but upon receiving it and comparing it to a standard 4W night light bulb, I could not detect a single difference in the construction (internal, or external).

I assumed a bulb designed to operate in a vibrating dryer would have some "heavy duty" aspects.Not the case.This is an ordinary 10W night light bulb.Google "10W night light bulb" to see them available for pennies each.

It's a light bulb for my old dryer (just bought a new set) that was required for my whirlpool dryer. I couldn't find this anywhere else besides ebay but was cheaper here on Amazon. I had to replace it because the other light bulbs life was done. It's a light bulb and works. Five stars. I suggest looking at the model number of your dryer and matching it with what light bulb it takes. The listing didn't have my whirlpool dryer listed in the description so check with your manufacturer for the item number

The original one blew out and I did not replace it for years. This bulb has been holding strong. Good.
