It is unfortunate when your favorite kitchen gadget stops working.However, I can't complain when I get a refund on the purchase price of the item.I bought a Square Trade warranty for my Zojirushi Bread Maker.It was an expensive item $148.00 before shipping and tax and I decided it was worth $20.00 to give myself an additional 3 years beyond the manufacturer's warranty.Square Trade really has their act together.I received a response to my email claim in less than 24 hours.The website is very user friendly.You can upload your receipts for the items you purchase.The process is very streamlined.My item could not be repaired and I was given several pay out payment options, which was very cool.I could have chosen an option to get an Amazon credit and I would have gotten an additional 5% added to my pay out.I decided on a PayPal option and the money was in my account in 24 hours.I am very pleased with this company.Extended warranty companies have gotten bad press for years.This company is far and above the other companies and should not be lumped in with the others.The documentation is very clear on what will and will not be covered.There are no surprises.They run specials all the time so you can always get a warranty at a discounted price.I have purchased warranties from Square Trade for several of my electronic items and highly recommend that you consider adding a warranty to any of your electronic gadgets you purchase in the future.

I have had 4 products protected with their warranty and

had two claims, one a dehumidifier and the other a Canon copier,

they refunded the price paid for both without any problem

or complicated paper work. They did what they said they

would do, excellent company.

I have purchased many products, with extended warranties, from them. ***This was my first claim***, on a convection oven, purchased on 05/30/2010. I completed the claim form online in a couple of minutes & received a postage paid label in my email. Hassle-free drop-off at UPS on 12/27/2011. Excellent customer support by Joe at SquareTrade. My Amazon account was credited. I received my new replacement oven with another 3-year warranty from SquareTrade, yesterday, on 12/30/2011. Just in time for New Year's Eve.

I haven't had to use my warranty, yet.I received everything I needed via e-mail, and someone from customer service called to ask if I had any questions and to explain everything to me.The were very friendly courteous and friendly, making me feel good about my warranty purchase.The price I paid for the warranty was also a big plus.

It is true that I was not given a hassle for my claim, but no one showed up for the repair appointment (4-hr window) of my dishwasher.When I called square trade they told me no one was home when the technician showed up and then simply gave me the phone number for the technician.I got his voicemail and left a message.I didn't get a call back until four days later and was told by the technician that square trade never made the appointment.In the meantime I read the reviews for the repairman they used.His reviews were horrendous.I was told that day that a manager from square trade would call me.That was five days ago and I'm still waiting for Enrique's call.He's apparently the only manager there who can help me so i call square trade every day and am told each day that Enrique will call me before the end of the day and he never does.I'm still waiting...Square trade is pricey and they use poor technicians.I would steer clear of them in the future.
