I suppose it's too much to expect that a cross-referenced part number would actually be an exact replacement on a 15-yr-old refrigerator. As it turned out, I had to drill new holes in the old sheet metal to mount the thing because its footprint was slightly different. Once that was done, it worked fine and fixed the problem. I was impressed with the excellent service from the vendor.

I spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting my icemaker before I finally concluded that the water valve was the problem. The original valve worked, but was not letting enough water into the icemaker tray and thus I was getting miniature ice cubes. I ordered this replacement and it fit perfectly even thought it was slightly different than the original. Now I have regular-sized ice cubes.
