Wine Enthusiast Silent 12 Bottle 2-Temp Touchscreen Wine Refrigerator

I bought this unit in early January. It arrived quickly and looks great. This thing is bigger than you might think--being just a 12 bottle unit.It is also heavy, so moving it around isn't easy.It is well packed but that makes the box bulky--hard to handle by yourself. My unit started working fine, then went through a week of throwing display fits--lighting up all elements.Had to guess at temperature settings. It also would periodically BEEP for no good reason, sometimes sounding like the roadrunner. However, after a week or so of that, it has returned to normal operation.Having discarded the carton and considering the hassle, I would not have sent it back regardless (and it has always cooled).Oh--it is also not quite as 'silent' as described--at least not if you are sitting anywhere near.I ended up moving it away from my living areas.

I bought this because it was exactly the size I wanted and it had a dual zone temp control. However, if I put more than two bottles in one side, it won't cool lower than 56 degrees on that side, no matter how long I leave it closed.I am going to return it.

I bought this at the end of last summer because it fit perfectly on a counter space below another shelf in my kitchen, and the price was great. Looks elegant and runs pretty quietly. Sometimes the temperature dial stops responding, but I've found unplugging and resetting the unit can get that back. However, after about 7 months the right side stopped cooling, so I now only have a 6 bottle cooler :(

I'd suggest spending more for a better quality unit (I wish I had.)

The wine cooler works exactly as advertised. It maintains the desired temperatures to plus/minus 1 degree F.No problem in maintaining 62 F/48 F in the two sides of the fridge.Noise level is just barely audible if I am standing next to it.So far, the fridge holds all 750 ml wine bottles I have put in, even some slightly unusual shapes. It's pretty light for the capacity.Highly recommended.

Water Sentinel WSF-2 Replacement Fridge Filter, 6 PACK, Fits Frigidaire WF1CB

We moved into a new home which has a 9 yr-old fridge and needed replacement filters. The price on these was great, shipped fast and all of the filters were factory sealed. That being said, after installing the first filter and using it for about a week we noticed something definitely didn't taste right about the water.I took out the filter, which had developed a dime sized rust-looking spot on it (on the outer white mesh).I replaced it with another one of the filters, and we already can taste a difference. So it appears we had a "dud" filter and not sure how many of the remaining ones could be the same..I'm still rating this 3 stars due to the price/quantity and fast shipping.Even if we only get 1-2 good filters, it's still cheaper than one retail filter at Lowes or Home Depot.

I bought a 6 pack of these Frigidaire water filters so I would have enough to last 2-3 years.

They can be used for approximately 6 months before needed replacement. I did notice that the

filters really should be changed maybe around 4-5 months instead. The signs of it needed changing

is when the water flow seems slower and the stream is not as forceful as normal. They are very

easy to remove and replace in my Frigidaire side by side. When I saw how much Lowes wanted for

the same filters, I decided to purchase these on Amazon from a trusted seller.

I highly recommend these filters for general water filtering.

If you want a special filter that removes all chemicals including Fluorine, be prepared to

spend a lot more.

We have a residential refrigerator with water on the front in an office of about 15 people. The water and ice get used heavily. Originally, we were waiting for the "Filter" warning to come on before changing it and were buying the filters retail. Those were incredibly expensive, plus the water always started tasting bad long before the light came on. We'd also have issues where the flow would get weaker and weaker.

After a bit of research, it became clear that due to our volume, we need to be changing the filter more often. Since I ordered a six-pack of these filters, I have been changing it every two months. That works perfectly...the reminder comes up on my calendar just as I'm starting to taste a decrease in water quality.

To be clear, I am NOT saying that these filters won't last 6-months in a normal, home kitchen environment. They just don't for our office since we probably filter more water in a day than would be used in a week at home.

After a lot of trial and error, my opinion is that you should change the filter when the water starts to takes less pure and/or the flow is significantly decreased.

These filters work great and the cost makes more frequent changing of them affordable.

It is what it is, great shipping undamaged in origanal package. If you want a good water filter for the price this is the place to get it.

It is difficult to say how well the product works.I am not a chemist, but it does seem to make the water purer, and the ice cubes come out clear.

