I've never installed one of these, but have been using it now for over 8 years and its still going strong.My 4 year old poured pebbles down the sink and I was shopping for a new one.Found the manual, able to clear the pebbles.Up and running again!Working great!Would have replaced with the same model as before.

Like the previous reviewer, I worked for about four hours on installing this thing, cursing the engineers, etc., until I figured out that I had the rubber gasket ring installed incorrectly.You have to install the gasket so it barely hangs on to the bottom of the sink mount.If you can see the plastic bottom of the sink mount and not rubber covering the bottom, you've got it installed wrong and you'll have a heck of a time.If there's anyone that deserves to suffer (and it shouldn't be the customer!), it's whoever wrote the manual and did not specify this, because it's an easy detail to miss.Otherwise, it's a pretty standard disposal.Nothing fancy.

I bought the 3/4 horsepower, but the installation is the same.I have installed 4 during the past 20 years as a homeowner.However, I gave up on this one.The rubber cussion mount would not fit into the mounting ring.I even resorted to my car jack to put it in place.I bougt it to avoid using plumber putty. Terrible decision.It went back to the store after 4 hours (i am very stubborn).I put an In Sink Arator in in about 20 minutes.

First let me say I have NEVER replaced a disposer before and I have very limited "handy man" skills. I decided to try to replace my old unit because I am cheap and didn't want to pay someone. I bought the GE disposer because it was recommended by Consumer Reports. I found this unit on sale for under $50 and it seemed like a straight forward install. I got the old unit out with some help from the internet and then started the install. The installation was sooooo easy it took me about 25 minutes to completely install it. Yes the rubber gasket needs to be installed with a lip below the unit but that is what the instructions tell you to do. I followed the instructions and had absolutely NO problems installing it with no leaks. Great unit and though others have said it is loud it is actually quieter than my old ISE. If you feel that this install might be to much for you, don't worry, it's not.

I read the other review on the site for this product and I think the guy had the ring installed wrong.Installation was very quick and painless and it fit the existing piping quite well.

The electrical connection was straightforward.

The constructions seems decent.

It is a little louder than I would have liked, but for a cheaper disposal, it isn't bad.

I ordered this part to replace the ice-maker in my Samsung RS2530BBP refrigerator.The original ice-maker wouldn't drop the ice after freezing.It appeared to have a bad thermistor in the tray which wouldn't detect that the ice had frozen.The thermistor is apparently not available for purchase as a separate part.The new assembly shipped quickly, but I discovered the plastic housing assembly was wrong.The mounting points on the new part were "stepped" one one side where my original housing was flat.I was able to take the "guts" out of the new part and re-use my original plastic housing.Everything worked, but switching out the housing shouldn't have been necessary (hence the 4-star rating).

I bought this because the one in my Kenmore side by side was bad. The shaft on this one is shorter but still works just fine. I just had to make sure the fan wasn't rubbing when it spun. I tweaked the bracket a touch so it wouldn't and all was good. This replacement one worked for a couple days and then went out too. Or so I thought. Turned out the defrost timer went out after I put the new fan in. I didn't figure that out until I had returned 2 of these for replacement. Turns out it is extremely common for the thermostat, fan and defrost timer go out. If you think your fridge is special because it's a certain brand (which I did), it turns out it's not. Most of these parts are interchangeable. Do some checking and save yourself a lot of money!

So if you think your fan is what's going out make sure your defrost timer and thermostat aren't whats at fault. You can check youtube for how to test the thermostat and defrost timer. It's ridiculously easy. You just need a multi-meter. I had power going to the fan and a good ground and the fan wasn't going so I figured it had to be the fan. If you have the same results still test the thermostat and defrost timer. It will save you a big headache and time. I replaced both of them also and it was under $30 for both with PRIME. Wish I would of done it all in the beginning.

So with that said the seller was great and I was sent replacements with no problem at all. In fact they were sent out the same day I requested them.

Finally a vibration pad that has a recess for the feet so it stays put and is stiff enough not to deform. It doesn't eliminate all the noise or vibration but it is a significant improvement for a very reasonable price. Well worth it.

It's now 9 months since we bought these for our neighbour above us. The neighbour is still very happy with less vibration in his own unit and my wife now continues to sleep through the odd hours that the neighbour chooses to do their laundry. I purchased these because I have an LG front loader that sits on a second floor with wood floors and also sits in a white plastic floor protector. The washing machine would jump all around and vibrate like crazy. We never had this problem in our previous home. I worked multiple times trying to level the washer, but it would never really help. I saw the competitor product that was twice as much, and I wasn't sure if it would work. When I saw these for half the price, I decided to give them a try. The rubber pads work really well. I wished these worked, but they made shaking and vibrating worse at our place.We have new (2012) Frigidaire Affinity front loader stacked washer and dryer.We bought these pads when we installed new porcelain floors.We wanted to reduce the amount of vibrating and wobbling during the spin cycle and protect any chance of damage to the new floors.Unfortunately, the Vibe Away pads made the vibrating, shaking and noise during the spin cycle much worse.We keep a few items on top of the washer and there is always some vibrating, but with the pads added, things we keep on top of the dryer were actually falling off.

I even called the offices in New Jersey for ideas.They were as surprised as we were that the pads weren't helping.Their best recommendation was that the washer feet were off center in the pads.We adjusted to make sure they were centered, but it made no difference. I'm sorry to give the product low stars, but they simply didn't work for us.

I have a top loader that likes to roam around the laundry room. These recycled rubber hockey pucks are cheap and stopped my washers inability to remain in one place.
