Good value for the size and having a small freezer. I do like the fact it is very quiet when it does run which is not very often.Read Best Reviews of Danby DCR122BSLDD 3.2 cu.ft. Compact Refrigerator - Spotless Steel Here
It's pretty good, a little bit noisy and hears dripping noise when it defrost but over all good quality and the noise are better than my previous one.Want Danby DCR122BSLDD 3.2 cu.ft. Compact Refrigerator - Spotless Steel Discount?
We've had this mini-fridge in our home for about 2-3 weeks.First of all, I was super impressed with how quickly it started cooling. The freezer section & fridge shelves all felt cold to the touch within a few minutes of turning it on.I was originally planning to get the Danby "all fridge" mini refrigerator, (the one without the freezer section), because it had a full auto defrost feature.I decided at the last minute to get this one instead, because I did need somewhere to keep all of the little ice packs that we use for our children's lunches. So far, I do not regret getting this one instead. After almost 3 weeks of use, it does not have any frost built up.It has a "semi" auto-defrost system, but since I have not needed to defrost it yet, I can't really comment on its effectiveness, or ease of use.
We purchased the Danby to be used mostly as a beverage fridge for extra soda's and for all of the drinks & bottled water that our kids take to school. So far we have been very pleased.I have it set about 3/4 high power and it cools perfectly. In fact, the canned soda's that we have on the top shelf, closest to the freezer section, usually have a tiny bit of ice in them! The freezer section has been cooling at zero degrees, but I recently turned it down a little because the fridge was actually a little too cold!Since I'm only freezing ice packs, it didn't need it to be zero degrees anyway.
One thing that I was concerned about before my purchase was that I had never heard of "Danby" before. However, a few weeks ago, I was in a local high-end appliance store and saw an "outdoor" mini-fridge with the "Danby" name on it.It cost about$1500!!That made me feel much more confident about buying this brand. Not because Danby also sells high-end products, but because I know the owners of the appliance store, and they wouldn't sell "junk" in their store.:)
Overall, we are thrilled with this purchase. It got all of those extra drinks out of our main full size fridge, so we now have more room for our food.I would definitely buy this product again! Not too big and not too small. Perfect for a small office. Looks look and is very quiet. Good value too.