NFL Washington Redskins Counter Top Refrigerator

NFL Washington Redskins Counter Top RefrigeratorI really like the product. It was everything that I expected from the pictures and information provided. And I was glad to finally get it because when I first ordered it and it was shipped out it got "lost" at one of the shipping stops so I had to contact Fed Ex and they put a trace on it but never located it so I then had to contact Amazon and they ended up having to reorder it but they were out of stock so I did not receive it when I initially wanted it but they did eventually get another in stock and shipped it out and it was sent with no problems because they did a two day ship. The only other issue I have is that the frige is covered with stickers for the Redskins logos and when I took it out of the packaging down the back left side of the frige the sticker was pulled away and caught on the plastic. I tried to stick it back and it worked somewhat but there was a few little tear spots in the sticker so I was very dissapointed in that. :-( But I finally have it and can finally give it as the gift I intended all along.

I have had a horrible experience with this washer/dryer. It is less than 6 months old and I have had the repairman out twice. It has torn clothes and ratted up my brand new towels. Most of the time, it doesn't feel like working. Sometimes it goes off balance where there are only 4 towels in the load (don't even THINK of trying to do more than that if you want the cycle to finish!). Sometimes it gets stuck on the rinse cycle for an hour and a half. Sometimes it takes over 2 hours to wash one load of clothes. Not to mention, it is a major energy hog. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, even if it were free.

  • Dimensions (WHD): 35 3/4" X 68 5/8" X 29 5/8"

We have had this refrigerator for over a year now and have found it to be okay as a refrigerator, but there are some design choices Samsung made which detract seriously from this fridge.First, the icemaker. The whole system is a mess. You cannot go in the freezer and get some ice out of the bin as we could in previous fridges. This means to put ice in a small mouth container we usually have to use a cup and transfer the cubes.

A bigger issue is the ice dispenser itself.Every time we use it chips of ice, some quite large, spew out from around the top of the glass and shower on the floor. There are always little puddles of water on our floor, and eventually it will damage the polyurethane coating. We are also now experiencing a more concerning issue. The ice outlet gets jammed and the motorized drive which moves the ice out gets stuck on.When this happens, the only way we have found to resolve the issue is the remove the ice bin, empty and rinse out all the little chunks of ice stuck in the outlet, and then put the empty bucket back in.This has happened several times, once when one of our kids was home by herself and the motor was stuck on for 10-15 minutes while she tried to reach us on the phone to ask what to do.

I also am concerned about the longevity of this fridge due to the flimsy nature of the plastic which lines the insider of the refrigerator side. When moving one of the shelves it went in at too much of an angle to slide in and the molded plastic shelf channel just buckled inward.Very little force was applied, this is not reasonable. We have also had the defroster in the freezer freeze over requiring a full defrost, but I think this is because we had some plastic bags covering some of the inlets.

In all, I would not recommend this refrigerator, there are other options at the same price point which might not have the same icemaker issues

Been thru 7, yes 7, Samsung Fridges since May. Not one has lasted. Started out low with the R26 side by side. 1 DOA and 1 died in 6 days. Moved up to RG side by side. It lasted 3 weeks before dying. Upgraded to the French Door AERS. It lasted about 4 weeks. Next was the HARS. It too lasted about 4 weeks before a myriad of issues reared their ugly heads.

At this point, I should have simply walked away from samsung but then my retailer offered me a great deal on the ABBP model with the duel ice makers (black color)for very cheap..couldnt resist the price...big mistake.....it died...well, lets just say it was DOA as it started cooling but never stopped. Would not defrost so it first froze everything in my FRIDGE section, before the compressor died that night, waking me to spoiled food, lots of water in the fridge, freezer, kitchen floor, which was quite a chore to clean up (some previous models had similar issue)....then they swapped that out for the ABRS (same fridge with dual ice makers, but in stainless instead of black)..It actually lasted until 2 weeks ago when the 1st issue arose and over the past 2 weeks, the issues have gotten continually worse. Left me no choice.....Went back to retailer and told them to take back their lemon samsung. The entire samsung lineup is a lemon line if I ever saw one. I've had plenty of fridges in my life and have never had any issues. My last fridge was fine...it was 10 years old...still working great...But it developed a small crack in the defrost pan that holds the water after defrosting. Not bad, but it would leak a few drops on to the floor. Repair guy said everything on unit was working great, other then the leak...advided it would cost about $200 to fix the pan.....wasnt sure if I wanted to put $200 in to a 10 year old fridge or put that $$ towards a new fridge. Decided to go with a new one. Wished I hadn't as the past 7 months has been a nightmare due to these LEMON SAMSUNGS.

