We've had ours for 6 months and my wife loves it. However, you have to make sure it's cooling properly, especially, due to its large size. I have a mercury "refrigerator" thermometer on the right inside door and have to set the fridge at 33 degrees in order to get the temp, on the door, within the Safe Zone of under 40 degrees. I keep my Miracle Whip and the wife keeps her mayonnaise on this same door with the milk. Therefore, the temperature on the door is important. I have the freezer set at 0 degrees. I had a Sears tech come out but he used a black and yellow digital (red beam laser) thermometer which, btw, are not as accurate as the mercury thermometer I have. He thought there wasn't a temp problem. Plus, the tech thought that since it was digital that his laser thermometer didn't need calibrating. Actually, he thought that it was a strange question for me to ask, however, if you check these out, here on Amazon, you will see that they do need calibrating and aren't all that precise. They are good for general in-the-ballpark use to check if your car or truck engine is within safe temp limits. BTW, the ice maker is very small (half the size of the one on my old side-by-side fridge) and is mounted on the other door and not on the door of the freezer since this is a French Door and not a Side-by-Side fridge. Therefore, if the temp on the that door is too high the ice cubes will melt together, the ice cubes will not eject nor grind up for crushed, and you will have to dump the ice. Plus, you will not be able to use the Energy Saver feature because this will increase the temp on the doors by several degrees and this will put you outside of the Safe Temperature Zone of 40 degrees or less. I try to maintain 38 degrees on the door by setting it at 33 degrees. With discounts and promotions we paid about $2,000 for the white model. I do like the fact that the compressor has a unique design and has a 10 year warranty, but we bought the extended warranty as well. It's really too bad that with all of this technology they can't monitor all of the temperature zones and show you the actual temperatures versus those set.
