I bought this LG washer on Feb. 28 from Home Depot. It was delivered later that week, and it has been DEFECTIVE from the beginning. When it entered the spin cycle, it shook so violently it jumped six inches across the floor! I called LG who sent a repairman. He said he thought the drum and suspension were broken, and he needed to order those parts. He came back this weekend with the parts and spent SIX HOURS taking the whole machine apart in my living room and putting in the new parts. IT STILL DOES NOT WORK! When I called LG again, I asked for a replacement machine. They said all they could do was send the repairman back again. I told them it was unacceptable, that I had paid close to $1000 for a brand-new machine, not a Frankenstein one of refurbished parts! They still refused. I have since found hundreds of consumer complaints on the web about LG washers. I wish I had read them before my purchase. So don't make my mistake DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHER!

I purchased this washer on the assumption that LG provides quality appliances.Boy was I wrong.After spending about $1000 on the washer, and owning it for just over a year, it failed.The electric board and the motor were faulty and needed to be replaced.LG referred me to a technician who was great, and fixed it, but LG wouldn't offer and assistance.The fix costed quite a bit of money, and for a single guy who doesn't do a ton of laundry, I couldn't believe they wouldn't extend the warranty for me.Poor quality product, and poor customer service.

The mechanic for my warranty has replaced all of the electronic parts on mine after four visits and I still can't get it to start. It has now been two months without running a single load. Now I find out that LG is "considering" replacing the whole unit, after 0 loads in two months? I had to call them with the mechanic to even have them consider going to this step after we pulled out the wiring, motherboards, noise filter, etc.Only after this step did LG consider replacement and I'm still waiting for them to call and confirm.If I could give a zero I would. There was no quality control on mine when it left the factory.And the customer service has been minimal if at all.They are still deciding if it should be replaced in their 72 hour "process", then they will call to setup a delivery (I've already taken four half-days off from work to meet the mechanic).Maybe by the 3rd month I'll be able to post a review about my first load of laundry.

I just spent $2000.00 on this washer and the matching dryer.$225.00 having them delivered, stacked and installed. The installers wanted to make sure the appliances were working right before they left.First time trying the new washer and it does not work.Someting about a defective valve. The washer is defective and needs to be repaired.Thanks LG for sending a defective appliance! Greatquality control.

Have had this unit since 8-11. Due to its size, you must do smaller loads. Very quiet while in use. When setting-up, you must remove the "shipping lock-down bolts" to allow the drum to move freely. We have seen a vast difference in the amount of wear to light and delicate loads, vs our old top loader. This unit also uses so little water, that we have to make sure that we run our sink faucet for "hot water" wash, does great job even on cold water setting. You MUST use an "HE" type soap as this will keep down the suds. We recomend this unit for small spaces. The matching dryer can be stacked on top if you wish.
