I ordered this part to replace the ice-maker in my Samsung RS2530BBP refrigerator.The original ice-maker wouldn't drop the ice after freezing.It appeared to have a bad thermistor in the tray which wouldn't detect that the ice had frozen.The thermistor is apparently not available for purchase as a separate part.The new assembly shipped quickly, but I discovered the plastic housing assembly was wrong.The mounting points on the new part were "stepped" one one side where my original housing was flat.I was able to take the "guts" out of the new part and re-use my original plastic housing.Everything worked, but switching out the housing shouldn't have been necessary (hence the 4-star rating).

This fridge isgreat for the money. It works great. Had mine for several months with no issues. The last review is ridiculous. Can you hear it run? Yes of course. It is about half the volume of a computer fan. Unless your sitting next to it you can't hear it. Saying it's louder than a full sized fridge is exaggeration at it's best.

I purchased one of these over a month ago and even with the temp at factory setting of 54, it would not cool down below 61 after letting it run for 2 days. Amazon sent me a replacement unit pretty quickly, however, I had the same problem again. I decided to send it back for a refund and not touch this make & model again.

The inner fan is loud and runs non stop.I called the help line to see if this was the norm or if I had a bad unit and I was quickly told that's how they are supposed to be.Based on her quick response I said you must get this complaint a lot.She agreed and said government regulations force them to be made that way.This little cooler is louder than our two full fridges, our mini fridge, and our chest freezer combined.

It is what it says it is.Easy to install.But it just sits there doing... who knows what?Prior refrigerators didn't have such a filter and I didn't see the need.Well, ok, if you let the ice in the container get old, it would develop a bad taste presumably from odors.Didn't have that problem before nor with the new fridge and this filter.Maybe I'll just use this one until my nose tells me I need a new one.

I bought this because the one in my Kenmore side by side was bad. The shaft on this one is shorter but still works just fine. I just had to make sure the fan wasn't rubbing when it spun. I tweaked the bracket a touch so it wouldn't and all was good. This replacement one worked for a couple days and then went out too. Or so I thought. Turned out the defrost timer went out after I put the new fan in. I didn't figure that out until I had returned 2 of these for replacement. Turns out it is extremely common for the thermostat, fan and defrost timer go out. If you think your fridge is special because it's a certain brand (which I did), it turns out it's not. Most of these parts are interchangeable. Do some checking and save yourself a lot of money!

So if you think your fan is what's going out make sure your defrost timer and thermostat aren't whats at fault. You can check youtube for how to test the thermostat and defrost timer. It's ridiculously easy. You just need a multi-meter. I had power going to the fan and a good ground and the fan wasn't going so I figured it had to be the fan. If you have the same results still test the thermostat and defrost timer. It will save you a big headache and time. I replaced both of them also and it was under $30 for both with PRIME. Wish I would of done it all in the beginning.

So with that said the seller was great and I was sent replacements with no problem at all. In fact they were sent out the same day I requested them.

I bought this LG washer on Feb. 28 from Home Depot. It was delivered later that week, and it has been DEFECTIVE from the beginning. When it entered the spin cycle, it shook so violently it jumped six inches across the floor! I called LG who sent a repairman. He said he thought the drum and suspension were broken, and he needed to order those parts. He came back this weekend with the parts and spent SIX HOURS taking the whole machine apart in my living room and putting in the new parts. IT STILL DOES NOT WORK! When I called LG again, I asked for a replacement machine. They said all they could do was send the repairman back again. I told them it was unacceptable, that I had paid close to $1000 for a brand-new machine, not a Frankenstein one of refurbished parts! They still refused. I have since found hundreds of consumer complaints on the web about LG washers. I wish I had read them before my purchase. So don't make my mistake DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHER!

