We ordered 2 of these for our office.One did not work at all when rec'd.The motor/compressor got so hot you couldn't even touch it.When we contacted Amazon about a replacement, we were told we have to pay the shipping to return it & then we'll receive a credit (no replacement).I can tell you the replacement won't be this one & may not even be from Amazon.Very disappointing because we order from Amazon a lot & usually get much better service than this.The only good thing was we got free super saver shipping in the first place.

This frig is basically good for keeping soda & water cold. The temp swings in the frig are so great that the food can't stay fresh very long, even the manual says it'll keep chicken & beef for only 1-2 days!!! What good is that?

After the frig was 6 months old it stopped working, I'd come into work to be met with a pool of water in front of the frig & any food spoiled. I think the thermostat is flaky, Haier agreed to replace it. 4 months later & 6 calls to Haier Customer Support & my replacement still hasn't arrived. Last time I called they said it should ship in 7 business days, I'm not holding my breathe. Next time I buy a office frig it'll definitely not be a Haier!!!

Lousy customer support & even if it worked properly it should be able to keep food from spoiling for more than 1-2 days. Look elsewhere for a small office frig!!!

This refrigerator/freezer is great for my room. I can keep my drinks freezing cold and keep my food refrigerated. The only problems are that the freezer portion is very small and can only fit a small veriety of smaller objects a pack of waffles, for example, will not fit, but a small tv dinner box will. It seems like this company sells another version of this fridge that's a little larger and also cheaper might be worth looking at.

We ordered a replacement cartridge through amazon. The prices were really good. Unfortunately, we didn't realize there were different types of cartridges for the filter unit. Even tho' we got the wrong cartridge, the vendor, Pavel, was GREAT. They were so helpful and when my boss opted to order from our old vendor (just because we knew we'd get the right one even tho' the price is a lot more) I wanted to give Pavel a thumbs up because they were so pleasant and helpful. We'll order from them the next time we need to replace the cartridge.

It seems there are a LOT of misuderstandings in these reviews.If you own a Sears refridgerator it IS a Whirlpool, or Kitchen Aid, or whatever else with a "Kenmore" name plate on it.Sears doesn't make their appliances and they purchase appliance from varios companys and put their "Kenmore" brand on it.I have a Whirlpool fridge, Whirlpool dishwaher, and GE microwave.They all say Kenmore and the stainless stell matches perfectly.A Sears sales rep will tell you who makes the specific unit.This is true for Kenmore washers & dryers as well, all appliance.Secondly, Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Kenmore, etc. do not make the filters.Sears, Whirlpool, etc. sell the filter with their markings on it.PUR make the filter.This is not a cheaper replacement for the filter, it is the same filter.I have been using PUR filters bought on-line for 5 years now and it is the same filter that came in the refridgerator when I bought it.The only thing to keep in mind is that the "universal PUR Filter", that fits all push button, in the grill units, does not have the same filtration as the the specific PUR filter that comes with the fridge.For example the "Universal" filter is about $26 on Amazon and my fridge came with a PUR 4396710 which cost about $32 on Amazon.Both will work, but the $32 unit filters out about 11 types of impurities, the $26 unit is 4 types. I buy the 4396710 to protect my 2 year old and wife.What is $7 more when it's your family's health.They are about $50 each at Sears.

I hope this information helps clear up some misconceptions and helps people make an educated decision on what to buy.

If you go to PUR's website, you'll find that this filter handles only 4 problem areas: (chlorine, sediment, lead, o-dichlorobenzene).

The more expensive #4396710 Kitchenaid/Whirlpool deals with 11 problem areas (the side of the box lists all these in detail: (chlorine, particulates, lead, mercury, benzene, o-dichlorobenzene, toxaphene, asbestos, cysts, turbidity, atrazine).

The strange thing is that the PUR website only seems to show the cheaper filter and its attendant 4 areas of filtering. It may just be my ineptness, but I couldn't find the other better filter on their website.

My wife, wanting the best water, always opts for the more expensive filter. It's around $60 in local area markets. I just ordered one from Amazon a couple of weeks ago for $35 delivered; other internet dealers carry it for around the same price.

First time changing filter. Not sure if all do this, but when i changed, we had extremely high pressure. Im guessing it was acting like there wasnt a filter in at all. Caused water to keep flowing a bit (without pressing).

After that strangeness, took about 6 pitchers to get airbubbles out of filter, etc.

