This is the worst refrigerator I've ever purchased -and it's all because of the icemaker. It's been repaired 7 times in the last 2 years thanks to having purchased an extended warranty. Predictably every 6 months, the icemaker stops functioning. There's a piece that jams. The repairmen are at a loss. I give up -this weekend, I'm headed to my appliance shop and buying something different. Don't waste your money on this piece of junk.
This model is similar to one we purchased two years ago.We had problems with water leaking from the door from the start, but an independant repairman was able to fix that with teflon tape.Maytag told us to just flush the system again and again.Now the fridge runs, but does not cool.The repairman says it will be $700 to fix, but that no Maytag is worth that.He says it will be nothing but trouble and we're better off buying a Kitchenaide and accepting our losses.Over 2000 down the tubes!But at least were free of the repair bills.

Have had mine for a year without any problems.Is quiet, convenient, and everything I had hoped for!The water filter light just came on; much less frequent than my old fridge.