I purchased this washer on the assumption that LG provides quality appliances.Boy was I wrong.After spending about $1000 on the washer, and owning it for just over a year, it failed.The electric board and the motor were faulty and needed to be replaced.LG referred me to a technician who was great, and fixed it, but LG wouldn't offer and assistance.The fix costed quite a bit of money, and for a single guy who doesn't do a ton of laundry, I couldn't believe they wouldn't extend the warranty for me.Poor quality product, and poor customer service.

The mechanic for my warranty has replaced all of the electronic parts on mine after four visits and I still can't get it to start. It has now been two months without running a single load. Now I find out that LG is "considering" replacing the whole unit, after 0 loads in two months? I had to call them with the mechanic to even have them consider going to this step after we pulled out the wiring, motherboards, noise filter, etc.Only after this step did LG consider replacement and I'm still waiting for them to call and confirm.If I could give a zero I would. There was no quality control on mine when it left the factory.And the customer service has been minimal if at all.They are still deciding if it should be replaced in their 72 hour "process", then they will call to setup a delivery (I've already taken four half-days off from work to meet the mechanic).Maybe by the 3rd month I'll be able to post a review about my first load of laundry.

I just spent $2000.00 on this washer and the matching dryer.$225.00 having them delivered, stacked and installed. The installers wanted to make sure the appliances were working right before they left.First time trying the new washer and it does not work.Someting about a defective valve. Have had this unit since 8-11. Due to its size, you must do smaller loads. Very quiet while in use. When setting-up, you must remove the "shipping lock-down bolts" to allow the drum to move freely. We have seen a vast difference in the amount of wear to light and delicate loads, vs our old top loader. This unit also uses so little water, that we have to make sure that we run our sink faucet for "hot water" wash, does great job even on cold water setting. You MUST use an "HE" type soap as this will keep down the suds. We recomend this unit for small spaces. The matching dryer can be stacked on top if you wish.

But I'm disappointed that the refrigerator was nothing more than a plain white counter top refrigerator with nothing more than a sticker on it.If you buy this, make sure to get at least one self adhesive furniture pad... you'll need it to level out the front left leg.Come on, for this price, I could have bought half of a full-sized stainless steel model.

I purchased this fridge for my office, and generally I would say that I'm pleased with it. It looks good, however I wish that it was a traditional key lock, and not just a turning mechanism that brings down a small metal pin at the base of the fridge. The fridge also does not get super cold, but the cold temp it delivers is adequate, overall not a bad purchase.

Item was in horrible condition when I received it. The thermostat was completely torn off the side wall and the plastic piece that held it there was snapped in half. The door fell off because the hinges were bent. The balance peg was snapped off the bottom and one of the corners at the top was crushed in.

On a positive note, the packaging was in perfect condition!

This item was an exact replacement for my Kenmore side by side unit. I had to remove the lower screw completely, and loosen the two upper screws to begin to remove the unit. The tricky part was unplugging the existing wiring harness from the rear of the unit, without really being able to see what I was doing-the harness is very short. I finally got the old one out, and installed the new one. I made sure the wire bail was down, and left it in overnight. The next morning I could tell the unit had not cycled. I contacted the sellers customer service by email for suggestions. He quickly advised me to check the freezer temperature, and leave the new unit in for 24 full hours. I did check the freezer temp, and it was about 17 F. I lowered the freezer thermostat one setting, and within one hour, the unit cycled and was making ice, and has been ever since. Many of the newer icemakers have thermostats that are set colder than earlier models. Make sure that your freezer is 10 F or cooler, before giving up on the product. That tip saved the seller a return, and me a bunch of hassle.

Sure refrigerator repairs are irritating.But if this icemaker fits your model, the cost and hassle are pretty much over.

And considering your icemaker works 24/7, a new one every 3 or 4 years is no big deal.Think of it like tires and brakes...

I swapped out the old tube inlet bracket and the dispenser bin wire arm from the original to make the repair more OEM, and every thing else was easy.A few screws, a wire plug in and it was making ice like brand new.And the cost was a lot less than other parts houses anywhere.
