The shelf if fine but the need to replace it and the high cost was the problem.I assume that I will need to replace it in a few years too.The quality of Whirlpool (and all the other brands) has suffered so much in the last few years. The old products we replaced (refrigerator, dish washer, range, microwave etc.) were so much better the new products that replaced them.
