These filters do exactly what they are supposed to do, keep the water pure and clean. The filter is very easy to to install. The old filter pulls directly out of the slot on my refrigerator and the new one inserts back into the slot. You can't mess up as there are arrows on the end of the filter and slots in the holder will not permit installation but one way. Now the "con" side. These filters last only six months although I did get 7 months out of the last one before the filter light came on. On top of the short life the filter's cost is rather high.