Kenmore and Whirlpool are the samer thing more or less. Works fine now its been in use.

Definately cheaper than getting the kenmore one

I was actually looking for a smaller freezer to take the overload from my fridge freezer, but for the price difference, this somewhat larger freezer (12.1 Cubic Feet), which is frost-free and has an interior light was a much better deal.I remember my mother defrosting her freezer years ago and really didn't want to have to do that.It's a huge hassle.But neither did I need a big fancy freezer and my space is limited.This freezer really fits my needs.It is not too big (outside measurements: 5' H, 28" W, 26" deep)and not too heavy so it can sit on the little platform in the garage outside my mudroom door. We got it up the stairs on a hand truck with no problem. It's handy for me there and doesn't seem to mind the heat in the garage.It's well insulated.

I am using an appliance quality extension cord to the nearest outlet, which is working fine.We adjusted the front leveler legs up slightly per directions so the door swings shut by itself, which is nice if my hands are full. The door provides a secure seal.It has a pocket grasp handhold for opening rather than a latch.The door can not be reversed to open on the other side.

There are no baskets supplied with the freezer and I wanted those so have ordered some small freezer baskets Chrome Basket (Chrome) (8"H x 11.75"W x 12.75"D) for the shelves to contain my produce sealed in plastic using my FoodSaver. These baskets are a shade too wide to fit two abreast on the shelves, but I got one for each shelf and am using the other half of the shelf for things I can stack and larger items.The shelves, by the way, are non-adjustable, but well spaced.

I knew I wanted an upright freezer, but the extra space offers the unexpected bonus of allowing me to freeze homemade juice pops for the grandchildren (which need to be upright and level until frozen) and gives me room for a cookie sheet holding strawberries to be frozen separately before bagging and other unusual options my fridge freezer never really did (it is always too full).

I haven't seen an electric bill yet to assess the impact and I know it will be more than a manual defrost freezer, but I'm so delighted with this unit, I'm willing to pay a little extra.The energy guide that came with the freezer estimates $62/yr.That seems low, but we'll see.All in all this was a great purchase and highly recommended.

I've now received three electric bills and am even further pleased that there is very little impact from running this freezer.I'd now guess I'll being paying about $50/yr to run the freezer. Another neat thing is that when a bad storm tripped the reset outlet where the freezer is plugged in and I didn't know it for two days, the temp never rose above 21 degrees in the freezer and everything remained well preserved even with no power.When I went to put something in the freezer and saw the light was off, I knew right away what had happened.Another reason to have the interior light, because when the freezer is between cooling cycles, it's completely silent so the light is what tells you it's 'on'.I have a gauge clipped to the outside of the freezer with a probe that attaches inside and lets me see what the temperature is. It maintains a much more consistent temperature than my fridge freezer does.

This freezer does the trick; it freezes.I had to set it almost to the highest setting in order to get the temperature slightly below zero.The factory setting wasn't cold enough.Of course, I had to buy a thermometer in order to find out how cold it was getting inside. It's a little loud, so I am glad it's in our garage.I love the size though.We have a regular size two car garage, and there is plenty of room for it and both our cars.Realize when you order online,you will have to remove the freezer from the wood bolted on the bottom, and lift it off the pallet.You won't get the service you would from buying it from an appliance store.

We bought this based on good reviews. It was fine for 1 1/2 years when it stopped freezing. Not worth fixing for the price paid. We plan to avoid the Frigidaire brand completely now since a new refrigerator we bought recently for over $800 is having issues after only one month! Guess their products have really gone downhill.

I needed a moderate sized freezer with shelves so things didn't get burried in the bottom of the freezer well.This freezer has done a great job after three months and keeps everything rock hard.The shelving works great too and everything is easy to find.Why only four stars??Although I highly recommend it, you can hear it when the compressor kicks on (which is rare)but it is quiet enough that you can't hear it from the next room.I'm just nit picking, it is a great freezer.

By Friday I had the new one at my door, plugged it in & worked like a champ. That's why I love Amazon, quick, fast no BS, problem solved.

I bought this product based upon the reviews on this site. I can tell you, after having purchased it and followed the instructions regarding dosage, aeration, filtration, and cleaning that to date, the product does not work at all. My pond is still green as can be. This product appears to be nothing more than water with blue food coloring in it. Prior reviews must have been written by company spokespeople, because this product does not work as stated. I cannot tell any difference at all in the water purity. Please don't waste your money like I did.