Now awaiting a whirlpool and hope I have better luck, but regadless, I would not wish ANY SAMSUNG MODEL ON MY WORST ENEMY...RUN, DONT WALK..AWAY FROM ANY SAMSUNG. Dont let the sleek looks, tons of features at such a great price sucker you in to buying this LEMON LINE. And SHAME ON YOU JD POWERS!! People think your ratings are unbiased and many buy based on your rec's...YET YOU WERE PAID TO RATE SAMSUNG #1!!!! WHEN IN FACT, THERE ARE MORE CONSUMER COMPLAINTS FILED AGAINST SAMSUNG THEN ANY OTHER BRAND!!!!

I have had mine for 1.5 years and it has worked flawlessly... Like one reviewer stated here, initially when I got mine the product temp (ie a glass of water) was a bit high around 40 in fridge....I measured it carefully....as it turns out the installer didnt set the bar for the freezer at 5 bars (which can affect initial cooling of refrigerator as it is not a dual compressor design). The normal setting as buried in the manual is 5 bars for freezer and 4 bars for fridge....once that was set and left alone for a couple days temps started getting nice and cold. Subsequent power loss and cooling was much faster so I would guess a break-in period of 24 hours was needed...and makes sense, the manual does state it takes at least that for initial setup. The freezer is powerful and amazing at the 5 bar setting....sub zero, with trips as low as -15F (air temp) and then of course you have your normal defrost cycles that increase that temp for a short period as high as 20+ degrees....so you have to log the temp over time to better understand the cycles when looking at the freezer temps. My refrigerator can go near 32 air temp but hovers around 36 or so...(it didnt at first). Also note that the fridge and freezer must be loaded a bit to add mass to the system.... air temp and product temps are not going to be equal...I measured water with a wireless probe inside the refrigerator part to simulate product temp.. and of course I wanted to know what the air temp was doing as well... Its been great, I make ice cream alot and I wanted a good freezer, got it and more. I accidentally left my freezer door ajar and didnt hear the alarm (my only suggestion for improvement is a louder and constant alarm) and it partially defrosted some food...closing the door and hitting power freeze mode took care of that blunder and saved the day. Hope this helps...

I have several Samsung Electronics and never had a problem until I bought this refrigerator. This fridge is awful and I wish I had a way of knowing exactly what it would be like living with it before purchasing.

Issue Number ONE: Doesnt get very cold. If I pour a glass of milk, it's not very cold like it was from my old fridge. After testing the temperature, it hovered around the 40 degree mark but wasn't consistent throughout the fridge. The freezer seems better

Issue TWO: it's very noisy. I am typically sitting at the table working and hear it more than most, but it is loud and growling much of the time. I suspect it's the icemaker or water compartment filling up, but my old fridge had the same features and never sounded so loud and gastrointestinal!

Issue three: The lighting in this fridge is awful. It does not light up all the shelves and it only lights up the top portion of the fridge. Add food the the shelves and it's actually dark in there. I hate the lighting..it's almost depressing to be honest. Most fridges now come with LED lighting, but knowing it's not as bright as incandescent should mean using more lights.. you'll see what I mean when you shop for your new fridge

Issue Three: The icemaker is not good. If you switch from crushed to cubed, it sticks on crushed and spits out shards of ice all over the place. The container for the ice is small, so if you entertain or really use a lot of ice, this isn't for you.

