I was upset when the original handle cracked, but I was happy to find a reasonably priced replacement.Item was as advertised, shipped quickly and installed easily.

Very happy with the price, especially compared to what whirlpool was asking for it.Placed the order on the 23rd and received the handle today (the 25th).The handle was also very easy to install (remove the old handle, two screws, and it fits in the same location.

However, the item was not as advertised.They listed the following: "Genuine Whirlpool repair part fits your washer perfectly.Look for the Whirlpool FSP logo on the packaging to ensure Whirlpool quality."As it did fit the mount location perfectly, it is not centered the same (slightly shorter on the top and longer on the bottom when mounted to door) as the original whirlpool handle.This caused the door having to be shut with force to latch in place.I had to file down the bottom side of the handle to get a good fit.Also the packaging was just a heavy duty ziplock style bag, nothing with a whirlpool fsp logo (no logo on the part either as on the original).

Lastly, the part was not an identical match, several slight differences with the manufacturing (some area's where thicker or thinner & different markings on the backside of the handle) and it was fairly dirty as if sitting out in the open for a while or used handle that was poorly cleaned.

All in all, the alterations for a proper fit were fairly easy, but I was just expecting a true whirlpool replacement part (as stated by the seller) that would fit out of the box, or in this case ziplock bag.

you might save some $ with this handle, but be cautious.it's not an exact fit, so the washer door doesn't close properly.it caused my latch to break, thus causing a door lock failure, putting the unit completely down.the price difference would have been worth avoiding the further frustration.
