Had I known that, I would have purchased elsewhere as I could have purchased an after market unit for less. This selling practice is not acceptable and I feel confident that Amazon is not aware of it.

As noted by another purchaser, this is not a Whirlpool product as advertised.It is made by Supco.False advertising!Even though it has the model number required by our refridgerator, it did not work...would not trigger water flow. Should have looked at the previous comment before buying this product.Being returned.

This is not OEM part and I really thought it was from reading the seller's description. It's a little misleading if you ask me.
