We replaced our 6-year old Kitchenaid washer about two weeks ago with this machine as, even though still working, the Kitchenaid was giving my wife fits because it would stop in the middle of a cycle and because the agitator would totally twist laundry, particularly sheets, into a messy wad.Our new Maytag runs beautifully, the clothes actually come out significantly cleaner and not at all wadded, since there is no agitator.Also, the spin cycle removes more moistrure so we save time and energy in the dryer.It is also quieter.All the different settings we've tried so far have done a gret job. Caution: follow the directions exactly as given with respect to loading and with respect to the amount (small) of detergent, otherwise you might experience the kind of trouble reviewers on other sites have had.So far, my wife loves the machine.
