This refrigerator is so quiet I had to listen closely after it was installed to make sure it was running. I've had it for about 2 months now and the dealer told me that the older models had icemaker problems but Frigidaire recently changed the icemaker design. I have had no problems yet and have never run out of ice for a family of four. That was a big concern after reading reviews of all french door models that have the icemaker in the refrigerator section. Really like the no smudge stainless, it does not show fingerprints. If you are considering a Frigidaire french door be sure you get one with the new updated icemaker. This review is on the model FPHB2899LFA. I'm one happy camper with this purchase so far.

Purchased this refrigerator from Lowe's not Amazon Sept 2010 & have spent $600 over the past 5 months on ice maker related problems involving both ice makers. Today tech support at Frigidaire gave up & I was offered a 50% rebate if I wanted to purchase another similar $2,100 Frigidaire refrigerator. Let's look at the math: Original purchase $2,000 + $600 in repairs = cost of ownership of $2,600 for the 29 months before the unit was declared non-repairable.Now Frigidaire wants me to spend another $2,000 dollars on a similar unit & they will send me a 50% rebate after the fact. So now I would have another $1,000 invested in this refrigerator for a total of $3,600 for a $2,000 refrigerator. And if you look at other reviews the ice makers are a big problem as well as loud banging noises all problems that I have experienced. And once FrigidIre pronounced the unit non-repairable they did not offer to replace the unit. They want me to buy a similar unit that according to most reviews say the ice makers and the noise are a big problem. If you are smart buy another brand. Stay away from this high maintenance beast.

I bought this fridge Dec 30th 2010.5 different visits from a repair man during the first year.Now, the ice maker has stopped working and the freezer temp goes form its set zero to 15 degrees and back to zero.Does this often.

I purchased the Frigidaire refrigerator and was fairly pleased with it for the first year.After 14 months, the ice maker stopped working.It took an entire swap of the ice maker to get it working again at a cost of $220.I contacted Frigidaire to see if they would at least support this unit with parts, but their response was "you should have bought an extended warranty."Warning! If you buy a Frigidaire refrigerator, add the cost of the warranty that you'll need when the unit breaks.Other brands that I've owned have been much more forthcoming than this with helping repair the unit just out of warranty.

I bought this freezer / fridge three years ago and it was, quite frankly, life changing. That might sound like an over the top statement, but in my situation it's true. I drive tractor-trailer for living and in an attempt to keep expenses low, have always had a microwave and DC powered cooler in my truck. This allowed me to avoid eating in truck stops and restaurants and save a lot of money, but my menu was limited because I didn't have the ability to keep frozen food. The Waeco CF-50 (same thing as Dometic CF-50 by the way) has allowed me to greatly expand the variety of food I can keep in my truck.

This freezer has an adjustable temperature ranging from 50 degrees (not sure why you'd want 50 degree food) all the way down to 0 degrees F. It keeps everything from frozen diners to Ben & Jerry's ice cream nice and solid. It comes with handles that you need to attach yourself, but I opted to leave them off. I've got the biggest factory sleeper available on a Peterbilt, but in a truck every inch of space gained is valuable. Since the handles don't collapse when installed, they stick out and cause the freezer to take up an additional four to six inches of space.

My one gripe with the design of this freezer is that the lid is convex instead of flat. This probably won't be an issue for most people, but I have the freezer sitting on the floor of my sleeper berth and my microwave sitting in top of the freezer. This would be an easy arrangement if it weren't in a truck that averages 120,000 miles a year on the decaying roads of America. The convex design makes it very difficult to place anything on top of the freezer and hope it will stay for long once the vehicle is in motion. I've resolved the issue by strapping the microwave down, but still, having a flat surface to work with would make it easier.

Other than that one small gripe, I have nothing but kudos for this unit. It saves me money on the road and when I'm home, we take it out and use it as a spare fridge or freezer, especially around the holiday season... we found it will fit a 14 pound turkey and handle any ham.

Amazon prices can change hourly or daily. I don't know if I would pay the current price... these are available for $550 elsewhere at the time of this review. Obviously that's a decision that you, the shopper has to make, but if you have the need, definitely get one from somewhere 'cause you won't be disappointed.

I bought this LG washer on Feb. 28 from Home Depot. It was delivered later that week, and it has been DEFECTIVE from the beginning. When it entered the spin cycle, it shook so violently it jumped six inches across the floor! I called LG who sent a repairman. He said he thought the drum and suspension were broken, and he needed to order those parts. He came back this weekend with the parts and spent SIX HOURS taking the whole machine apart in my living room and putting in the new parts. IT STILL DOES NOT WORK! When I called LG again, I asked for a replacement machine. They said all they could do was send the repairman back again. I told them it was unacceptable, that I had paid close to $1000 for a brand-new machine, not a Frankenstein one of refurbished parts! They still refused. I have since found hundreds of consumer complaints on the web about LG washers. I wish I had read them before my purchase. So don't make my mistake DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHER!