Issue Four: The shelves are inadequate and are hard to clean

I hope this helps

After looking at a number of brands and models of refrigerators, we settled on the Samsung RS261MD in stainless. We liked the overall look, interior arrangement, fit and finish, and the fact that the side was painted a neutral grey, rather than black (personal preference). It is also rated as very energy efficient and priced competively. We knew we were making a couple of compromises and a some other issues came up after we had it in our home. These are:

o LED lighting Energy efficient and looks cool.On a pricier Samsung model there were more lights. We found after it was fully loaded this fridge does not really have enough to fully light the interior of the fridge side as well as it should.Freezer seems better.

o Ice Maker/water Like most new refrigerators, all of the controls are contained in an electronic pad on the front of the fridge, integrated with the temperature controls.Had to read the instructions (difficult for a man) to figure everything out. We had a temporary scare with getting ice through the door, as you have to push much harder than we expected to get ice to come out, hard enough that our young kids struggle with it a little.I miss the simplicity of the manual controls we had before and hope the components hold up to the test of time. Having just a single opening for both water and ice means we have to push buttons to get water and ice, maybe a minor point, but all the button pushing will put miles on the electronics fast.

o Shelves There is only a minimal ability to set the vertical distance between shelves, something we are already seeing as an issue.Probably pretty minor, but we are having to rethink how we store things as we don't have the flexibilty to do what we want. The thin materials which make up the fixed ledges on which the shelves rest are a concern, they were slightly crushed during shipment for one set we have to use. On the upside, the icemaker arrangement leaves a nice space for large flat things like frozen pizzas, which were always a challenge before.

o Water filter The water filter is inside the refrigerator compartment and takes away some space from the lower drawer. No big deal, but every inch counts in our house.

o Labels This is a nitpick, but all the labels and tape which came attached to the inside and outside of the refrigerator left residue which was a pain to get off.The one on the outside just would not come off without scraping, something you don't really want to do on a shiny new appliance.

Right now, I say we are satisfied, but with some long-term concerns.

The primary reason I bought this item from this vendor was that was advertised as a Whirlpool part SEVEN times in the ad:"Whirlpool 2198282 Thermostat for Refrigerator by Whirlpool", repeated this two more times, and then said "Genuine Whirlpool Replacement Part".

In fact, the package in which it came says, "ERP exact replacement parts, ER 2198282 Cold Control".

My refrigerator was 48 degrees, I had to do something, so I carefully installed this ERP part following a step by step video found elsewhere on the net.I set the control on 3, the mid way point and was pleased that it cooled quickly.

BUT, it went down, down to below 32 degrees. So, I turned the control down ... down ... down. The control is now at its warmest setting, 1, and the temp still remains at 32 or colder (this over a couple of days).

I'm going to try to get my money back from Amazon.BEWARE.

When the ice maker on our refrigerator died, it happpened suddenly without warning, one day ice and the next none.I researched the replacement icemaker as recommended by the GE (manufacturer of the frig), the unit indicated less cubes (7 instead of 8), possible mounting modifications and a jumper harness required (and supplied) to install. After finding the SUPCO RIM300, I found it to be virtually an exact replacement, no modifications required, installed in less than 15 minutes, no harness to try to hide and we had a tub full of ice in 48 hours. It looks original and I think it makes ice faster.

The installation is very easy.If you are replacing an existing unit, just two screws to remove the old unit out and install the new one in.Watch the connector, it plugs just one way in, there is some kind of notch or guide.

But instructions with the unit are very poor.It doesn't mention that one of the cables to plug have some kind of temperature sensor that needs to fit into a clip on the undersideof the unit.

Without that part fitted there, the unit may not work.!!!!!!!!!!

And again the instructions didn't cover that.

On the other hand, one good thing, you can adjust the amount of water that goes in to make the ice cubes.

It came with all the parts needed, including a mounting plate that helps fit the unit to older refrigerators where the mounting screws maybe at a different location.

I installed it and it did not work.I figured out that the ice tray full detector was not installed correctly.Fixed and still did not work.I then unplugged it and put the detector int he full down position and plugged it in.Then it started working.Has produced a ton of ice so a good replacement. 4 stars because instructions did save me from troubleshooting.

Good price, but that is all, usually a short life, but it is the most for the least. Not interested in the 20 word rule.Works goodl, and makes a lot of ice. I have installed 3, and they do turn out the ice.

Received as promised. Only took about 10 minutes to get the door off replace part and put back together. Now the door stays shut.

I ordered this replacement part for my GE refrigerator 26 years old, but still running well.

The part that arrived was not as shown the hinge cut outs were not compatible with the refrigerator. My husband needed to make some adjustments to the hinge (cut it off at the bottom) to make it fit.

