I was not sure how this filter would work for me since i had a GE one that came with the fridge. I followed the instructions on the soaking and letting the water run through it and it works just like the GE one. I have not experienced any after taste. The only hurdle i had, was that i needed to apply additional force to insert it into the fridgei knew that but did not think too much of it untill i had to do it. I will be buying the combo packs next time since it is economical. I also like that it comes from Canada, for once there is something that does not come from China.

I had my water tested and the filter did not remove any chlorine, ammonia,or particles from the water.You are basically drinking tap water.Highly disappointed.

quick delivery. I soaked it and ran water through as instructed but for the first week or so it still tasted like tap water. It is better now.

Water flow seems to be a tad better with this than the GE one I was using before (that may just be in my head).The water tastes great, and it comes from Canada, so I actually trust that it's filtering as labeled.Will definitely buy again.