The mechanic for my warranty has replaced all of the electronic parts on mine after four visits and I still can't get it to start. It has now been two months without running a single load. Now I find out that LG is "considering" replacing the whole unit, after 0 loads in two months? I had to call them with the mechanic to even have them consider going to this step after we pulled out the wiring, motherboards, noise filter, etc.Only after this step did LG consider replacement and I'm still waiting for them to call and confirm.If I could give a zero I would. There was no quality control on mine when it left the factory.And the customer service has been minimal if at all.They are still deciding if it should be replaced in their 72 hour "process", then they will call to setup a delivery (I've already taken four half-days off from work to meet the mechanic).Maybe by the 3rd month I'll be able to post a review about my first load of laundry.

I just spent $2000.00 on this washer and the matching dryer.$225.00 having them delivered, stacked and installed. The installers wanted to make sure the appliances were working right before they left.First time trying the new washer and it does not work.Someting about a defective valve. Have had this unit since 8-11. Due to its size, you must do smaller loads. Very quiet while in use. When setting-up, you must remove the "shipping lock-down bolts" to allow the drum to move freely. We have seen a vast difference in the amount of wear to light and delicate loads, vs our old top loader. This unit also uses so little water, that we have to make sure that we run our sink faucet for "hot water" wash, does great job even on cold water setting. You MUST use an "HE" type soap as this will keep down the suds. We recomend this unit for small spaces. The matching dryer can be stacked on top if you wish.

The locking mechanism used on the Samsung version of the filter is different, and this filter cannot be turned that 1/4 turn to lock in place. The model number on our fridge is RF268AB in case that helps anyone.

After much research and many, many reviews read, I chose the Filter ACE+ replacement for our Samsung refrigerator. Since our refrigerator is only a year old, this was the first replacement we needed to make and I was unsure about using a 'substitute' filter.The good news is that it took my husband seconds to install the filter and it works exactly as the original Samsung filter did. Since there is no indicator on the filter itself, we put the date of installation on it with a felt marker. Water filters are such a rip off, it was nice to find this guy on the market as a direct replacement for the OEM Samsung unit -And for almost HALF the price, I was willing to take a chance.

So, comparing side by side, these are not just relabeled Samsung filters. The case is clearly different, and there are less manufacture markings on the plastic.

The good:

No Chlorine Taste/Smell.

Water is Clear. (No sediment at the bottom of a glass after it has sat for 24 hours).

Installs perfectly.

The Odd:

Yes. Water pressure in increased. If you have an old/worn water dispenser this may not work out in your favor, and the increased pressure may cause vales to leak, or take longer to close.

More water pressure makes me think there is less filter material/carbon inside the filter. I'll update this review if it seems to not last as long.

For now, I'm sold. Money well saved.

P.s. If your fridge doesn't have a reminder system built in... Just remember to take a Sharpie and write the date on the filter.

Item arrived today and fully meets product description. I unpacked the fridge with my car keys in no more than five to ten minutes. Fridge was packed nicely with about an inch of bubble wrap on all sides (except for top opening). I plugged the fridge in and it immediately hummed to life. Humming noise is fairly low and is drowned out by the sound of air conditioning. Humming also comes along in bursts. It will hum for a bit, then stop. My A/C at work is fairly noisy, so I doubt that the fridge humming will ever become an issue. It appears that opening the fridge may trigger the humming noise if it was silent at the time of opening. In an hour, the fridge was already colder than a 1.7 cubic ft. fridge that one of my colleagues has. Although my expectations for a mini fridge are relatively low, I feel that this item was a good decision at the $135 price point. Perfect for sodas and small lunch ideas.

Update 5/15/2012: Fridge is working great and still looks nice and brand new. Humming noise is barely noticeable anymore. I use primarily for water/soda and fridge can have them fully chilled in under 2 hours.

Update 9/6/2012: Today the fridge no longer works. It worked great for a little over four months, but I expect more than that. It sat in an air conditioned office keeping beverages cool that's it. It was not treated roughly and displays no wear or tear. I'm no fridge expert, but it's clearly not pumping freon into the unit. A Haeir customer service rep stated that it is in the window of their exchange policy. This requires me to fill out a form (that they will send via email), send the form back to Haier, and then they will send me a new fridge. It is up to me to dispose of the non-working mini-fridge. Overall, not a very complicated exchange.

Update: 9/7/2012: Sent return form to Haier for replacement.

Update 9/24/2012: Haier called to inform me that they received my exchange request. However, this exact model is no longer in stock, but they will ship me a comparable model in its place. I should have the new fridge within the next 2 weeks. Other than the 30ish day turnaround, I have been overall pleased with Haier customer service.

I originally bought a Black & Decker 2.5 (which is made by Haier) and it was nothing more than a cooler. Dairy products went bad pretty quickly on high and sodas were cool, not cold. I stepped up to this 3.2 Haier and it is perfect. I actually have to turn down the temp because the cokes were started to ice up. There is a lot of room inside for my needs. The side door is very nicely laid out. I'm glad I took a chance on this after my bad experience with the smaller one. It is precisely what I was looking for.