We tried to get this GE part from my local dealer as well, and he was not able to get the right one either.Same thing I got from Amazon, so I returned it.

The supplier is advertising this as the part for this refrigerator, but it does not fit.

We finally were able to purchase the correct part, directly from GE after lots of searching. The correct part number is WR49X5124 obtained from www.GEappliances.com

Emerson 8 Bottle Wine Cooler

Emerson 8 Bottle Wine CoolerI only drink on average one bottle of wine per week: one glass per day over four or five days (I preserve the rest of it using a VacuVin or the Private Preserve system) and also buy relatively inexpensive wines that don't require long aging. So this 8-bottle wine cooler from Emerson is perfect for me; it also keeps me on a budget I am limited to having only eight bottles of wine at any one time.

The unit itself is attractive and seems to be well-built. The packaging is also pretty sturdy. There are two metal racks that hold 4 standard (burgundy or bordeaux) bottles each, and be aware that long riesling or oversized Champagne bottles won't fit. Also, unlike some other wine coolers, you can't squeeze in more bottles by taking out the shelves and stacking bottles on top of one another. You're pretty much limited to 8.

This cooler operates on the thermoelectric method (also known as the Peltier effect look it up on Wikipedia), meaning there is no compressor and the only moving part is a fan to circulate air. There are three buttons on the front handle: one to turn on and off the led light inside, one to turn up the temperature in one-degree increments, and one to turn down the temperature in similar increments. Each time you press any of the buttons, a digital thermometer lights up to show you the internal temperature. When you press either the up or down temperature button, the thermometer also lights up to show you the desired temperature you have selected.

When I first plugged this in, the thermometer was in the mid 70's. I set it for 57 degrees and it took about 4 hours or so for it to get to that point.I've had this cooler for over a month now, and every time I check the temperature it is 57 degrees. The room it is in gets pretty warm, like to the low-mid 80's but so far this little unit has managed to maintain a constant temperature. If you keep opening and closing the door or changing wines, of course the temperature is going to vary but since I rarely open it (just once per week to get my wine of the week, and then when I add wines to it), the temperature doesn't vary.

So far I am quite happy with this product. It is totally inadequate if you are trying to build a wine collection, but if you need something small just to hold your wines at the right temperature, this fits the bill very nicely.

Addendum: It has been about three months since I purchased this (I actually purchased another one a few weeks after the 1st one).I bought a couple of digital thermometers to compare their readings with the built-in ones. The built-in thermometers say 57 degrees 99% of the time, whereas the readings on the digital standalone thermometers show readings that vary from the mid 58-degree to high 60-degree range.I live in Southern California and it's been ridiculously hot this summer the ambient temperature in the room where these are located gets up to 86 or 87 degrees until I get home from work and turn on the air conditioner, so under the circumstances, I think these units are performing well.I don't want to turn down the thermostat on them because I feel that will be too much of a strain.I'm happy with a level of 58-60 during the hot summer.Just thought I should share this update with readers, though the built-in does not agree with the standalone temperature readings.

This is a good item for the price. It holds 8 bottles of wine and has a small footprint (although it is deeper than I expected). The fridge keeps ithe set temperature fairly well.I have noticed some fluctuation when putting new bottles in that are room temp.It stabilizes though once it brings everything down to temperature.

I would advise potential buyers to ensure there is enough clearance between the back and a wall so the fan can get proper ventilation. Also remember to clean the filter periodically.

I am basing my rating on the fact I have had experience with the filters with this unit. They are some of the best. Also, the unit itself is very well constructed.I have not yet installed it as it came with no parts sheet, no instructions, and I'm not a plumber so I have had to contact the seller direct. While cordial and responding usually about 24 hours later (send a question during the day and sometime the next day get an answer), I still am not a plumber and some of their responses and hand written out diagram won't really help me.I currently have a different unit that is an RO unit and I'm replacing it with this water filter (not an RO).The fittings I have under my sink now will have to be removed (one plugged and I hope I have the drain cap plug for it) and then replaced with new parts sent in with the unit. This weekend I will bite the bullet and remove the old and install the new.I hope I won't end up with either a leak from the removal and re-install of the new unit.I'm sure this would be a 45 minute or less job for a plumber, but for a novice I suspect it will take a few hours.
